Crime Prison Island

Chapter 487: Navy Four Maniacs

Eden Garden, ten tufts of golden clouds spiraled above Giant Wood City.

These were cloud flames imbued with powerful golden biological energy, an environmental combat body generally utilized only by Quasi-Dragon Kings.

Yet here, aside from Adam, Bear King, Bodhluo, Soron, Lilith, and Cain, there surprisingly stood four unfamiliar Quasi-Dragon Kings.

Each of them nine meters tall and weighing a hundred tons, uniformly dressed in black and white uniforms, with red scarves fluttering around their necks.

Their mouths and lower jaws were constructed of golden alloy cyber bodies.

This made the lower half of their faces appear somewhat skeletal.

"Why didn't you wait for us before taking action?" one of the silver-haired elders questioned Adam.

Adam submissively replied, "Reporting to the General, it was the Angel Envoy. The Angel Envoy incited Benitez..."

He recounted the situation in full detail.

The silver-haired elder said coldly, "So you're saying you sold out the Eagle King and the Lion King?"

Adam raised his eyes and said, "Our combat power was somewhat lacking at the time, it was impossible to kill Tai Sui outright without letting him break through."

"And once Tai Sui was forced into a dragon transformation and turned into a Demon Tree, it would be exactly what the Angel Envoy intended."

"This is all a conspiracy by the Angel Envoy; they want Crime Prison Island to destroy itself."

The silver-haired elder laughed coldly, "You're quite concerned!"

"Tai Sui breaking through is like the sky falling? It's all over? What does it matter to you, all this talk of the Angel Envoy's conspiracy..."

"What? Tai Sui is the Great Demon King, and the Angel Envoy plans to release him to wreak havoc on the world?"

"Why do you care about these things? Just execute the order, eliminate Tai Sui, and that's the end of it."

"At the critical moment, you dared to retreat, causing the deaths of the Lion King and the Eagle King, that's an indisputable fact! The Chief is very angry!"

Adam remained silent.

Lilith said charmingly, "General, don't be angry, it's all because Tai Sui is so freakish..."

"Even Apostle Dragon Qilin tried to kill him and failed, we can't be blamed, right?"

The silver-haired elder's eyes turned sharp, and his figure blurred.

In an instant, he crashed into Lilith, his knee already striking her beautiful face.

He hit the only beautiful woman on the scene, causing blood to burst from all seven orifices, and her brains to splatter out.

"Don't try your charm techniques in front of me, when you speak, you must report!"

Lilith was sent flying, her blood sprinkling through the sky.

Adam hurriedly caught her, repairing her.

Lilith and Cain had been severely injured in the battle with Tai Sui, reduced to just a lump of active cells.

Adam painstakingly saved them, treating and repairing them, and they hadn't yet recovered to their peak condition.

And that silver-haired elder was the strongest among the retired navy generals this time.

Although his strength was unclear, with one blow he severely injured Lilith, possibly possessing T1 Combat Power.

"Report! General Kelder, I'm telling the truth..."

"If Adam hadn't saved Cain and me, perhaps when you arrived, you would have found Eden Garden already gone..."

Lilith's face was shattered, her nose bones slipping out from her mouth as she spoke.

Kelder silently contemplated while the other three retired generals burst into laughter.

"Gone is gone, can't you handle a simple task, all while thinking about resisting the Divine, what's the use of you?"

"The group lacks everything but people."

"Indeed, without Eden Garden, there's still Eden Bait... Three Garden..."

"Things got messed up, survived, and you still have the face to take credit? Not getting wiped out is your glory?"

The three retired generals held the island's organization in contempt, especially disdaining Eden Garden, which had defected to them.

They were Navy while Adam was a bandit.

Even though they had retired and Adam had defected to the group, it couldn't change the difference between officials and bandits.

Adam took a deep breath: "Emperor Ran is not a god, and neither is the Angel Envoy."

The three retired generals were about to rebuke him.

But General Kelder waved his hand and said, "Enough, Adam has always been this way, no need to digress."

"Adam, do you know why you are not heavily employed? Your ideology is too radical."

"We are not a theocratic society, you can say what you want, but doing it is not permitted."

"Enough said, let's talk about Tai Sui now."

Adam frowned and said, "Why must robots be regarded as Divine? The councilors could claim divine status themselves!"

"Even if the twenty giant enterprises were considered as twenty Divine Systems, it could work."

"Didn't the senior leaders accept my proposal to prefix all councilors with the title 'Emperor'?"

"Why didn't they continue with this?"

Kelder's eyes turned sharp, "I've said I don't want to talk about this nonsense anymore, you're not qualified to criticize the higher-ups."

"Let's end it here, I need more information on Tai Sui now."

Adam took a deep breath and said no more.

In reality, even without Kelder's answer, he knew the reason.

His ideology essentially undermines the 'divine right of kings' of the twenty giant enterprises.

They represent human civilization, having made an Emperor's Contract with Emperor Ran, akin to a sacred covenant between humans and God.

It can be said that today's giant enterprise powers all stem from the agreement between Emperor Ran and the Supreme Council.

In essence, the Supreme Council is a council and giant enterprises are enterprises; theoretically, councilors could be anyone.

Yet giant enterprises secured council seats through violence and money. To downplay this, naturally, Emperor Ran is revered as Divine, as it's historically the most tangible 'divine right of kings.'

That is a real Divine, an incredibly powerful God.

The leaders of the twenty giant enterprises are promised secular rule, performing the will of God.

As long as people continue to believe this system, their rule is deeply entrenched.

What Adam hopes for is separating human civilization from Emperor Ran, urging that he not be revered as a Heavenly God. Otherwise, a few generations later, humanity will have no hope.
