I Can Assimilate Everything

Chapter 524: An Era of Peace! II

Achilles looked at the eight other Adrastia Emperor Kings assembled before him, his purple-gold eyes tracking each face with a kind of deliberate attention.

When he began to speak, his words were heavy.

"There are many ways that existence could play out," he began, gaze sweeping across the assembled lineage with measured precision.

"I have witnessed a considerable breadth of possibilities through the enemies I have faced and the knowledge obtained from defeating the few Nar'Thyss who fell beneath my capabilities."

He paused, consciousness organizing complex thoughts into explanations that would convey scope without drowning in unnecessary detail.

"With their Existential Authority of Fables…their capacity to weave narratives and shape stories according to predetermined arcs, I gained the ability to perceive circumstances from perspectives beyond my natural inclinations. To understand how different choices cascade into divergent futures, how selecting one path over another doesn't merely change immediate outcomes but fundamentally alters the entire trajectory of what follows."

Rose listened beside him with focused attention.

"When it came to myself and those around me…to our lineage, everyone sheltered within the Sea of Thalassara, I possessed multiple narrative paths I could have selected," Achilles continued.

"I could have chosen to continue the Fable of constant struggle, to embrace the narrative of heroes perpetually embattled against enemies who arrive in endless succession. That path holds certain dramatic appeal, offers opportunities for glory through repeated triumph over adversity."

His expression hardened slightly, purple-gold eyes blazing with rejection of that particular future.

"But that Fable also guarantees perpetual worry about enemies that might manifest here or there, constant vigilance against threats that could emerge from any direction. It's the story our lineage has been trapped within for generations…always fighting, always defending, always reacting to circumstances orchestrated by forces larger than ourselves who wrote us into narratives we never consented to participate in."

The First Adrastia Emperor King's ancient gaze tracked Achilles's words with growing comprehension.

"So I chose to forego that entire paradigm of Fable and write something else entirely," Achilles declared.

"This is precisely where we find ourselves at present. I selected isolation, deliberately relocated us to coordinates where no enemies will come seeking conflict, where we exist beyond the perception of forces that might otherwise consider us threats or resources to be exploited."

He gestured at the distant surrounding Void visible to the truly powerful beyond the balcony's edge…darkness so complete it seemed almost tangible, emptiness that stretched for distances conventional measurement couldn't capture.

"Just as the Nar'Thyss enjoyed time to cultivate and expand across hundreds or even thousands of years without significant external pressure, we now possess that identical potential. The opportunity to advance without interference, to consolidate power without constant defensive requirements, to simply grow at whatever pace our capabilities permit rather than being forced into reactive postures by enemies dictating the tempo of our development."

Adras nodded slowly.

Achilles looked at his father, his grandfather, and finally let his gaze settle on the First Adrastia Emperor King…the legendary founder whose choices had set everything in motion, whose forbidden love had written the opening chapters of a story that had spanned millennia.

"For myself," he continued, voice dropping slightly as he articulated preferences, "I possess no concern about whether we spend the forthcoming weeks, months, years, or even hundreds of years simply cultivating in isolation before eventually pursuing membership in the Civilization of Life."

He paused, letting that temporal scale settle into their consciousness…the audacious suggestion that they might remain hidden for centuries if that proved optimal, that immediate action was neither required nor necessarily desirable.

"And even that ultimate goal…joining the coalition of power represented by the Foldless Ones and their Civilization, remains flexible rather than mandatory. We could elect to never approach their Abodes, to never seek entry into their structure, to simply continue advancing in isolation until we've surpassed them entirely through independent cultivation. Even though current knowledge suggests that we cannot get far through individual cultivation… that learning more about civilizations would be critical."

Thalsian's eyes widened slightly.

"The sole reason I conceived that plan," Achilles explained, "stems from recognizing they are entities who have advanced considerably further into understanding existence's deeper mechanics. Comprehending what they comprehend, assimilating whatever principles and authorities they've integrated into their grand Civilization…that would simply render my own path across existence's boundless territories considerably smoother."

His smile held the predatory satisfaction of someone who had identified valuable resources and was contemplating optimal way to fucking steal everything!

"But it's convenience rather than necessity. An accelerant rather than a requirement. If approaching them proves inadvisable, we'll find alternative routes to similar destinations. Maybe even our own Civilization- because why not? We just need the knowledge for it."

HUUM!

He turned his back on the assembled Adrastia Emperor Kings, facing outward to gaze upon the grand Citadel of Neon sprawling below them.

The blinking radiant lights of countless lives pursuing their own narratives created patterns that shifted and flowed like constellations rearranging themselves according to invisible choreography.

When he continued speaking, his voice was lighter.

"All of you have experienced either dozens of years or hundreds of years of existence," he said quietly, words carrying across the space with perfect clarity despite their reduced volume.

"I have barely surpassed twenty years of life. Existence stretches before me with vastness that makes even cosmic distances seem constrained by comparison."

He paused, consciousness processing the sheer scope of potential futures extending in every direction.

"At this moment, there exists no immediate threat requiring our concern or demanding reactive responses. No enemies capable of locating us in depths where even stellar light becomes meaningless. No forces that can compel us toward actions we haven't selected through deliberate choice."

Rose's emerald eyes tracked his profile as he spoke.

"What my existence desires most profoundly right now," Achilles continued, "is the opportunity to enjoy this interval with the one I love. To experience peace without constant vigilance corrupting every moment of connection. To simply be with her without calculating threat probabilities or maintaining defensive readiness against attacks that might manifest from any vector."

His hand reached out to find Rose's without looking, fingers intertwining.

"And the other critical factor driving my existence…the fundamental impulse that defines who I am beyond all considerations or priorities…remains this need to assimilate. To continue assimilating everything I encounter, every principle and authority and aspect of Existence itself that can be claimed and integrated."

…!

"I wish to follow that impulse to its ultimate end, to pursue assimilation across whatever distances and durations prove necessary, simply to discover what manifestation results when that drive reaches its natural conclusion. What entity emerges when someone dedicates themselves entirely to consuming and integrating everything existence offers without restraint or hesitation."

...!

The words hung in the crystalline air!

Oh!

They were confession and manifesto simultaneously.

His words carried terrifying grandeur..the kind of ambition that made cosmic scales seem merely preliminary!

Beside him, Rose smiled as she absorbed him boldly proclaiming her importance alongside his existential goals.

Her grip on his hand tightened with pressure that communicated appreciation words couldn't adequately convey.

Behind them, the assembled Adrastia Emperor Kings processed the lengthy explanations that recontextualized many things.

They had witnessed his power, recognized his capability to accomplish impossible things.

But hearing him articulate his aims was different!

The First Adrastia Emperor King stepped forward slightly, his ancient presence commanding attention.

"It appears the Ninth of our lineage was destined to eclipse all who preceded him entirely," he said, and the words held no resentment or wounded pride…merely recognition of truth too obvious to deny.

"Very well. We possess the temporal luxury to pursue whatever objectives attract our interest, to assimilate whatever concepts or authorities appeal to our individual inclinations, to simply enjoy existence without the perpetual pressure of external threats dictating our priorities."

His gaze swept across his descendants…generations of Emperor Kings who had struggled and fallen, now granted second chances through the Ninth's unprecedented intervention.

"For manifesting such possibilities into concrete reality, for pulling us from our graves and relocating us to sanctuary where futures remain genuinely open rather than predetermined by forces beyond our control..."

He paused, and genuine gratitude colored his next words!

"We extend our collective appreciation. You have accomplished what none of us managed."

...!

Achilles smiled and nodded at those words.

He turned back to face the assembled Emperor Kings, purple-gold eyes blazing with conviction.

"We possess the freedom to determine precisely how our futures will unfold," he confirmed, "Pending the unlikely circumstance of sudden conflict or an absurdly powerful existence somehow locating us within the Void's immeasurable depths…which I consider improbable given the precautions implemented and the sheer distances involved…we can cultivate at whatever pace we prefer."

His expression shifted slightly.

"And precisely because of that uncertainty, because I comprehend that nothing guarantees our security despite my confidence in the measures taken, I will continue preparing against scenarios where circumstances deteriorate contrary to expectations."

The shift was subtle but significant.

"Which is why I will persist in assimilating," Achilles declared.

"Why I will continue advancing through whatever means present themselves, accumulating power and authority and understanding without respite or hesitation."

His consciousness expanded outward as he spoke, touching aspects of existence surrounding them with possessive attention.

"Until the boundless weavings of existence…every concept governing how reality operates, every authority defining what becomes possible at elevated scales, every aspect comprising what is rather than what merely seems…are assimilated entirely beneath my existence."

BOOM!

The ambition in those words transcended anything that should have been articulable!

He was proclaiming his intention to consume everything…to integrate existence itself so completely that distinguishing between Achilles and reality would become meaningless exercise!

"And when that assimilation reaches completion," he continued, voice dropping to barely above whisper, "there will exist absolutely no uncertainties. No possibilities for circumstances to deteriorate contrary to expectations. No potential for enemies to emerge from areas I haven't already accounted for and neutralized."

His final words pulsed with conviction.

"Because I will have become existence itself. And existence cannot surprise itself with unexpected developments."

...!

BOOM!

Toward the culmination of that declaration, his figure erupted with terrifying radiance…light that somehow manifested as darkness simultaneously.

His purple-gold hair moved wildly, and his eyes blazed with mad ambition that would have made entities operating at Civilizational scales surprised!

The crystalline balcony trembled beneath the weight of authority radiating from his form!

Oh!

Rose stood beside him unmoved, her own power rising in resonance…blue-green radiance intertwining with his purple-gold brilliance.

The assembled Adrastia Emperor Kings stared at their descendant with expressions cycling through awe, concern, and wonder!
