Chapter 1278: Sinmore Clan (Part 2)

Under the narration of the ancient Sword Spirit, Lin Tian gained a deeper understanding of the Sinmore Clan.

Although the Sinmore Clan is ancient, its history is much shorter compared to other Blood Clans. The original Sinmore members were a group of human mages who longed for eternal life.

These mages were obsessed with immortality. Through various means, the mages obtained the blood of an elder from the Jimi Chi Clan. Then, using a mysterious power through alchemy and witchcraft, they acquired the ability to suck blood. In other words, these mages became vampires, marking the origin of the Sinmore Clan.

However, in the eyes of the Blood Clan, their bloodline is noble and must not be desecrated. The actions of these mages, using Blood Clan blood to become vampires—especially that of an elder—made them enemies of other Blood Clans.

Particularly the Jimi Chi Clan, which considers the Sinmore Clan as a mortal enemy. The Jimi Chi Clan was once the strongest among all clans but was severely damaged in its struggle with the Sinmore Clan, leading to a significant decline in power.

"The above is some history of the Sinmore Clan. I don't know what happened after I was sealed. In truth, the Sinmore Clan and the Jimi Chi Clan are very similar in many ways."

"For example, members of both clans possess a scholarly demeanor. Especially in the Jimi Chi Clan, many members are well-educated. They pursue and yearn for knowledge, particularly being as proficient in witchcraft as scientists are with science."

"However, comparatively, the Jimi Chi Clan's level of witchcraft is somewhat inferior to that of the Sinmore Clan, as the members of the Sinmore Clan originally transformed from mages."

"How is it? Are you satisfied with my narrative?" The Sword Spirit showed off a bit of historical knowledge and said proudly.

"I would be more satisfied if you could tell me where the Sinmore Clan's lair is," Lin Tian said with a smile.

"Actually, the Blood Clan doesn't have a lair in the true sense. They might be hiding in some city, a small town, or a remote wilderness. Perhaps the person who just walked past you is from the Blood Clan, or maybe they are part of the royal family. Besides, if I knew where the Blood Clan's lair was, wouldn't I have destroyed them with King Arthur long ago instead of waiting until now?" the Sword Spirit said again.

Lin Tian nodded, agreeing with the Sword Spirit for the first time, and said, "What you say makes sense. However, since it's a clan, there's bound to be a relatively fixed gathering place. It seems we'll still have to rely on the steward to find them."

"I'm curious, you traveled thousands of miles from Huaxia to England and are going to great lengths to find those high-ranking Blood Clans, despite the tremendous challenges. What exactly is your purpose?" the Sword Spirit asked curiously.

Lin Tian was silent for a moment, then said softly, "To save a person."

"Your woman?" the Sword Spirit asked with a gossipy tone.

Lin Tian just smiled without answering the question and turned to walk into the hotel. When he returned to the guest room, he saw two people waiting in the living room, more accurately, two vampires.

"Brother Tian, has Miss returned?" Rossi asked.

"She has," Lin Tian answered and then looked at the steward, "What's your name?"

"Morman," the steward answered respectfully.

"Very well, Morman, now tell me, where is the Sinmore Clan?" Lin Tian asked directly.

Morman thought for a moment and answered, "I don't know where the core headquarters of the Sinmore Clan is..."

"Hmm?" Lin Tian squinted his eyes slightly and hummed.

Frightened, Morman immediately knelt down on both knees. In the Blood Clan, a servant-level vampire like him has no status and is bound by a higher-ranked vampire, obeying his master's commands.

Morman quickly said, "The highest leader of the Sinmore Clan is a prince, and I'm just a servant to an elder. I have no qualifications to enter the prince's domain, but I know the residence of an elder whom I'm a servant to. This elder has a high status in the Sinmore Clan and is responsible for researching alchemy."

"Take me there immediately," Lin Tian ordered decisively.

"But the elder will kill you. You're not a member of the Sinmore Clan, and even lower-ranked members would be killed if they entered the elder's domain without permission," Morman said in fear.

In his view, if Lin Tian and the others were killed, he certainly wouldn't survive either. In the elder's wrath, he would also be exterminated. He had seen too many blood servants killed for displeasing the elder and facing annihilation.

When he was assigned by the elder to supervise and observe Clark, he was happy for a while because it meant he could stay away from the elder, and being away from the elder meant staying away from danger.

"I've heard there's a saying in Huaxia, 'accompanying an emperor is like accompanying a tiger,' but being with an elder is even more dangerous. You're walking into the tiger's den," Morman tried hard to persuade. If he weren't summoned by the elder, he'd never want to return to that place for his entire life.

"Stop talking. Let's go. If you don't take me there, you'll die right now," Lin Tian said coldly.

"Alright," Morman had no choice but to nod.

Not wanting to delay any longer, Lin Tian immediately ordered him to set off. The car, naturally provided by the hotel, drove out of Wudu City again under Morman's guidance.

"Kid, actually, you don't need to worry about your identity. You could join the Sinmore Clan as a wanderer. The Sinmore Clan has always valued talent and knowledge. As long as you have genuine skills, I think they wouldn't reject you," the Sword Spirit suddenly said.

"Wanderer? What kind of wanderer? Do you mean a street drifter?" Lin Tian asked curiously.

The Sword Spirit disdainfully said, "What you mean is a beggar. How could that be the same? To be precise, they are vampire wanderers. They don't belong to any clan, moving alone. This group of wanderers is polarized. The weak vampires have no status and are despised by clans, but the strong ones can be recruited by some clans."

"The term 'strong' here can refer to combat strength or other skills, like alchemy. Just like in human society, you need to have a specialty. Particularly in the Sinmore Clan, who originally transformed from humans into vampires through Secret Techniques, they don't consider the vampire bloodline as noble as other clans do—without that fanaticism."

"Therefore, the Sinmore Clan is more inclined to absorb the excellent among the vampire wanderers. Of course, it's just a suggestion. There's always the risk of encountering a quirky Blood Clan Elder, which is a life-threatening danger. How to decide still depends on you thinking it through," the Sword Spirit concluded.

"Little Ya, I find you quite useful after all—at least not just a useless parasite that only eats," Lin Tian said with a smile.

"Nonsense, how could I, the King, be a parasite? Even if I don't have combat power, I still have knowledge. I've lived for hundreds of years and at least count as a scholar," the Sword Spirit said proudly, its metaphorical tail almost wagging up to the sky.
