Water Mage in the Flame Realm

Chapter 107: Water and Fire United

Soul Flame Butterfly.

Simply put, it's the Soul Magic version of "Flame Butterfly".

Originally, Barbara used "Flame Butterfly", casually blew, and turned Sheriff Raymond's corpse into ashes.

The power of Soul Flame Butterfly is even stronger than that!

But it has a major drawback, which is its extremely poor accuracy.

How poor, you ask?

To put it mildly, it's at a level of "almost impossible to hit".

It's quite strange.

Its destructive power and accuracy are completely inversely proportional.

The higher the tier the Warm Fire Mage is, the more explosive the destructive power of "Soul Flame Butterfly" they can unleash, yet the lower the accuracy. This directly leads to "Soul Flame Butterfly" in the many Pupil Magic of the "Heart Fire Series", although it possesses absolute world-class destructive power, it is in fact a rather useless magic.

Fortunately, five days ago, Andrew handed the "Tear Mark" to Barbara.

Andrew himself didn't even know that his "Tear Mark" used to mark Rose actually perfectly solved the accuracy problem of "Soul Flame Butterfly".

Moreover, he was unaware of the impact this had on Barbara's mind!

You should know that "Soul Flame Butterfly" is such a magic that, even if the opponent stands still, or is bound by control-type magic, there's a great chance it would miss.

The problem isn't with the opponent moving or not, but with "Flame Butterfly" itself not hitting.

It would mysteriously drift away on its own.

Barbara originally just thought she could try "Soul Flame Butterfly" with the coordinates mark provided by Andrew, and if she could increase the accuracy by thirty percent, she would be very satisfied, it would definitely be enough. After all, in her original plan, she wouldn't be the only one taking action against Rose, Andrew and Ivan would also help her.

Once actually tried, it was discovered that the accuracy problem was... directly solved.

The mark inside Rose seemed like an "anchor", allowing "Soul Flame Butterfly", this chaotic little boat, to find a landing point.

In this Flame Realm, there is a saying that the Soul Flame Butterfly is actually an incomplete magic. The truly complete version is one that balances damage and accuracy. If the accuracy issue can be resolved, this magic will indisputably become the king of the "Heart Fire Series Magic"!

But for so many years, no one had truly resolved this magic's accuracy problem.

Andrew solved it.

At this moment, Barbara defended with her left eye and countered with her right eye.

In the instant her gaze locked onto Rose, a butterfly-shaped flame formed from a convergence of Soul Power silently and silently took shape within Rose's body, mind, and depths of soul.

Then... it suddenly exploded!

"Ugh..."

Barbara couldn't help but cover her right eye.

Blood flowed through her fingers.

She swayed slightly, half-kneeling.

"Soul Flame Butterfly" is powerful, but demanding.

Strictly speaking, this magic isn't something that can be easily performed by Tier Three and below.

It needs a more high-tier Magic Power to support it.

"Miss Barbara!"

In Wildfire Town, An Ya, Alpha, Purple, Little White, the townspeople, and the desert dwellers all watched as Rose spoke nonsense, and Barbara half-kneeling in place, thinking Barbara was gravely injured by Rose. Everyone's eyes turned red involuntarily.

Little Ha roared restlessly, trying to rush over to help Barbara, but it was blocked by the "Magic Barrier" Barbara had activated when she walked out of the Magic Laboratory, covering the town and Water Tower Tree 'Shire'. It couldn't break through the barrier to reach Barbara.

The magic duel on the soul level is even more elusive than Andrew's Invisible Water Magic.

Not to mention everyone in Wildfire Town, even Fleur, who was standing beside Rose, had no idea what transpired between Rose and Barbara in those fleeting moments.

"Hmm?"

Fleur beside Rose suddenly froze, seemingly sensing something.

She had been standing leisurely beside Rose, paying little attention to Barbara, instead scanning around for Andrew's location.

Five days ago, after Andrew sent that distant "greeting" to Rose, Fleur had actually placed Andrew as her target.

As for Barbara, Fleur was quite confident in her partner's ability to handle her steadily.

However, at this moment, Fleur suddenly noticed a disturbance in the ranks of the Desolate Beasts.

All the Desolate Beasts were under Rose's control.

Fleur couldn't see the soul clash between Rose and Barbara, but she could infer Rose's condition indirectly through the stability of the Desolate Beasts.

"Having some trouble?" Fleur asked Rose lightheartedly.

Until that moment, she still didn't think there would be any trouble with Rose.

Then she saw—

Originally, the verbose Rose used words and Desolate Language Magic to attack Barbara's soul, yet suddenly fell silent.

Rose opened his mouth as if experiencing something unbelievable.

Then, with a thud, he collapsed headfirst onto the ground.

Fleur: "?"

When she gets serious, she removes the heavy makeup she usually wears.

At this moment, Fleur's completely bare face was filled with bewilderment.

She wanted to say, "Stop joking! Nauseating others beyond the limit, and now you've nauseated yourself. It's fine if you want to disgust yourself, but can you not include me in it?"

She thought Rose was up to some nauseating stuff again.

However, a few seconds later, Fleur finally realized something was wrong.

Rose showed no signs of life!

Meanwhile, the surrounding Desolate Beasts were becoming increasingly agitated and were clearly on the brink of losing control!

It was as if the invisible reins in Rose's hand connecting him to the Desolate Beasts suddenly broke, scattered, and slipped from his grip!

"What's going on? Exactly what happened?"

Fleur turned sharply to Barbara, "Did she do something to Rose?"

Of course Barbara did something to Rose.

She launched a counterattack against Rose.

But... that blow wasn't solely Barbara's strength.

Barbara was at a tier disadvantage to Rose, with Tier Three ultimately unable to compare to Tier Four.

One of Barbara's advantages was having an additional "Orange Flame Warm Fire."

Advantage two was the combination of "Soul Flame Butterfly" and "Tear Mark," launching a surprise attack that was so abrupt and unexpected that Rose couldn't anticipate it, with tremendous destructive power.

And, advantage three—

This advantage was something Barbara herself, including Andrew, was unaware of.

Which was: at the moment of launching "Soul Flame Butterfly," the "Flame Butterfly," and the "Tear Mark" Andrew and marked in Rose's body amazingly blended!

Clearly one was Fire Magic and the other Water Magic, yet there was no relationship of counter and being countered between them, instead, there was a sense of water and fire uniting.

Although the change was momentary and neither Andrew nor Barbara clearly noticed it.

But the fact was: the instant the two magic fused, not only completely resolved the accuracy problem of "Soul Flame Butterfly," it also suddenly elevated its already unparalleled destructive power to another level!

From Rose's perspective, he only felt a surge of power inside him that didn't belong to him at all, and out of fright, he instinctively mobilized his own power to fight against it.

The result of the collision was that he was nearly crushed beyond comprehension!

"What... the hell is this?!"

Rose only managed to produce such a thought before his body trembled and he toppled.

The prominent figure that the Magic Guild sent during the double-fire battle to continue the "capture Barbara" mission among the upcoming generation, who had almost been doing as he pleased for the past five days, just... ceased.

Not a trace of life remained on him.
