Immortality Through Array Formations

Chapter 961: Dragon Coffin

The aura of the Karma Dragon was deep and intense, carrying an unparalleled majesty that made everyone present tremble inside, a faint feeling of "submission" emerging within them.

The old man in the black robe looked devout, half-kneeling on the ground.

Young Master Xuan's face slightly paled, bending over to pay his respects.

The Bear Demon Cultivator was internally terrified, prostrating in salute.

Mo Hua, however, remained motionless.

His Divine Sense was extremely strong, and with Divine Thought Taoism, close to deity level, he had an innate resistance to this kind of "majesty" on the level of Divine Sense.

In life, a person kneels to heaven, earth, and their parents.

The royal family of the Great Wilderness, no matter how powerful and majestic, did not deserve his submission.

Moreover, he was now a pitiful "puppet" implanted with the Planting Devil in Taoist Heart.

A "puppet" had no feelings, how could it willingly kneel and bow?

As the dragon's aura diminished, the people slowly stood up.

The huge dragon head opened, the grand door swung open, revealing behind it a world of resplendent gold and divine majesty.

"The royal tomb of the Great Wilderness has opened..."

Shen Tuao, covered in dragon patterns, said softly, then stepped forward, his body as towering as a small mountain, slowly walking into the final Divine Temple.

A few people, including the old man in black robes, also followed in step.

Young Master Xuan glanced at Shen Tuao and the others, his gaze obscure, pondering something unknown. Moments later, he ordered Mo Hua and the other two:

"Go."

Mo Hua obediently, with a stupefied gait, followed as they walked into Gushan Temple, which held the secrets of the Great Wilderness.

Inside the temple, the sight was ablaze with dazzling gold, extremely luxurious.

All around the long staircase were various kinds of statues.

These statues, with various poses and utmost intricacy—standing, sitting, lying, wearing golden armor, or clad in magnificent robes, in scholarly attire, or draped in grand cloaks—each had a stern, elongated face, all invariably depicted as Lord Yellow Mountain.

Mo Hua couldn't help but click his tongue in wonder:

How many people, how much time, how much yellow ore, and how many Spirit Stones must have been used to forge so many divine statues.

This Lord Yellow Mountain...

To be so corrupt, it's no wonder it has fallen on hard times.

Indeed, some things are divinely destined.

"But, why is Lord Yellow Mountain going to such lengths to make so many statues...?"

Mo Hua was a bit puzzled, muttering to himself, and then continued to walk forward with the others.

The route thereafter encountered no mechanisms or Killing Formations.

This grand hall seemed to be for offering tribute to the royal tomb of the Great Wilderness and the Mountain God of Solitary Mountain City. Outside, there might be perilous crises and treacherous conditions, but inside the grand hall, to avoid disturbing entities such as the royal family or deities, it was instead serene and solemn.

Thus, the group bypassed a multitude of statues of varying shapes and forms and walked all the way to the deepest part of the grand hall.

In the deepest part, it was more grand and magnificent, with a shimmering glow.

A much larger statue of the Mountain Lord was built deep within.

This Mountain Lord wore royal armor, embodying an aura of power without anger, looking at first glance like the deity of Solitary Mountain City, but on closer inspection, resembling the royal family of the Great Wilderness.

Deity and royalty, the two styles fused into one, creating this enormous statue of the Mountain Lord, situated at the deepest part of the Divine Temple.

Beneath this statue lay a sarcophagus.

The shape of this sarcophagus was nearly identical to the huge bright yellow bronze coffin outside in the underground palace, nurturing countless flesh and corpse statues.

Yet this sarcophagus was far more exquisite and delicate, only large enough to bury one person, and its materials were evidently far more precious.

What's more special is that on top of this sarcophagus, a mighty and unruly dragon was carved.

This was a dragon coffin!

Mo Hua's heart trembled slightly, his thoughts turning:

"Who is buried in this dragon coffin? Is it the royal family of the Great Wilderness?"

"Is the dragon vein of the Great Wilderness, mentioned by Shen Tuao, also hidden in this dragon coffin?"

"Speaking of which, what on earth is the 'dragon vein' of the Great Wilderness? Is it some kind of inheritance, a set of dragon bones, or some other part of the dragon?"

"Could it possibly contain... the complete Four Symbols Green Dragon Evil Formation Diagram?"

Mo Hua's eyes slightly trembled, quietly heaving a sigh of relief.

"Finally... my Lifebound Formation is getting closer and closer..."

It was a journey full of challenges.

Mo Hua had not expected that Solitary Mountain City hid so many dangers and that so many deadly schemes had been laid down.

Grave passages, eerie corpse spirits.

Flesh sacrificial statues, thousands of corpses sealed within coffins.

Ten-thousand-man pit, sinister ghost paths.

And within this Divine Temple, the golden Taoist Field teeming with fiends.

Guarded by the ancestors of the Great Wilderness, the dragon head gate of the Divine Temple could only be opened by a descendant of the Great Wilderness royal bloodline.

Mo Hua pondered a while and realized that other than dealing with ghostly evil spirits, which didn't cost him much effort, it seemed that the other challenges could not be solved by his abilities.

Especially the dragon head gate, to which he had no solution whatsoever—after all, his body didn't carry the royal blood of the Great Wilderness.

Luckily, those big Demon Heads from the Demon Sect were a massive help to him.

And now, after all this struggle, the dragon coffin of the Great Wilderness was finally within reach.

Mo Hua suppressed the excitement in his heart, standing aside like an "innocent puppet" without evil intent.

And indeed, no one present regarded him as significant.

In their eyes, there was only that dragon coffin, a symbol of royal power, honor, and extraordinary aura of the Great Wilderness.

"Is it inside the coffin?" Young Master Xuan asked.

The old man in black robes nodded, "Exactly."

In Young Master Xuan's eyes, a trace of fanaticism appeared, "Then what are we waiting for? Why not open the coffin?"

The old man in black robe shook his head, "Not yet."

Young Master Xuan frowned, "Why?"

"Inside the dragon coffin is sealed an Evil Embryo."

"Evil Embryo?!"

Young Master Xuan's pupils contracted.

Mo Hua's heart also trembled as well.
