How do you deal with two mothers?
Now that was something Noah would have rather left unsaid, or at least not addressed until the tension of this event became nothing but wistful memories for either of them, something they would recall only when they were about to rule reality together.
That would have been perfect. Or rather, it would have been way easier for him to find a way out of this situation.
But that was clearly not something he could even envision, as he looked at the way his mother was staring at him. She was looking at him exactly as she did when a woman got too close to him or when someone dared to annoy him.
'Being at the receiving end of this doesn't feel so nice,' Noah admitted inwardly, steeling himself for the upcoming conversation.
"I don't need to guess to know that you're planning to revive her," Selene said softly, her voice still carrying that chilling coldness. "But before we talk about that whole process, I need you to answer one question first."
She raised a slender finger, its sharp blue nail glimmering under the smile of the sun.
Noah was still lying on her lap. He wanted to get up, but he knew better than to try that now.
The women around him were watching with obvious amusement. It was so rare to see Noah flustered or uncertain but lately, they had been blessed with plenty of such moments.
They had seen Noah awkward. They had seen Noah cry. They had seen him uncomfortable.
They knew they had to enjoy this, because moments like these only came once every few years with him.
Noah could sense their mockery, but he only tightened his jaw, already thinking of several possible ways to punish his wives later.
And weirdly — or maybe not — all the ways he was thinking of were things he fully intended to indulge himself in.
For now, though…
"I'm listening, Mother," he said evenly. "What do you wish to know?"
Selene didn't hesitate.
"Who is your first mother?" she asked, her voice tinged with obvious jealousy, her lips pressed into a thin line. "And how will you call us if you revive her?"
"Clearly, you don't intend to call both of us Mother, right?"
Noah expected this question, but expecting it didn't mean he knew how to answer without hurting either Selene's feelings or, later, Maryam's.
The two of them were both his mothers. They came from different lives and timelines, but that didn't change the fact that both had birthed him and cared for him in their own ways.
Now, Noah needed to think carefully.
And as if understanding his will, Providence acted, making time flow unbelievably faster for him than for those around him. A year for him became a second for the others.
Noah smiled appreciatively at her, giving a subtle inward wink before refocusing his thoughts.
Now…
'How to call them?'
'Mother One and Mother Two? No. That would only create differences and barriers between them. That would be the stupidest thing to do.'
His thoughts sharpened.
'If not those, then what?' he mused. 'The most logical thing would be to discard the term "Mother" entirely…' He paused, then shook his head.
'No. I know Selene, she wouldn't like me discarding that name from my vocabulary.'
His mind boiled, possibilities swirling until finally, something began to solidify.
A solution.
A way to name them both.
Mother Maryam and Mother Selene were good enough.
But Noah was an extravagant man, he liked to go beyond what was necessary.
And since he held power over titles, of course he would fancy the idea of giving them names.
Names tied not just to him, but to the nature of motherhood itself.
Not like Shadeva's title, these two would be his mothers, not anyone else's.
And that's why…
"Maybe, Mother," Noah said with a faint smile, "you would allow me to name you."
"It will be a name both unique and similar, one that Mother Maryam will also receive, if she wishes for it."
Selene and the girls tilted their heads.
"Meaning?" Elira asked, voicing the question all of them were thinking.
Noah rolled his eyes subtly, too lazy to explain in full but still indulging them.
"The title will share the same concept, Mother of Noah. But the attributes will differ, since each of you raised me differently… and gave me different things."
Explained like that, Selene immediately got excited for some reason. Her curiosity bloomed, and she seemed to forget all her past grievances in an instant.
She grabbed Noah by the shoulders and flung him upward before pulling him close, forcing him to meet her gaze directly. Her precious, once-cold and lifeless blue eyes were now warm and gleaming with the same dangerous excitement she always showed whenever she knew Noah would soon shower her with his white milk.
"I'm listening!" she said brightly, her voice carrying the shrill eagerness of a young maiden.
The others approached too, curious about what title Selene would receive. They weren't jealous in the slightest. What they cared for was Noah's love and attention, and they knew they had both.
And still, Selene deserved this much, they believed.
Noah calmed his mother with a gentle smile, then parted his lips.
"I've thought of many titles," he began, "but I think I'll settle with this one."
Selene had been a special mother to him. She had given him the foundation to grow strong, protecting him and making sure he always had the opportunity to rise further.
And beyond that, her obsessive love for him was her most defining attribute.
And so…
"You have many characteristics," Noah said softly, eyes locked with hers, "but let me choose the most defining ones. Obsessive. Loving. Protective. Compassionate."
And for all those traits…
"…your name shall be…"
Earth itself paused once again.
In that instant, Noah thought he heard the furious curses of three beings calling him every imaginable name.
Rather accurate thought…yet…
He shrugged it off, thinking it might just be his imagination.
He continued calmly,
"Mother of Chains."
As if his words carried divine power, ethereal chains tore open reality itself, slithering out from the cracks of existence and wrapping around Selene in a protective embrace.
Selene stood still, eyes wide. She could feel those chains seeping deep inside her, weaving through her soul, coiling around her entire being.
And at that moment, she understood the meaning behind the name Noah had given her.
He had seen her clearly, recognized the core of her nature better than anyone else. Her obsessive heart that forged chains not out of control, but out of love and fear of loss.
To be chained by her was to be loved by her eternally…to be guarded, to be chosen, to be worth dying for.
Her chains were heavy… but it was precisely that heaviness that had saved Noah time and time again.
And that's exactly why…
"How do you like—!"
Noah didn't even finish before Selene's chains pierced straight into his body, burrowing deeper until they reached a place he never thought she could touch.
His soul.
There, her chains of love wrapped around his very essence, then melted into countless butterflies of light, flooding his inner world.
The result was immediate.
Selene's face softened into a radiant, almost maddening smile, her eyes brimming with love and an even greater obsession than Noah remembered she was capable of.
He could feel it through the tether now binding them, her voice vibrating through his very core.
"I will die if you die," Selene whispered, wrapping her hands around his neck and leaning closer, her lips brushing his until their breaths mingled, warm and trembling.
She closed her eyes, her forehead pressed against his. "Don't forget, my baby… my love."
The girls watched in rapt silence, the sudden closeness awakening something they had tried hard to suppress during their stay on Earth.
"Do not die," Selene murmured, shameless and tender, "for doing so would kill your favorite mother."
Noah's smile turned wry. "Then why didn't you make it the other way around?"
Selene's smile didn't waver. "No mother would wish her son to follow her to the grave. So I wouldn't wish that for you either, my dear baby, you have many responsibilities upon you."
"I cannot take you with me," she smirked, "but you can take me with you."
Noah smiled faintly, love swelling inside him. "I will make sure that will never happen," he promised, and then…
"It's all really beautiful, I'm even crying, believe me. But I think it's time we address an important matter," Alice said, hugging Noah from behind.
Lilith approached with sinful steps, her hips swaying, making her ass jiggle, her smile wide. "Indeed," she said, crouching down at the thigh of Noah, showing him and the rest clearly her pink panties where her pussy was clearly visible, dripping with slick liquid.
"You have business with us, my master," she slurred, her voice thick with lust.
"You have wasted enough of our time. Our patience is limited, now come…" Dominique whispered.
"…how about you stop this world's time? Let all beings in this former world of yours stay paused while you…" Elizabeth continued.
"…fuck women their minds would never fathom?" Ester added.
And Justicia came, slowly touching his dick. Selene grinned as she bit Noah's lips sensually.
"Are you ready?" Aphasia said. "We are hungry," she finished.
Noah only smirked.
"Hungry?" He chuckled. "Ladies… I am not hungry."
"I am starving."
