"Sister, stop..." Rossi hurriedly shouted. He knew the master's temper; if she was provoked and had the intent to kill, no one could save them. This was something he did not want to see.
"Lord, don't..." Ai Wei also called out anxiously. It was hard to spare a life, and she didn't want to watch Lord send herself to death again.
But their shouts couldn't stop Charlotte. The anger in her eyes was astonishing. As a Blood Clan Lord tormented like this by Lin Tian, she needed to defeat the man in front of her to regain all her pride. Even when the blanket on her body fell off, exposing her, she didn't care.
Lin Tian didn't move and stood calmly. As she pounced, he simply glanced at her, and Charlotte immediately let out a scream, falling to the ground, clutching her head in agony.
Ai Wei hurriedly grabbed the sheet and ran forward, covering Charlotte with it. Yet, Charlotte remained unaware, just held her head in pain as if it were about to explode.
"Lin... Lin Tian, what did you do to me? Why... why can't I control myself?" Charlotte's eyes were filled with pain and confusion, her words broken.
"Nothing much, just implanted a drop of zombie essence blood into your body. You are what you were before; the only difference is, you can't defy my orders now, and if I want you dead, it's just a matter of thought." Lin Tian spoke lightly, but Charlotte was horrified.
There's an old saying in Huaxia: trying to steal a chicken only to end up losing the rice used to lure it. She not only lost the "lady" but also herself.
"I don't believe it. No one can control me, no one!" Charlotte's eyes opened wide in anger, black gas surged from her body, instantly transforming into a Blood-sucking Bat, about to fly outside.
Lin Tian just looked at her again, and the bat that just took off fell with a snap, no matter how it struggled, it could no longer fly.
After the black gas faded, Charlotte returned to human form, but she didn't move recklessly, only glaring at Lin Tian with defiance in her eyes.
"Truly a stubborn woman. Ai Wei, help your master get dressed and let her reflect properly." Lin Tian coldly glanced at her, walked past her towards the living room. Zhang Lingyu and Rossi followed, leaving only Charlotte and Ai Wei.
Sitting in the living room, Lin Tian looked at Rossi and asked, "With the way I've treated your sister, do you hate me?"
"No." Rossi answered quickly, respectfully saying, "Brother Tian sparing my sister's life is more than I can be grateful for."
"It's a pity, you call her sister, but she doesn't acknowledge you as a brother." Lin Tian shook his head slightly.
"Though my sister doesn't acknowledge me, she didn't kill me either. When Brother Tian was imprisoned, she only locked me up, showing my influence on her thoughts. Perhaps her memory has issues, forgetting many things." Rossi said respectfully.
"You're right. Charlotte's problem lies in her memory, but I've diagnosed her and found nothing wrong, which is quite abnormal. Normally, memory problems would reflect in the brain, but hers is perfectly normal." Lin Tian said in puzzlement.
Rossi hesitated for a moment, "Brother Tian, it's not questioning your diagnostic ability, but maybe something was overlooked. Some lost forbidden Secret Techniques of the Blood Clan existed during the Blood Residence era, but since its disappearance, many have gradually been lost. Some of these Secret Techniques can alter one's memory without them knowing; perhaps there's an elder or prince in the Blood Clan who knows this secret technique."
Lin Tian frowned slightly and looked at Zhang Lingyu, "Does Huaxia Taoist Skill have similar secret techniques?"
Zhang Lingyu nodded affirmatively, "Of course, memory is a delicate thing, related not only to the physical body but the soul. Some secret techniques can make even the person with amnesia unaware."
"How can it be undone?" Lin Tian asked.
Zhang Lingyu was about to speak when Charlotte and Ai Wei came out from the bedroom, the lord finally dressed.
The clothes, possibly prepared for Zhang Lingyu, were very different from Charlotte's usual dark style. She wore a light pink dress, less domineering, but more youthful and tender.
The once cold and domineering Blood Clan Lord appeared so youthful and girlish in ordinary clothes, though the dress size might be a little small, her well-defined curves made it even more prominent.
The lord's abrupt change in style made Lin Tian look a few more times, even Zhang Lingyu and Rossi were momentarily dazed; who would recognize this youthful beauty as the decisive, cold, and domineering Blood Clan Lord?
The only constant was her eyes; Charlotte's look at Lin Tian still carried discontent, yet smart as she was, she evidently realized that now was not the time to go against Lin Tian.
"Ai Wei, go. I am no longer your lord, you are completely free." Charlotte glanced at Ai Wei, expressionless, then turned to Lin Tian, "I assume you won't trouble a minor member of the Blood Clan."
"Except for you, every member of the Blood Clan on this island is free to go." Lin Tian said, though angered by Charlotte, he had no intention of slaughtering the island.
Ai Wei knelt down resolutely, "Lord, I will not leave; I am willing to follow you forever."
Lin Tian was surprised by Ai Wei's statement. Despite having a chance at freedom, she chose not to take it, unusual for a Blood Clan which is hierarchically strict.
Lin Tian looked again at Charlotte, this seemingly cold and ruthless lord seemed to have another side as well.
Seeing Lin Tian's gaze, Charlotte began, "Don't be surprised, I saved her; naturally, she follows me loyally. Don't think only humans know gratitude."
"I'm intrigued to hear how you saved her." Lin Tian chuckled lightly.
Charlotte straightforwardly explained, "I saved Ai Wei when she was just a few months old."
The first sentence stunned Lin Tian; Charlotte saved a baby, yet Ai Wei was now a vampire. Vampires do not age, so Ai Wei must have grown up to become a vampire, possibly raised by Charlotte.
Having a vampire lord raise a human child was nearly unbelievable, even Zhang Lingyu was amazed.
Charlotte continued, "Ai Wei was born in a remote village, a place where many had moved away, leaving less than a dozen families. It was a peaceful small village until one day, disaster struck."
