They don't know why the Invisibility Shield divine ability is behaving the way it is. But they can assume that the source of this anomaly has to be them.

After all, the capabilities of the Invisibility Shield are based on its user, not the mastery of the divine ability. So of something is wrong with this divine ability, there had to be something wrong with them.

In order to solve the mystery, they went to see their Seer and Fate Weaver. They wanted her to use her Information Identify divine ability on them to see if there is something about them that they had never noticed.

Their option was to ask a powerful Mage of the White Tower to examine them or ask a powerful Seer to have a look at them.

Mages are the most knowledgeable godclads, so a demigod mage should be able to tell what is going on with them after examining them. Legion believed this because it was the mages that discovered the advancement requirements of the various pathways and made it easier for everyone to advance.

A powerful Seer might also be able to tell what is wrong, and a demigod Seer might even be able to break the effect of their Invisibility Shield divine ability. So they have many options to use to discover what's wrong with them.

They chose to use the second option because they wanted to try the easily accessible solution to them first. If their fate weaver fails to spot the issue, then they will go looking for more powerful seers and mages.

Fortunately, they didn't have to go through so much stress to figure out the root of their problem. The fate weaver was able to spot the issue after taking a good look at them without their Aegis Shield.

They have stripped themselves to their human form for this examination. They also didn't use any divine ability so that the fate weaver would be able to get a good look at them without any interference.

If they had let her see them in their divine form, her eyes would have exploded and she would have died because the spiritual impact would have been too powerful for her to bear. The Aegis Shield divine ability would have also blocked her divine ability.

But without all of this interference, she saw everything about them, including the number of souls and consciousnesses that they had.

From what she could see of them, they didn't learn much that they didn't already know about themselves. Only something that she saw about them stood out.

She saw their age, and it stood out so much that she couldn't estimate their age. Her divine ability struggled to estimate their age, but all it succeeded in doing was to cause the fate weaver to run out of spiritual energy in the attempt.

Legion had to support her with spiritual energy through the Life Siphon divine ability. But it still wasn't enough.

She lacked the raw power to estimate their age, so Legion used the Chain of Command divine ability on her. This caused her spiritual power to increase greatly to the level of a demigod, but it still wasn't enough to see how old they were.

The best that she could tell was that they were older than 10 million years old. Her divine ability stopped at that point.

And when they activated the Invisibility Shield divine ability, she stopped being able to see them. This is despite the fact that she is a Seer who is supposed to be the best at seeing through obstacles and illusions and has the same spiritual power as them.

This made Legion-2 sigh and say, "That settles it. We are too old."

Legion-4 chuckled and said, "To be honest, we should have seen this coming. We just didn't expect that our lifetime in the void universe also counted as our age, especially since it was in the future."

Legion-9 said, "No wonder the increase to our qualifications when we ate the flesh of that undying demigod was so insignificant. Compared to the billions of years that we've lived, there was very little he could add to us."

Legion-10 nodded and said, "And no wonder the Invisibility Shield was so powerful. For a minute there, I thought that the unreasonable power of the Invisibility Shield was because we are in possession of the Authority of the pathway."

Legion-3 said, "Speaking of the Authority of the pathway, did you guys notice that it consumed more spiritual energy to use now?"

Legion-5 replied, "Yes, I noticed that the consumption of spiritual energy has become 1,000 units per second. That's a ten times increase compared to when we were at rank 1. Does the spiritual energy requirement increase the stronger we become, or is there another reason why?"

Legion-6 said, "It is unfortunate that we didn't use the ultimate ability more often, or we would have noticed when the spiritual energy requirement first spiked and been able to narrow down its cause."

Legion-1 called out to them, "Stop fixating on the wrong thing. I think what we should focus on now is the fact that we can become angels of undying now. After all, who can compete with us in terms of age?"

He had interrupted their train of thought, but when they heard what he had to say, they couldn't help but become excited.

They are always excited to acquire more power. But this milestone is more important than every other milestone that they have ever reached because it means that they will be able to become a god soon.

Since they are more than a hundred million years old, it means that they are the oldest undying godclads. According to history, a hundred million years is older than the recorded history of man in this world, so there is very little chance that there could be anyone older than them.

This means that in the whole world of tenebrum, they have the best qualifications to become an angel of undying.
