Zombie Bodyguard

Chapter 1360: Rare Medicinal Herbs

"Brother Tian, it's late tonight, rest early." Rossi bowed to Lin Tian and then turned to leave as well.

In the ancient castle's hall, only Lin Tian and Ai Wei were left. As Lin Tian came back to his senses, he noticed Ai Wei was still standing there without leaving. He curiously asked, "Ai Wei, aren't you going to rest?"

"Master Lin Tian asked me to serve, so I thought I'd start tonight." Ai Wei said earnestly.

Lin Tian glanced at Ai Wei's figure, her suit dress outlining her curvaceous body, clean and neat yet exuding a hint of sensuality, giving off a bit of a uniform temptation.

However, Lin Tian still refused, "I was just joking, go back."

"Okay, Master Lin Tian." Ai Wei did not insist and obediently left.

Shaking his head, Lin Tian smiled helplessly and went upstairs as well.

At night, the entire castle was quiet. Finally, he had a peaceful sleep without any women jumping through the windows for a night visit. The next morning, Lin Tian opened the door, walked out of the castle bedroom, just as a beautiful woman came out from the adjacent room.

Lin Tian turned to look and saw it was Zhang Lingyu who had just gotten up; the little girl's face looked more rosy after a night's rest. Zhang Lingyu turned her head, her eyes meeting Lin Tian's, causing her fair face to blush a little.

Remembering lying in bed last night with just a wall between them, Zhang Lingyu felt her face heat up for no reason. She couldn't help but think of the scene when Lin Tian removed the Reunion Powder for her, making her face even more flushed.

"Lingyu, your face is so red, are you having a fever?" Lin Tian saw the blush on her face and couldn't help but worry.

Seeing the concern in Lin Tian's eyes, Zhang Lingyu felt a bit happy, but she couldn't reveal the real reason for her blush, so she just shook her head, making the atmosphere a bit subtle.

Thunk, thunk, thunk... a series of footsteps relieved Zhang Lingyu's awkwardness; it was Ai Wei approaching. Ai Wei bowed to Lin Tian and Zhang Lingyu, saying, "Master Lin Tian, the helicopter is ready."

"Good, let's go right away." Lin Tian nodded and was the first to leave the castle.

Outside the castle, Charlotte and Rossi had already been waiting there. On the open ground, a helicopter was parked. Ai Wei and Zhang Lingyu also arrived and boarded the helicopter together.

With the rotor's stirring, dust and leaves were swept up from the ground, and the helicopter took off, leaving the castle behind. Standing by the porthole, Charlotte watched the castle gradually recede with a very complex expression because, in just one night, so many things had happened in that old castle.

To be precise, too many past events—family, ancestry, bloodline secrets, the hunt, the Thirteen Blood Hosts—all intertwined to create memories one dared not revisit, all frozen in a forest fire.

Lin Tian didn't disturb her, nor was he worried about this Lady Lord; she was not an ordinary woman. Lin Tian knew she wouldn't succumb to despair; after her grief, the Lady Lord would rise again and continue moving forward.

The helicopter returned along the original route, flying over wilderness, towns, leaving land, entering the sea, until the island appeared in view, and the helicopter landed smoothly.

"Ai Wei, take the master to the laboratory. I'll go get something first." Charlotte instructed, gesturing to Lin Tian, then drove off.

Ai Wei, however, brought Lin Tian, Zhang Lingyu, and Rossi, and boarded another vehicle. This time, Ai Wei didn't drive to the villa but headed east.

Lin Tian, having seen the island's appearance from above, had some impressions; the island was east-high and west-low, with a mountain on the east side. But from the helicopter, he hadn't noticed any buildings on the mountain, so what was Ai Wei doing up there?

Ai Wei didn't notice Lin Tian's confusion, driving straight ahead, soon arriving at the foot of the mountain. In front was a large gate embedded in the mountainside.

Moreover, above the gate was a protruding large rock, making it impossible to notice the gate from above.

Seeing the alloy gate embedded in the mountain, Lin Tian finally understood that the laboratory Charlotte spoke of was within the mountains. It's very likely this mountain had been hollowed out by Charlotte, turning into a mountain laboratory.

Ai Wei led Lin Tian and the others to the alloy gate, which slowly opened. Behind the gate was a long tunnel, brightly lit, with a woman walking out from within.

The woman was a typical Western beauty, fair skin, blue eyes, tall, looking about the same age as Ai Wei, though her actual age was unknown.

She looked curiously at Lin Tian and Rossi and then said to Ai Wei, "Lady Ai Wei, they are..."

"This is Master Lin Tian, and this is Rossi, Master Lin Tian's assistant." Ai Wei introduced without explaining Rossi's identity.

Hearing Ai Wei address Lin Tian as 'Master,' the woman was momentarily stunned, evidently not comprehending. There were never any men on the island, and now one appeared, addressed as 'Master' by Ai Wei; how could she not be surprised?

However, the woman didn't ask further questions, just nodded and then turned to lead Ai Wei and the others into the tunnel. Indeed, Lin Tian guessed correctly; the interior of the mountain had been hollowed out, constructed similar to the Xiao Family laboratory.

Lin Tian even saw a similar glass conservatory, with various rare herbs inside. Astonishingly, he even saw herbs recorded in the 'Shennong Emperor's Medical Scripture.'

It's important to know that the 'Shennong Emperor's Medical Scripture' was written very early, with many herbs on it extinct by today's standards, thousands of years later. Moreover, it's a book about pharmacists, noting down herbs that are mostly unconventional. Yet, in Charlotte's laboratory, they were being cultivated, several kinds of them.

As expected from the Lady Lord, the variety of herbs surpassed the Xiao Family's, perhaps the result of Charlotte's collections spanning centuries. Being immortal, whatever she wished to do, collect, even the rarest tasks and items would eventually be achieved, obtained.

Lin Tian stood outside a glass house, looking at the plants inside, not moving forward. As he didn't walk forward, the others naturally stopped as well.

The leading woman had a hint of doubt in her eyes, wondering why Master Lin Tian was standing there. Could it be he recognized the herbs in the glass house? These were all rare herbs.

"I never expected there to be Green Flame Flowers here." Lin Tian exclaimed.

The Green Flame Flower is recorded in the 'Shennong Emperor's Medical Scripture,' used to refine a mid-level elixir, which was beyond Lin Tian's current pharmacist level.

However, this didn't prevent Lin Tian from recognizing it. The Green Flame Flower is a unique blossom; when in bloom, its petals are light red, but the pistil is green, with a peculiar shape resembling a cluster of burning green flames at first glance.

In fact, the Green Flame Flower grows in scorching environments, like near volcanoes. It's said to absorb the essence of flames, possessing mystical properties.

"Someone actually recognizes the Green Flame Flower." A voice suddenly rang out, curiously speaking in Mandarin.
