Rossi reached into his pocket, grabbed the glass bottle, and looked at Lin Tian very seriously, "Thank you, Brother Tian."
Lin Tian could tell that Rossi's gratitude was not just a token of thanks like others', but more an expression of loyalty.
Lin Tian patted his shoulder and said, "Don't think too much about it. At my level, ordinary potions are useless to me. I made this one especially for you. Alright, head back. I just turned down a few ladies who wanted to stay the night; if you linger here too long, they'll think I have some peculiar preference."
Rossi nodded, moved, and jumped out of the window.
The world finally quieted down. Lin Tian breathed a sigh of relief. After being busy all night, he could finally sleep. However, probably spurred by Asina and Luo Lin, Lin Tian, who hadn't had erotic dreams for a long time, spent the whole night having them.
The next morning, Lin Tian was still enjoying his dream when some loud shouting woke him up. Usually, no one could wake him, but it was that chatty Sword Spirit yelling directly in his mind.
One of the worst things in the world is interrupting someone else's erotic dream, Lin Tian shouted angrily, "Little Ya, are you itching for a beating? You messed up my dream."
"I'm doing it for your own good, early to bed, early to rise, keeps you healthy. But you, you're in pretty good shape, the privilege of youth," the Sword Spirit spoke like a total old rascal.
Lin Tian looked at his blanket, a certain part raised high up, all because of that dream.
He suddenly remembered something he'd read online, something about "men shouldn't keep cats, women shouldn't keep dogs," supposedly wisdom passed down from ancient times. Seeing it now, it felt true. If a man had an erotic dream and there was some movement, the cat might think it's a mouse and bite it off, which would be a disaster.
"By the way, Little Ya, why do I feel like you've been constantly asleep? Is something wrong?" Remembering the Sword Spirit had been mostly silent these days, Lin Tian asked with concern.
"Well, it's quite conscientious of you to care about me. But rest assured, I'm fine. Ever since I absorbed your flame energy, I've often fallen into slumber, probably digesting the energy I absorbed earlier," the Sword Spirit said happily.
"I see." Lin Tian pondered for a moment and then said, "Since you're awake now, why not help me with something?"
"What is it? Let me make it clear, don't come to me for anything that requires hard work or thinking," the Sword Spirit still as shameless and lazy as ever.
Lin Tian scoffed at him before saying, "I might be getting into a big brawl soon and want to forge a sword. You are a Sword Spirit, practically an elder in the field of swordmaking, so you need to give me some guidance."
"A big brawl? Sounds like you're planning for something huge. But, you've asked the right person; I do have some expertise in sword forging," the Sword Spirit said proudly.
Lin Tian had already figured out this Sword Spirit's temperament; he couldn't resist praise. Once praised, he'd get carried away, and at such times, chances of getting him to do things were higher.
"Alright, it's settled then. I'll go to the Blood Clan for materials later," Lin Tian said.
After freshening up and changing clothes, Lin Tian went downstairs alone, making his way to the underground bar. As he reached the bar's lobby, he saw quite a few people were already seated. But here, there was soothing music playing. The Blood Clan's discussions were louder than the music.
However, as soon as they saw Lin Tian coming in, the Blood Clan members instinctively lowered their voices.
Someone stood up from the corner. Others looked curiously, realizing it was Reya, someone they couldn't afford to offend. Yet, they were thinking there would be a good show, assuming Reya intended to cause trouble for Lin Tian.
But soon, they were stunned. Reya walked up to Lin Tian, not arrogant or domineering, but respectfully said, "Good morning, Brother Tian."
"I... Did I hear that right? Reya actually called him Brother Tian?" one of the Blood Clan members exclaimed in surprise.
"That's not like him at all; it's unbelievable," another Blood Clan member said in disbelief.
"Reya never submitted to Lord Luo Lin, and now he calls a newcomer Brother Tian," the Blood Clan were chattering. Their gossip seemed no different from humans.
Just as they were talking, another person walked out from the corridor. Upon appearing, the Blood Clan immediately quieted their discussions because the newcomer was Marquis Luo Lin, someone even harder to deal with than Reya.
Upon coming out, Luo Lin first noticed Lin Tian. She hesitated for a moment, then walked over to him, though there was something strange in her expression, probably still thinking about last night's "staying over" incident.
"Good morning, Lord Luo Lin. Did you sleep well last night?" Lin Tian said casually, even somewhat flirtily.
The Blood Clan were stunned again. This newcomer dared to speak to Lord Luo Lin like that. Wasn't he asking for trouble? They all knew Luo Lin's character; even if an elder favored you, she'd still give you a hard time if you crossed her.
Her power and status being what they were, none of these Blood Clan members were foolish enough to provoke this female Marquis.
But once again, they were stunned because Luo Lin didn't get angry but gently replied, "I slept well."
The Blood Clan members' eyes widened with disbelief. The two most short-tempered individuals in the Crown Bar were being courteous to a newcomer. It gave them an illusion, making them feel as if they hadn't woken up.
"What are you all staring at? Hurry and greet Brother Tian," Reya glared at the Blood Clan, his face stern. Once he snapped at them, they felt like the old Reya was back, only now he was glaring at them.
A group of Blood Clan members hurriedly shouted, "Good morning, Brother Tian!"
Reya was finally satisfied, then said to Lin Tian, "Brother Tian, have a seat here. I'll have someone prepare breakfast for you."
Lin Tian understood Reya's change of attitude; it was not just because he accepted his loss but also because he'd spared his life.
Lin Tian wasn't particularly concerned about his courtesy; he gestured to Luo Lin, inviting her to join him. Luo Lin hesitated but did not refuse, and sat at the same table with Lin Tian. This astonished the Blood Clan once more; today, they were all baffled. The three least likely to sit together did so, all because of this newcomer called "Brother Tian."
Lin Tian didn't mind the other Blood Clan members' discussions and said to Luo Lin and Reya, "Luo Lin, Reya, I want to forge a weapon. Does the Blood Clan have any Swordsmiths?"
He got straight to the point, which was why he invited Luo Lin to sit at the table with him.
Luo Lin and Reya exchanged a glance, and then Reya said, "Sinmore has a Swordsmith, but forging a new weapon might be a bit challenging right now."
