Three Meals of a Reincarnator

Chapter 339

Chapter 339: Chapter 339

***

As soon as Ho Sung Lee arrived in Brazil through the Warp Gate, he drove in a car and arrived in Rio.

Rio in Brazil had been famous for drug deals for a long time, but once the hunters got involved, it became an especially hot spot.

Since Ho Sung Lee was in disguise even before leaving, he had on a completely different face.

As a result, Ho Sung Lee tried to forget about the discomfort and itchiness and went uphill in his car.

While he drove uphill, Ho Sung Lee parked on a relatively level ground and got out to take a smoke.

He saw kids playing not too far away.

The kids, who seemed to be between 8 and 10 years old, ran over to Ho Sung Lee.

“Mister, we’ve never seen you before. Are you new to Rio?” The dark-skinned children looked up at Ho Sung Lee with big eyes and asked.

Ho Sung Lee smiled at the cute kids and nodded.

“That’s right.”

“Would you like to buy drugs? We have all kinds,” an innocent child asked.

“…”

Ho Sung Lee stared at the child in shock. As for the child, he stared up at Ho Sung Lee with his head tilted.

Rather than being shocked by the fact that such a young child was selling drugs, how confident the child was was what shocked him even more.

Ho Sung Lee patted the child on the head. He disposed of his cigarette and got back into his car.

As soon as he started the car and took off, he heard the children playing again.

Ho Sung Lee looked out the window. He checked his surroundings and organized his thoughts.

There was only one reason why he came to Rio, Brazil in response to Min Sung’s command.

He had to find the corrupt hunters that leaked out in the process of the hunter association team sweeping the criminal drug organizations.

Ho Sung Lee thought about how to approach the hunter association team.

It was a matter that he thought about ever since he departed, and all he could do was make sure he didn’t stand out to the hunters of the association.

There was a chance he would get caught, but that was the simplest alternative.

Ho Sung Lee parked his car. He leaned back to his seat and checked the time.

He had yet to receive word on when the association team would arrive.

While he closed his eyes and fell into thought…

Tap, tap!

The sound of someone knocking on his window made Ho Sung Lee spring up and lower the window.

Two men with mustaches were staring at him.

As soon as Ho Sung Lee opened the door and got out, the two men looked at Ho Sung Lee with their guards up and stepped back.

Ho Sung Lee looked at them with the door open and opened his mouth.

“What’s this about?” Ho Sung Lee asked.

In response, the two men exchanged glances and looked back at Ho Sung Lee.

And the taller man who was also thinner scanned Ho Sung Lee up and down.

“Who are you? Where did you come from?”

Ho Sung Lee looked around.

He didn’t see anybody else around.

“Everybody in this neighborhood have amazing memory. They ask that same question whenever they see someone unfamiliar. Some kids asked me back there.”

Ho Sung Lee smiled bitterly while the two men took out their swords from their item windows.

One of them had a rapier sword while the other one held a wilder sword.

Ho Sung Lee looked at both of them and knitted his brows due to his lack of understanding.

“Why are you pulling those out?” Ho Sung Lee asked.

“Where are you from, and who are you?” The two hunters glared at Ho Sung Lee and asked.

Ho Sung Lee didn’t know what to say because he wasn’t prepared for this situation.

He had no intention to become a member, and there was no need to tell them that he wanted to buy drugs either.

But that also didn’t mean he could tell them the truth by revealing that they were going to be caught soon and that he was here to make sure the hunter association team wouldn’t take all the money.

“I’m just here on vacation.”

All he could come up with in the end was a ‘vacation,’ but he had no choice.

The two hunters scoffed.

“A vacation? You came to Rio for vacation?”

“Why? Aren’t I allowed? The slums are quite famous among tourists.”

“That was a long time ago. I know you’re Korean, but you’re out of your mind.”

They looked as though they were ready to swing their weapons.

Ho Sung Lee’s face stiffened.

“You don’t see my level right now, do you?”

The two hunters looked taken aback.

“Who do you think you’re messing with? I’m not going to do anything, so stop wasting my time. Got it?”

In response, the two hunters talked to each other before looking at Ho Sung Lee with stern eyes and opening their mouths.

“If you show us your hunter ID, we’ll back off,” one hunter said.

Ho Sung Lee went into his pocket. He took out his hunter ID and threw it at them.

Once they checked his hunter ID, they put their weapons back into their item windows and returned his ID.

They continued to glance over at Ho Sung Lee with side-eyes and backed off.

Once they left, Ho Sung Lee got back into his car and started the engine.

He felt like if he stayed there, the two men would bring other hunters out of anxiety.

He thought it was best that he leave the slums and wait at a hotel until the hunter team arrived.

Ho Sung Lee then knitted his brows.

“Why are they taking so long? When are they coming?”

Just as Ho Sung Lee was about to step on the gas pedal, he stepped on the brakes again.

“Can you check if my family is still alive?”

He remembered what X-HIT’s head, Leight, asked him.

“Sigh… Jeez.”

Ho Sung Lee gave it some thought before smoking his cigarette and driving his car.

***

He arrived in front of the house where he met Leight for the first time.

In front of the large door were two hunters on guard.

As soon as Ho Sung Lee parked his car, the hunters on guard approached with weapons in their hands.

Ho Sung Lee lowered his window. He looked at them and opened his mouth.

“I came to see Leight’s family.”

In response, the two hunters on guard looked nervous as they fixed their weapons in their hands.

“Who are you?” One of the guards asked.

“Leight asked me for a favor. He wanted to know if they were still alive…”

“They’re all dead.”

Before Ho Sung Lee could finish, one of the hunters on guard cut him off.

“What?” Ho Sung Lee asked with a taken aback face.

“They died. And the house of X-HIT now belongs to someone else.”

He was X-HIT’s head, so it was hard to believe that his family was killed just because he was captured.

Ho Sung Lee clicked his tongue.

“Are you a Korean?” The hunter on guard asked.

Ho Sung Lee nodded.

“But I don’t see the badge for the Korean Central Institute.”

“So?”

The two hunters on guard gestured with their chins.

“Turn back.”

Ho Sung Lee scoffed and rolled up his window. They couldn’t mess with him because he was Korean.

Min Sung Kang was Korean, and unless the hunters were lacking in some way, they all knew that he was living in Korea.

“Since I kept my promise, I should head back…”

Ho Sung Lee, who was mumbling as he turned his car around, saw that a row of cars drove in and blocked him in, which made him blink his eyes.

“What’s that?”

The hunters in the cars were holding weapons.

Among the hunters, there were also two of the hunters he had run into earlier who had mustaches.

‘Did they follow me?’

While Ho Sung Lee had such thoughts, one of the hunters in the pack threw whatever was in his hands at his car.

“Huh?”

Boommmmmmmmm!

Due to the magic item that the hunter threw, the car that Ho Sung Lee was in exploded.

The car that he was in lit up in flames… while countless hunters watched by.

Along with a large slamming sound, the car’s door ripped off and rolled out onto the ground.

Once the hunters saw that, they gripped onto their weapons.

From within the car that was lit up in flames, Ho Sung Lee got out while on fire.

But as soon as he used his Aura, the flames died down.

Ho Sung Lee rubbed his head with an angry look on his face.

Due to the fire, most of his hair burnt off, so he didn’t have much remaining.

“Wow… What is this?”

Ho Sung Lee rubbed his bald head and laughed out of absurdity.

More than half of his clothes were burnt off as well, and he was in critical condition.

His original duty was to take care of any issues with the repression process.

In the case that he fought average hunters, if they got hurt or died, he would get arrested, so he had to avoid fighting if possible.

But after getting his hair burnt off, he was so enraged that he couldn’t hold back any longer.

“Do you want to die?”

When Ho Sung Lee expressed his rage, they looked at Ho Sung Lee and tilted their heads.

That was because Ho Sung Lee’s face looked odd due to the disguise he was wearing. They didn’t look like burns or wounds on real skin.

And one of the hunters was quick-witted.

“That’s Ho Sung Lee,” one hunter exclaimed.

And those words caused an explosive wave.

The hunters immediately tensed up and got ready to use their skills.

But only half of them did. The other half were simply shaking at the fact that it was Ho Sung Lee.

The rumors that the head of X-HIT got dragged away spread all over the world past Rio.

Ho Sung Lee sighed out of frustration and ripped off his disguise from his face.

“Sigh… Things really aren’t going according to plan.”

Ho Sung Lee was annoyed at his own mistake.

Exposing his identity was a huge mistake.

“You shouldn’t have said my name.”

Ho Sung Lee glared at the hunters with the desire to kill.

If the rumor got out that he was here, things could go south before the hunter team even arrived.

The best way was to kill them right now, but since he was the one who caused this problem, he had to go with another method.

“I didn’t want to go down there anyway. This is great.”

Tying down all of the hunters and reporting to Min Sung Kang as well as the hunter association seemed like the simplest way to go.

Ho Sung Lee cracked his knuckles while staring at the hunters.

“I know it was my mistake, but it was your mistake, too.”

Ho Sung Lee walked toward the hunters with his bald exposed head.
