Water Mage in the Flame Realm

Chapter 112: Andrew's Illusion Realm

"I believe you... Like hell I do!!"

Fleur laughed, a laugh born of anger, "Lord Mountain Sea was killed by our own people in the Magic Guild and turned into a Desolate Beast?! Even if you're going to lie to stir trouble between me and the Magic Guild, at least make it plausible! What nonsense is this?!"

She completely dismissed Andrew's words as absurd.

Even the slight sense of "mystery" she had once felt for Andrew had wholly dissipated by now.

"Uh, this..." Andrew sighed.

He thought to himself, was I really too hasty?

In the end... is seeing believing?

"Anyone can spout nonsense. If you're capable, show me the truth!"

Fleur sneered coldly and then made her move again.

With a swift motion, she hurled the odd-shaped giant axe from her hand.

The enormous axe skated almost flatly above the ground, spinning at high speed. Was this still an axe? It was more like an oversized boomerang!

Facing this attack, Andrew stuck to his previous strategy: he conjured the "Water Demon Puppet" head-on to withstand the immense impact of the spinning flying axe, while he took the opportunity to use the "Water-Traveling Boots" to bypass the axe and launch a direct assault on Fleur herself.

Swoosh!

Andrew appeared behind Fleur once more.

Raising his hand, yet another invisible "Zero-Distance Water Cannon" seemed about to be unleashed.

Fleur shouted in anger, as if insulted: "Using the exact same tactic again? Who are you looking down on?!"

After the Dragon Transformation, the Flame Warrior no longer had significant speed weaknesses.

Moreover, this time Fleur was prepared—

With lightning-fast reflexes, she grabbed and precisely caught Andrew's wrist!

Then she exerted a sudden force, unleashing power even stronger than usual after the Dragon Transformation.

Crack!

She broke the wrist of Andrew's hand that was trying to launch the "Zero-Distance Water Cannon"!

Almost at the same instant, the axe that Fleur had previously thrown also flew back. Instead of being caught by the Water Demon Puppet's grasp, it turned back at the last moment before contact with the puppet and fell back into Fleur's hand!

Fleur held the axe in one hand, clutching Andrew's wrist in the other, and turned around with a fierce smile: "Let me give you a lesson, never use the same move against the same opponent twice, or this will be your end— eh?!"

She suddenly froze.

The axe that was raised high, intended to cleave down on the "Andrew" in front of her, abruptly froze in mid-air and couldn't fall any further.

Fleur's eyes widened in disbelief as she looked at the person whose wrist she had caught.

The person before her wasn't Andrew at all.

It was... Mountain Sea!!

"You... you..." Fleur stared blankly at the other.

Though she was a descendant of Fleur and had the blood of the first Dragon Flame Warrior flowing through her veins, the time gap was vast.

Even Fleur had never seen the true visage of Mountain Sea, only glimpsed him in some transmitted ancient scriptures, portraits, and vague magic images.

And this Mountain Sea before her?

He was the complete spitting image of the real Mountain Sea!

This was because not long ago, Andrew had personally seen Mountain Sea in that dark red little world!

It could be said that in this Flame Realm now, no one besides Andrew could recreate the appearance, stature, and aura of Mountain Sea more vividly, accurately, or true to life.

"This... this truly is Lord Mountain Sea..."

Fleur did not want to believe, yet she had to: before her was indeed her ancestor, the first Dragon Flame Warrior, Mountain Sea!

So was this... some kind of Illusion Technique?

Fleur released the wrist she was holding in astonishment.

She knew clearly that this must be some kind of Illusion Technique that was being presented.

She must be in some Illusion Realm now.

And this Mountain Sea before her was an illusion showcased by Andrew through the Illusion Realm.

"The question is..." Fleur murmured, "…even if it's an Illusion Technique, how can it present such a real appearance and likeness of Lord Mountain Sea? Could it be that Andrew had actually seen Lord Mountain Sea?"

More importantly—

"Exactly when did I start getting pulled into this Illusion Realm?!!!" Fleur was shocked speechless.

Understand this: the two main weaknesses of an ordinary Flame Warrior—slow speed and vulnerability to soul-based methods—would both be greatly compensated for and would cease to be weaknesses after Dragon Transformation.

Fleur was confident that even someone specialized in the "Heart Fire Series" like Barbara, or her partner focusing on the "Desolate Language Series" like Rose, couldn't have possibly pulled her into such an Illusion Realm so quietly, making her completely unaware.

What shocked Fleur the most was not the Mountain Sea before her, but the surroundings beyond Mountain Sea: the desert, Wildfire Town, the Desolate Beast horde… everything appeared normal.

In other words, if Andrew hadn't actively shown her the illusion of Mountain Sea, she wouldn't have even realized she was in an Illusion Realm!

This was what truly awed Fleur!

"What... what kind of magic is this? Answer me!" Fleur gritted her teeth, cleaving through the illusion of Mountain Sea with her axe, then roaring at the surrounding air, "When on earth did you hypnotize me?! How... how did you do this!!?"

No response.

Rose could be seen driving the Desolate Beast horde, already beginning an offensive. The people of Wildfire Town also started mounting a tenacious defense.

But… Andrew was nowhere to be found.

In this world, there was no sign of Andrew!

In the real world, however, Andrew heard Fleur's cries from within the Illusion Realm.

Andrew was standing right beside Fleur.

Lightly tapping on Fleur's motionless, unadorned face, Andrew softly said, "— From the moment I asked you: do you know Mountain Sea? At that moment, you were already in the Illusion Technique."

Activating the Illusion Technique to let Fleur unconsciously fall into the Illusion Realm indeed started with that question: "Do you know Mountain Sea?"

But in truth, even before that, when he launched that "Zero-Distance Water Cannon" at close range, Andrew had already planted the Illusion Technique's mark inside Fleur.

The phrase "Do you know Mountain Sea?" was merely the trigger word to activate the Illusion Technique mark within Fleur.

Fleur used her axe to block the formidable physical assault of the "Zero-Distance Water Cannon," but completely failed to block or even detect the soul technique hidden within Andrew's attack.

At this moment, Fleur stood in place, her body trembling slightly.

This was her attempting to resist and break free from the Illusion Realm.

On her face was a complex expression of gritted teeth, accompanied by anger, astonishment, and disbelief.

In reality, it wasn't just her; Andrew also hadn't expected: "After breaking through to Tier Three, my power, the combat strength I can exert, would increase so drastically—"
