"I will not fall for your schemes, so if you want me dead, go ahead and kill me, and let's see whether you and those close to you can survive the aftermath," Avotha said, unsure if Kent was indeed lying to him or not.

"Okay, I have decided," Kent said, "I will be killing you."

Avotha's body shuddered when he heard these words. However, before he could say anything, Gaap stepped in.

[Let's not go that far just yet.] Gaap knew Kent was serious about wanting to kill Avotha. However, doing so would indeed be detrimental to Kent.

He may be strong, but even he, alone or with the connections he has now, cannot gather enough to go against the Siliconik Abyss Dragon Family.

He will lose, and Gaap, who knew how dangerous they are, wanted to prevent that.

Gaap looked at Avotha, who he knew didn't want to die... or at least wasn't ready to die. If he were ready, he would have already done more than enough to anger Kent so he could kill him easily.

[Have you ever heard of the Bloodforge Sovereign?] Gaap asked, and Avotha nodded.

[Then would you believe me if I were to tell you I am the Bloodforge Sovereign?]

Avotha looked at Gaap for a good minute, but maybe because he was in denial, he couldn't bring himself to think the demon before him was actually the infamous Blood Sword that once shook hell.

Gaap laughed...

[I am the Bloodforge Sovereign, and since you've heard of me, then you might already know I fought with a general of your race before. You would also know it ended him, losing an ear, while my name spread like wildfire.

So tell me, if someone who has cut off the ear of a god while only at the True Immortal stage could bow to a mere mortal, what makes you think he doesn't have what he says he has?

Maybe he is lying, or maybe he is not. However, know this: killing you will be the easiest thing for him.

So maybe take a leap of faith and you might be surprised.]

Gaap left the rest to Avotha, who, after so many thoughts, decided to take the offer and become Kent's ride.

Kent formed a hand seal and created a contract.

Although he was reluctant, Avotha accepted the contract. However, when it was formed and he sensed the content, his expression changed...

"What?" Kent smirked, "You thought I was going to enslave you?"

Of course, Avotha thought that. However, to his surprise, it was a contract of Mutual Respect. This means Kent cannot force him or command him against his will, and in return, he cannot go against Kent.

In a way, they are now equals, something that, if Avotha comes to learn of Kent's true identity, he will be shocked by.

After signing the contract, Kent deactivated his dragon form, returning to his human form.

"Tell me about this place."

Avotha, now free, also transformed into his draconic form, taking the look of a handsome dragon with long dark hair and black dragon horns.

He had the mark of death on his forehead, showing the Origin Law of Death had recognized him.

"I have only been here for 1,200 years... a very short time to know much." Avotha started to speak, but he was forced to stop when Kent gave him the 'bruh' look.

"You called 1,200 years a very short time... Bro, do you know how many would kill to live 1,200 years where I am from?"

Kent was referring to Earth, where the oldest dies before 100. However, this bastard had the audacity to call 1,200 years a very short time.

[He is less than 30, so he thinks 1,200 is a long time.]

Avotha gave Gaap the 'I know bruh... kids' look before continuing with what he was saying.

"So, within those 1,200 years, I know the core layer of the Damned Hell Sea is ruled by seven overlords. I killed the overlord here and took his place.

All seven of us are merely either looking for treasures, since there are a lot of treasures here, or cultivating the Supreme Grade Hell Flame, whose core can be found inside that building."

Avotha pointed at the Dragon Mansion not far from where they were.

"I see. I am here for the flame... so I will work on that first." Kent turned to Gaap. "But you can explore this place if you want."

[Naa. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity... I will never have a chance to be this close to a Supreme Grade Primordial Flame ever again, so I will cultivate beside it.]

"Okay." Kent then turned to Avotha. "What about you?"

"I don't have much use for it since I have already completed my cultivation. Now, I am looking for treasures, so I will focus on that."

Kent nodded. He walked toward him and pressed his finger against Avotha's forehead and transmitted the first form of the Genesis of Death to him, causing the bastard to widen his eyes in shock.

"I will give you the first form now, and the second form when I am done with my time here." Kent smiled weakly. "Of course, the 3rd to 7th I don't have, but in the future, I will have them ready for when we meet."

With Avotha frozen in sheer shock, Kent started moving toward the Dragon Mansion.

"Oh, you cannot share it with anyone unless I give you my permission."

Kent laughed, and then he teleported, leaving Avotha to stare at his back as he entered the building...

He then turned toward Gaap. "So he was telling the truth."

[Big time. I have only known him for less than three years, but he has proven to me how capable he is. I would have been disappointed if the son of the Death Priestess Angelica turned down such an offer.]

"You know my mother?" Avotha was shocked again when Gaap mentioned his mom's name. Gaap laughed...

[Of course, I know her. After all, she was my master several millions of years ago... long before your bastard father cast her to hell to forever be locked in this damned place.]

Avotha's body shuddered.

"So you knew?"

[I do. You are no heir of the Siliconiks... You are an outcast they didn't know existed.]

"If you know this... why did you prevent him from killing me? From the way he sounded, my death would have benefited him more than keeping me alive." Avotha's shock seemed to be multiplying.

[I know. However, I couldn't bring myself to see a son of my former master die just like that. You deserve better, just as your mother should have.

So I saved you, and I hope in the future, you will pay back this kindness severalfold.]

Avotha went down on his knees and made a pledge... "I promise on my lifeblood that this kindness, I, Avotha De Angelica, will pay back in full, even if it will cost me my life."

Kent, who had just arrived at the core of the Supreme Grade Primordial Flame, smirked. 'So that was the reason, huh... No wonder my Heavenly Jade Eyes couldn't see this.'

Another question then appeared in his mind, which quickly turned into a theory... 'If I entered a realm from the Divine Era, the 3rd Era, then how come I am in the present Era, and even more importantly, who would be crazy enough to pull a sword from the future to the past just so we could meet?'

A certain white-haired paragon's image appeared in his mind, causing Kent to chuckle.
