Return of the Mythic Bloodline

Chapter 201: 30-days Daily Challenge

"Now do you care to tell me what you did to that room, young man?" Aryan demanded, standing before me with his arms folded.

The room where I had unknowingly caused the incident was being repaired, while I was given a different private room to stay in.

"I-I was only trying to meditate and feel the power I felt when I wore that glove, but when I opened my eyes, this happened..." I explained, sitting on the bed with my head lowered.

"So you are telling me you can use ice and fire at the same time!?" he asked, his expression carrying a hint of surprise.

"Well, I can, I guess," I replied, scratching my temple.

"That's incredible! I have never heard of an awakener with dual attributes," Aryan exclaimed, but his excitement soon vanished as he murmured, "only if you were at B-Rank..."

"Oh, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean it that way," he immediately apologised, probably thinking that he had said something he shouldn't have.

"What are you getting all serious for? I'm not worried about whether I can reach a higher rank or not. I'm just happy that I can see you all again," I replied, averting my eyes in embarrassment at what I had just said.

And yeah, it was kind of true. Since I had Vivi to guide me, I wasn't worried in the slightest about remaining stagnant in my rank.

Aryan moved closer to me, tapped my shoulder, and said, "I will support you if you want to live a regular human life, and if you want to follow the path of an awakener, I will still support you and make sure you become the strongest CCC-Rank Awakener."

"Thanks, brother," I replied with a smile.

---

After spending a few more minutes with me, he went outside and took care of the mess I had created in the other room.

"I think I have created enough trouble for the day," I murmured, getting under the blanket.

I closed my eyes to sleep, but then—

Ding...

"The Host can now copy all the non-attribute abilities from the other body.

Would you like to copy them?

[Yes] [No]?"

The tiny amount of sleepiness I was feeling instantly vanished due to this baiting notification.

I jumped straight from the bed and smashed the [Yes] button in a flash.

"All the non-attribute skills of the Host are successfully copied!"

Ding...

"Skill: Infinite Thrust is locked due to low stats of the Host.

Skill: Advanced Mace Skill is locked due to low stats of the Host.

Skill: Advanced Sword Skill is locked due to low stats of the Host.

Skill: Sword Aura is locked due to the low amount of Soulforce in the Host's body."

"I was having a suspicion that you were being way too generous, but in the end you showed your true nature," I sighed. "What's the point of getting my skills back if I can't even use them?"

"..."

"Forget it. Show me the home screen."

"Loading the Status Window...

"Pffft... hahahaha... what are these hilarious numbers? Three of my stats are in single digits," I laughed instinctively before realising that the person I was making fun of was also me.

"Thank god only I can see these numbers, or I would have died of embarrassment," I breathed, waving off the screen.

From the window behind the curtains, faint light entered the room, catching my attention.

I pulled aside the curtains and realised it was already morning, and the sun was slowly washing away the night sky.

Ding...

"A 30-day daily challenge quest has been triggered!"

"30-day daily challenge: Although the Host is an Awakener, the Host's body is even weaker than regular humans. Vivi is too embarrassed to be a personal assistant to such a loser, so Vivi automatically triggered this quest to make the Host stronger and wash away some of Vivi's embarrassment.

Challenge Day-1:

1. Do Sun Salutation 50 times [0/50]

2. Do 100 push-ups [0/100]

3. Do 100 sit-ups [0/100]

4. Run 5 kilometres [0/5]

Reward on completing Day-1 challenge: All stats +10

Reward on completing the whole series: Yin-Yang Breathing Technique

Penalty on failure: Termination of the entire series."

"I like that you are trying to make me stronger, but aren't you getting too cocky, bastard!" I muttered, my face fuming with anger. "Fuck you and your quest!"

I gave a middle finger toward the window and went straight to my bed to sleep.

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Aghh! Why can't I sleep!?"

Removing the blanket, I reached the floor and took the push-up position.

"I'm doing this only for that breathing technique," I stated as I began the push-ups.

"1"

"2"

"3"

"10"

"Huff... huff... only ten push-ups and I'm already out of breath?" I murmured, breathing heavily. "No way I'm going to lose the very first challenge."

I took a deep breath, made up my mind, and went through this simple exercise that felt more like torture on this weakened body.

After completing the first three challenges, I took the nurse's permission with the excuse of wanting fresh air and reached the playground-sized garden at the front of the hospital.

"This modern hospital building looks strange now that I've seen so many old-fashioned buildings in Vyoman," I murmured, giving a quick glance at the structure before I began running around the garden.

---

Ding...

"Congratulations! You have completed Day-1 of the 30-day daily challenge.

All stats +10"

"Huff... huff... finally..." I breathed, lying on the green grass of the garden.

As I was having my peaceful moment, a shadow appeared over my face, and I found Vedika standing above my head.

"Oho~ Mr. Raj, you are very hardworking. I was about to recommend you some exercises, but you are already here," she teased, carrying a coffee cup in her hands.

"You do realize that I can see everything from here!" I murmured, turning my face sideways with blushing cheeks as I could clearly see her underwear beneath her thigh-length pencil skirt.
