Zombie Bodyguard

Chapter 1375: Battle for Vengeance (Part 1)

Out of the city, the speed of the black Ferrari suddenly increased, like a black lightning streaking down the road. Rossi recognized the destination, while Lin Tian simply closed his eyes to rest, unconcerned with everything around him.

The car headed towards Wudu but did not enter the city. It stopped in front of a forest, and through the gaps between the trees, an ancient castle could be vaguely seen.

This is Land's ancient castle. Coming here, Lin Tian had one last thing to do. He jumped out of the car and said without turning his head, "Rossi, wait in the car, I'll be back soon."

Walking along the forest path to the hillside, he appeared to be strolling leisurely, yet moved like a flash of lightning. Even the Blood Clan's sentries failed to notice Lin Tian's passage.

Familiar paths, a dim castle, Lin Tian had long activated his supreme vision. As expected, the Alchemist elder was hiding in the underground lab conducting his research.

Previously, Lin Tian thought that although Langde wasn't a good person, it didn't arouse his murderous intent. But after hearing Ai Wei's story, he learned that the elder had used ordinary villagers for alchemical experiments, leading to the tragic death of the entire village.

Especially Ai Wei's father, his plight deeply shook him. Lin Tian felt he should do something.

When Lin Tian stepped into the underground lab, Langde was still engrossed in his experiment. Not until the sound of footsteps disturbed him did he stand and turn around, his face filled with anger.

But when he saw it was Lin Tian, his expression froze. Then, narrowing his eyes at Lin Tian, he said menacingly, "Betrayed me, aligned with Asina, and thought I wouldn't dare kill you with her backing? Yet you still dare to return."

"Killing you might only earn me a few rebukes from the Prince. What can Asina do to me? After all, you are just a vagrant Blood Clan, low in status, just a worthless life. If you die, the Prince might regret it for a moment, but soon no one will remember you, including your backer, Asina."

From Lin Tian's appearance, Langde started speaking a whole lot of words, indicating how furious he was at Lin Tian's "betrayal." He already hated Lin Tian to the bone.

He didn't regret losing a talent but felt that he had lost face, and Asina had brutally humiliated him. He particularly couldn't swallow this insult.

Seeing Lin Tian's silence, Langde thought Lin Tian was scared. He sneered, walked towards Lin Tian, and, upon approaching, reached out as if to grab Lin Tian's neck.

But as soon as he raised his hand, he felt his neck tighten. He had somehow fallen into Lin Tian's grasp first. Langde was again dumbfounded, wondering what happened; he hadn't even seen the movement.

"Lin Tian, you... you..." Langde tried to struggle, but despite using all his strength, he couldn't break free from Lin Tian's grip.

With Houqing's help, Lin Tian hadn't advanced in rank, but his strength increased to a terrifying level, and Langde's power was no match for even Asina, let alone Lin Tian.

Lin Tian said expressionlessly, "You want to kill me? What a coincidence, I also want to kill you. But unfortunately, I can't do it myself."

"You... want to kill me?" Langde said in a low voice. His eyes flashed as he tried to transform into a bat to escape Lin Tian's control.

Yet as if foreseeing his move, Lin Tian's palm suddenly emitted a wave of purple flames. The fire scorched Langde, causing him to cry out in pain, but as soon as the sound emerged from his throat, Lin Tian forcefully choked it back.

Without further delay, Lin Tian lifted Langde and swiftly exited the underground lab, not alerting any guards. He smoothly departed from the castle, left the forest, and returned to the car.

Although the Purple Fire had already extinguished, Langde was burned into a shrunken heap. Seeing Langde, Rossi was initially stunned, then his face filled with anger.

"Rossi, drive, Ai Wei is still waiting," Lin Tian said calmly.

Rossi understood Lin Tian's intent, that this revenge was for Ai Wei to personally exact. He floored the accelerator, making the Ferrari speed like a plane, returning along the original route.

After traveling for a while, Langde seemed to recover and said in a deep voice, "You're not killing me. Where are you taking me?"

Having tasted Lin Tian's Purple Flame's power, he now knew not to provoke Lin Tian unnecessarily, so he didn't resist futilely.

"To meet someone," Lin Tian responded simply.

Judging by Lin Tian's expression, Langde knew Lin Tian wouldn't elaborate, so he switched to asking, "Who exactly are you? You surely aren't a wandering Blood Clan."

"Of course not. I'm a Pharmacist from Huaxia. Given your age, you should have heard of the profession of Pharmacists," Lin Tian said indifferently, not bothering to introduce himself to Langde, as he wasn't worthy.

The muscles on Langde's face twitched, angered by Lin Tian's casual demeanor, clearly not taking him, the elder, seriously. Once, he had similarly looked down on Lin Tian, but now the tables had turned.

"I know about Pharmacists, but I've never heard of a Pharmacist using witchcraft." Langde tried to probe indirectly since straightforward questioning failed.

"Witchcraft?" Lin Tian was taken aback, realizing the elder mistook the power of fire for witchcraft. But he didn't bother to explain, going along with the misunderstanding, "I'm a Pharmacist and also a Wizard. Knowing witchcraft is normal."

"No wonder you can conceal your aura. So you're a Wizard. What's your purpose in coming to England?" Langde's eyes shifted, asking again.

This minor scheme was naturally seen by Lin Tian. He closed his eyes, leaned back, and rested again, ignoring Langde. Langde's eyes flickered, seemingly contemplating escaping.

"You better behave. Brother Tian won't give escapees a second chance. To die at Brother Tian's hands, you'll suffer a hundredfold," Rossi, driving, suddenly warned.

"Rossi, you are wrong; it's a ten-thousandfold pain," Lin Tian replied with a faint smile without opening his eyes. But to Langde, this smile seemed devilish.

Perhaps Rossi was driving faster; the return time was significantly shorter. Yet even so, by the time they reached Newcastle, night had already fallen.

The Ferrari didn't enter the city but headed to the outskirts. Before arriving in Newcastle, Rossi had already contacted and confirmed Zhang Lingyu and her group's location.

The car parked by the roadside. Lin Tian lifted Langde, and together with Rossi, headed towards the wilderness, finally arriving at the foot of a hill. This was a forest, a considerable distance from Newcastle City, surrounded by desolation.

At the top of the hill, Lin Tian saw them. A few women had waited too long, growing utterly bored. Imagine waiting from day to night; it's quite a wait, especially considering Zhang Lingyu, this foodie, might not have had anything to eat.

"Lin Tian, you made us wait most of the day, only to bring back a Blood Clan? Can he be eaten?" Zhang Lingyu said something that left Lin Tian utterly speechless, revealing he didn't understand the world of foodies. How did he not notice it before?

However, she had just spoken when she realized the atmosphere wasn't right. The faces of the Blood Clan members were all displeased, especially Ai Wei and Charlotte, whose eyes seemed cold enough to drip ice.
