Monster Gacha System: Becoming The Final Boss

Chapter 111 | Extraterrestrial Addition

After activating the status display, a bluish hue reflected from his face. He observed his status with a scrutinizing gaze before opening the summoning banner of the system.

| Summon Banner |

-| Terrestrial (100 TP) |

-| Paranormal (500 TP) |

-| Extraterrestrial (1000 TP) |

<| Terror Point(s) : 6245 |>

Previously, he would have been encouraged to continue spinning for Terrestrial Monsters. After all, he lacked versatility alongside quantity in his arsenal of monsters.

But things have changed since then.

Damien had accumulated over a dozen monsters, each stronger than anything before. It was time to gather the elites of his monster army.

Monsters capable of rivalling the strongest that this world could offer.

"It would take a lot of Terror Points, but it starts with the Extraterrestrial Monsters I'm about to summon," he muttered under his breath.

A Three-Star Extraterrestrial Monster was already capable of handling the Avatar in the northern fringes of the New World. A being that even two Three-Star Terrestrial Monsters could barely handle.

It was a proof of concept that, alongside the ranking of each category, the divisions themselves represent their potential.

Without any hesitation or delay, Damien took a deep breath and spent three thousand Terror Points in the Extraterrestrial Banner.

A wheel materialized before him, familiar and warm. It was the same as when he first summoned his monsters, and now.

Perhaps, the only thing that didn't change since his awakening.

As the gargantuan wheel spun, Damien waited in the dark forest as the rumbling of helicopters got closer. Caution should be paramount, but there was nothing but indifference in his gaze.

After all, they weren't worth a caution for him.

In the distance, spotlights gleamed through the dark forest as helicopters roamed the outskirts of the buried underground installation.

A single directive was given to these aerial vehicles. Destroy anything or anyone that was near the facility. None shall be given a tinge of mercy.

It was a ruthless order, especially for the Federation, which was supposed to govern humanity and lead them to a peaceful future. But as countless philosophers have said before.

Power corrupts.

Especially those who were powerless before, they were the easiest to corrupt, as power to them was as delicious as their first honey.

When the helicopters reached the outskirts, they noticed an individual standing in the shade of the dark forest. Spotlights gleamed towards the individual, and without hesitation, they fired.

Gunfire flickered through the darkness as the thunderous blasts of rockets reverberated across the dark forest.

The flames of destruction consumed the darkness, but the individual was nowhere to be found. There were no signs of their annihilation or survival.

It was as though they had disappeared from existence.

Or so the pilots and soldiers in the helicopters thought. Unfortunately for them, the one they had assaulted with guns blazing was far from gone.

The wheels of summoning have concluded their revolutions, and notifications bombarded the mind of Damien. The chiming of bells echoed as he closed his eyelids for a moment.

| You have received Two-Star EX Monster: Great Devourer |

| You have received One-Star EX Monster: Prothonian |

| You have received Three-Star EX Monster: Starlight |

He had received three Extraterrestrial monsters, each brimming with potential and power. Opening his gaze, he turned his attention towards the helicopters.

It was time to strike back.

On the other hand, the soldiers in the helicopters reported the annihilation of an individual in the middle of the woods. Their communications buzzed before a voice escaped it.

"Provide details of their appearance."

The soldiers glanced at one another before one of them answered. "The appearance of the unknown individual is a young man with white hair."

"Beyond that, we have no information as we immediately destroyed them." After the answer, there was nothing but silence from the other side.

Those within the helicopters were confused by the reaction. After all, they merely followed the directive of the mission. The annihilation of everyone nearby.

"The Federation will honor your lives." Out of nowhere, the voice from the other side spoke. It brought chills down the spines of soldiers.

One took the communicator and questioned, his face anxious for any answers. "What does that mean!? What are you planning to do!?"

Unfortunately, no answers came as the communications buzzed with static. The soldiers gritted their teeth as the pilot of their helicopter roared. "Incoming!"

The soldiers held the handles of the helicopter's interior tightly as a bright light gleamed in front of them. It blinded their eyes, rivalling that of dawn.

It alone was enough as the pilots lost control. Helicopters crashed into the forest, bringing about devastation in the darkness that surrounded them.

From the wreckage, the remnants of the soldiers crawled out, barely alive. Their bodies were injured by the crash as they turned their eyes towards the night sky.

Their gaze widened as they felt a sense of admiration. But what followed was insanity. Infinity flooded their minds as blood dripped from their eyes and eardrums.

Madness... It was too much for them to handle. The knowledge of infinity.

The Starlight was blinding, its brilliance piercing through the darkness that was the unknown. The mysteries of existence that hid in the abyss were unveiled.

It was horrifying to the mortals and the ordinary.

For them... Ignorance was bliss.

As the soldiers cried out with blood, those trapped within the wreckage could hear the dying screams of their comrades. It wasn't out of horror, but the howl of madness.

"W-What happened?" One of the trapped soldiers questioned, his leg stuck in the metallic debris. Another nearby answered. "The blinding light."

"Whatever it is... That light made them insane."

Before the trapped soldiers could continue speaking, something ripped reality open. From the void where nothingness originated, a maw emerged and consumed the entirety of the wreckage.

One after another, the last surviving soldiers were eaten by the Great Devourer. A monster beneath nothing, a being that consumes everything.

Footsteps echoed as Damien walked towards the corpses of the maddened soldiers. He frowned after seeing them writing 'Starlight' on the ground using their blood.

Beside him was a tall humanoid creature; it was alien, yet its eyes emanated intelligence. Eyes, pitch as black, and skin, pale as white; it stood beside its master with pose and grace.

"Out of nowhere, the helicopters crashed. The soldiers also muttered about some blinding light. However, I see the same darkness of the night."

"There is no light," Damien mumbled to himself, prompting the Prothonean to tilt its head and respond. "There is light, Lord Oberon. We are merely shielded from it."

"For those who gaze upon Starlight are granted infinity, and the limitless brings madness to those it touches." It was eloquent, earning the respect of Damien.

"That makes sense. So it is a nuke, huh. Besides me, it might not differentiate allies and foes. Everyone will be affected by its blinding light." He nodded in understanding.

The new three Extraterrestrial Monsters he had received from the summoning banner weren't to be underestimated.

Starlight was an interdimensional entity; the same could be said of the Great Devourer. On the other hand, the Prothonean was the strangest of the three.

It was alien, but it wasn't too strange. The Extraterrestrial Monster was capable of eloquently speaking, signifying its capabilities and intelligence.

Damien shook his head and decided to handle them later. For now, it was time to open his status. After all, he was intrigued to see what the addition of three Extraterrestrial Monsters could bring.

"That should be three new personal skills." A subtle smile curved his lips as the status display materialized before him.

Its bluish hue gleamed while his eyes read the information imprinted on its surface.
