Wizard: Start with Biological Transformation to Grind Experience

Chapter 4: News

Lynch gazed at the radiant Messiah before him, sensing a faint yet distinctly different mysterious rhythm from her aura compared to typical domains. He couldn't help but ask, "To what extent has your power progressed now?"

His eyes were filled with inquiry, "I perceive that there seems to be a slight fluctuation in rule-level power from you. Could it be... you've already touched upon the rule level?"

This indeed came as a surprise to him. To reach the rule level from the faith system is incredibly challenging. It requires gathering, absorbing, and integrating an astronomical amount of believers' Power of Faith.

Even more dangerously, within such a massive flow of diverse beliefs, the unavoidable mix of billions of believers' desires, obsessions, fears, and selfishness, these "soul impurities" are enough to shatter any soul with independent will into pieces or even drive them mad.

However, Messiah seemed completely unaffected by this. This is thanks to her initial creation by Lynch with the purest Soul Essence, making her a vessel and channel without "self" will and absolute purity.

No matter how vast and complex the incoming Power of Faith is, for her, they are just "data streams" that need processing. She can operate and purify this power without any contamination of her mind.

As far as Lynch knows, throughout the long history of the entire plane, entities that can resonate with the trait of Power of Faith and eventually ascend over the fourth-tier rules are extremely rare.

Only two are explicitly recorded: one is the Witch Master of the Truth Church, hailed as one of the strongest fifth-rank Wizards in the world, the holder of pure truth, Englis; and the other, their current enemy, is the Father God Erodion of the Freemasonry Church.

If Messiah can successfully take that step, she will become the third rule-level existence in history to walk the path of faith.

Facing Lynch's inquiry, Messiah slowly shook her head, the glow around her as steady as ever.

"There's still some crucial accumulation missing," her voice was expressionless, "The amount of faith needed to ascend to the rule realm cannot be compared to the previous tiers. Currently, the number of believers and the strength of faith in the Jade Land are insufficient to support the final transformation."

Hearing this, Lynch raised an eyebrow and pursued further, "What about the people in the newly occupied territories of the Ancient Ruins? Can they be converted into your believers? I'll have Julia over there spread the Light Doctrine quickly in the conquered areas to expand the faith."

If Messiah can successfully ascend to the rule realm, then in facing the equally unfathomable Erodion, Lynch's winning chances will greatly increase.

He knows well that in the wizard's war, no matter how fierce the battles at the lower levels are, the victory is ultimately determined by the top-level confrontations. If he cannot defeat Erodion in the highest realm, even if his armies occupy the entire Ancient Ruins, it will still be an impractical triumph, and the ultimate victory will remain elusive.

Messiah responded, "The conversion work is already ongoing. However, large-scale faith transfer and deep rooting require time to nurture and consolidate, and cannot be achieved overnight."

She paused, and a subtle wave of warning seemed to flicker in her dawn-like eyes, "Furthermore, the Spiritual Imprints left by Erodion in the souls of those potential believers pose a significant risk."

"Before thoroughly eliminating or suppressing these imprints, large-scale faith extraction might trigger unpredictable conflicts or contamination."

Lynch's brows furrowed tighter, "Is the risk of absorbing these imprinted Power of Faith completely unmanageable and uncontrollable?"

"Given the current level of understanding of the imprint structure, it indeed is." Messiah's reply was unwavering, like stating a physical law, "Forcibly merging them might lead to faith source pollution, divine power chaos, and even trigger unknown countermeasures pre-set within the imprints."

Lynch fell into brief silence, his fingertips rhythmically tapping on the wooden armrest. Soon, he looked up and made a decision, "In that case, let Julia continue to spread the Light Doctrine in the occupied areas for faith conversion."

"But before completely removing the imprint risks, all the Power of Faith from the Ancient Ruins should be separately stored and prohibited from being integrated into your core faith source."

He paused, his tone now carrying a hint of anticipation, "Meanwhile, I've already formally contacted the Gray Tower Witch Realm and the Thousand Sails Witch Realm. If the negotiations go smoothly, we might secure permission to preach openly in these two domains."

Gray Tower and Thousand Sails are two neighboring wizard territories adjacent to the Ancient Ruins. Although their overall area is not as vast as the Jade Land and Ancient Ruins, they have accumulated a population base of tens of millions over the long years of development. If these populations can be converted into Messiah's believers, the faith accumulation needed for her to ascend to the rule level will no longer be a problem.

"Will they accept it?" Messiah queried, her voice still calm and ethereal, showing neither expectation nor simple confirmation.

"It shouldn't be a problem." Lynch's lips curled into a confident arc, "The Power of Faith, for most wizard organizations following the traditional path, holds no practical value; instead, it requires effort to manage."

"For this reason, I've offered the rights to mine a complete Magic Stone Mine as a bargaining chip. This is a deal where they can't lose, and they might even be gaining an advantage. In the face of sufficient profit, they have no reason to refuse."

Just as Lynch and Messiah were discussing faith dissemination and war strategies, a gentle and continuous glow suddenly emanated from beneath Lynch's chest.

Lynch paused slightly in his movements, reached into his inner pocket, and took out the Communication Badge that was emitting a halo.

On the badge's surface, a line of text imprinted directly by spiritual power appeared clearly.

As his gaze swept over the line of text, a ripple of surprise and a deep concern flashed in his usually calm gray eyes.

He quickly composed himself, looking up at the radiant Messiah before him, his tone calm yet imperatively instructive:

"The subsequent progression of the war is temporarily entrusted to you. With your current strength, unless Erodion arrives personally, few can obstruct your will on this land."

He paused briefly, explaining simply, "I have private matters that need immediate attention."

The message wasn't from someone else; it was from Shirley, whom he had previously dispatched to Gray Stone Canyon to investigate Avery's whereabouts.

Indeed,

There's finally news from Avery.
