"And now… Goddess of Harvest versus Goddess of Floods and Droughts!"
The winged angel announced.
The champions of the two goddesses took the stage, and as soon as the Goddess of Harvest's champion took the stage, Kiernan's eyebrow rose.
"That guy… is from Earth?"
Kiernan asked.
"The gods have to choose a champion from their realm, and thus, the gods and goddesses of the Earth realm have to choose champions from Earth."
The Fair One said.
"…They don't really do well, do they?"
Kiernan asked.
"They never win. The Earth realm is the weakest realm. That's why you are such an anomaly. Someone from the weakest realm managed to…"
The Fair One stopped before finishing her sentence and threw a glance at Death, who wasn't standing too far away from him.
If she went and said that Death actually lost to Kiernan, he might lose his mind completely, and she was not looking forward to dealing with that aftermath.
Ding! Ding!
With the ringing of the golden bell, the fight started, and from the very second, the champion from the Earth was losing.
He was a mixed martial artist—a world champion of the MMA—but his opponent was from the Elemental Realm.
Thus, he could breathe fire, summon lightning, bend the water, and control the ground beneath their feet.
While struggling, Earth's champion managed to get some attacks through, but in the end, the champion from the Elemental Realm just summoned some lightning and charred his opponent to ash.
It was simply impossible for humans of the Earth realm to compete with powers that seem godlike to them.
'Even my Earth self wouldn't stand a chance in this tournament. Sure, I could've probably snuck a victory against this elemental guy, but I would've never survived to the end.'
Kiernan thought to himself.
He was certain of that.
However, his Martial Arts World self was much stronger than his Earth self was, and he had powers in his possession that made those elemental powers look like child's play.
The fights kept going through, and soon, they were halfway done with the first round matches.
"…And next, we have God of Ryvers going against the Goddess of Elves!"
"It is our turn!"
The Fair One said with slight nervousness.
Her heart beat hard against her chest, and sharing that nervousness, Kiernan finally stood up, attracting everyone's attention.
"…It's his turn."
"…Let's see how impressive the mortal that bested the Death truly is!"
Death sat with his arms crossed and followed Kiernan like a hawk as he headed towards the stage.
He wasn't worried that Kiernan might lose. He was the witness to his insane skills, after all. And he believed there were less than five mortals that could pose him any real challenge.
"Keep your eye on this match. He'll be your opponent soon enough!"
Death said to his champion.
Prisoner looked over with his mouth full of food, and from Kiernan's stance alone, he could tell that he was a tough nut to crack.
"…Shit."
God of Ryvers spat under his breath after seeing who his opponent's champion was and glanced at his own champion.
His champion was bare-chested with some animal hide loincloth wrapped around his waist.
He was from the Sealed Realm—it was one of the "baby" realms that were only in their infancy when it came to the technology aspect.
They didn't even know about the concept of gods and such, which was why his champion almost had a mental breakdown when he summoned him to his god palace.
Yet, even though Sealed Realm was in its infancy, they were still incredibly strong, as the air, the things they eat, and the very essence of their being granted them immense power.
They fought beings of enormous power daily that if even one of them were to go to Earth, it would mean the end of that world.
That's why Sealed Realm's people have enormous potential to become one of the strongest realms in the future.
"Whoo…"
Kiernan released a long breath as he entered the stage and watched his opponent—Rocko—enter the stage as well.
Rocko seemed very out of place here, and he even seemed scared to be in here—surrounded by gods and goddesses of immense power.
All Rocko had known so far was the small cave he lived in, the light of the sun shining through a small hole in the roof, and the sound of his own heartbeat.
He lived with a small tribe, but he was pretty much an outcast, spending most of his days alone exploring the surrounding area.
His daily routine was fighting mountain-sized kaiju, and that routine made him one of the strongest beings in the Sealed Realm.
"Ready…?"
The winged angel asked.
With a nod, Kiernan took his fighting stance, and Rocko just grabbed his self-made spiked club with a death grip.
"FIGHT!"
"RAGH!"
Rocko screamed and brought the spiked club down at Kiernan, but he quickly dodged, and it smashed against the stage.
The strike shook the entire Feast Hall.
"Iron Smash!"
Kiernan fluidly extended his punch and whacked Rocko across his face, sending him tumbling to the side.
The entire fist smashed into his cheek, pushing against Rocko's chipped teeth, and almost knocked him out right then and there.
"ROCKO!"
Rocko screamed with a bloody mouth, spitting out a tooth, and kept swinging the spiked club at Kiernan.
With Void Step, Kiernan kept easily weaving through the wave of attacks, and then he reeled back his arm.
"Iron Bullet!"
The fist rammed into Rocko's stomach. It juggled his organs for a moment before sending him flying across the room.
Rocko smashed into a wall.
Domination!
Every god and goddess realized that the two of them weren't anywhere close to being on the same level.
Rocko had no concept of martial arts, and even though he had a lot of physical prowess, he was no match for Kiernan.
Kiernan was True God in Martial Arts Pathway.
With his physical strength alone, he could lift an entire mountain, and he wouldn't even feel a sweat.
"Cough… Wheeze… Cough…"
Rocko climbed out of the wall and staggered as if he was barely conscious, and he eventually reached the stage.
He kept swinging the spiked club—each swing was weak and lazy—there was no strength behind it at all.
"…"
Kiernan waved his hand and slapped the spiked club out of Rocko's hands. And he then reached his hand towards him.
He grabbed Rocko's hand and controlled him like a puppet.
"Anatomical Bind…"
He then kicked his leg forward, swept Rocko's feet from under him, and lifted him high above his head.
"Reversal World!"
Kiernan brought Rocko down and slammed him headfirst into the hard ground. It was enough to knock him unconscious.
"The match is over!"
The winged angel shouted.
"Yay!"
The Fair One excitedly clapped her hands together, and the gods and goddesses simultaneously drew a cold breath.
He was much stronger than they anticipated, and they realized that Kiernan was just one step away from Divinity.
Mortals couldn't achieve Divinity unless they stole it from other gods.
"…I saw no weaknesses."
Prisoner said.
He even stopped eating finally for a moment to see Kiernan fight and came to the conclusion that it was flawless.
"You can't beat him?"
Death asked with a frown.
"I didn't say that. But in my long time of existence, I've never met someone with stronger martial arts fundamentals. I think he has reached the peak."
Prisoner said.
"…And?"
Death asked.
"Well, luckily for us, I am not a martial artist."
Prisoner smirked.
With the match done, Kiernan and the Fair One went back to their seats and watched the remaining first-round matches.
Alongside Kiernan's dominant victory, there were also several other people that completely humiliated their opponents.
And lastly, at the last match of the day, Prisoner stood up and approached the ring with Death walking behind him.
Anybody else would be shitting their pants if Death walked behind them, but not Prisoner, he seemed nonchalant.
"Hehe~"
Prisoner entered the stage, and to everyone's surprise, he put himself in a straitjacket, binding his arms tightly in front of him.
He couldn't use his arms at all—only his legs.
"…"
His opponent, Lara, looked coldly at him and wondered what the hell he was doing.
'Underestimating me? How foolish!'
She thought angrily.
"You should reconsider underestimating me. It won't be good for you if you disappoint Death behind you."
Lara said.
"I don't need my arms when facing a puppy. If I had a way, I would even bind my legs to make this fight a little interesting!"
Prisoner said with a laugh.
"…Arrogant moron."
Lara gritted her teeth.
"Ready…?"
The winged angel asked, and both of them nodded.
"FIGHT!"
"AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGH!"
In that moment, Lara screamed loudly in anger. Her face turned red. Her power level suddenly surged.
"…What is this?"
Prisoner asked.
"She is from the Emotion Realm—if they feel anger, they can make themselves stronger. Like with love, they can heal others.
"It does look like this one has some serious anger problems."
Death said with a scoff.
Lara was getting stronger and stronger—the anger ran through her veins like fire—and her eyes turned black, her flesh crimson, and wings sprouted from her back.
Black feather wings.
