"Is the slime dragon still outside?" Lucy spoke with her left hand on her chin and elbow on the table, looking at Utal with half shut eyes

"No captain" Utal stood in front of the wooden door ready to leave, she tapped her right finger on the table

"Two S-Rank hunters will arrive shortly but" she stopped tapping her finger "the slime's are attacking all the the cities we will need more" the office heard the faint sound of soldiers storming past it as their boots stomped on the concrete floor

"Captain the is still the water situation in the eastern city" Utal stood in his silver armour with his chest out, she sighed looking at him

She leaned back on the chair and looked up at ceiling 'they already fixed the pipes but some people found mice in their house pipes and with the pipes fixed the water might be contaminated' her eyes widen

She looked back at Utal "tell them to focused on dealing with the slimes for now backup is coming" she jecked out of her chair lunging it back to the cabinet "once were done dealing with the slime's every city should check if their water is.." she looked at the cup filled with tap water

"Wail"

"Wail"

A loud jarring sound rang through out the city, Utal ran out the office while Lucy jumped over the desk in her light armour she stormed out of her office

'What happened now?' she ran past the soldiers in corridor and snatched a blade off a soldier then ran up the spiral stairs

"ALL OF YOU EVACUATE THE CITIZENS CLOSEST THE WALL!!!" Dexter's voice boomed through the speaker as he looked at the concrete and stone buildings "SHOOT AT THE SLIME'S BEFORE THEY ENTER THE GATES" he looked back to the desert as Utal and Lucy rushed out of the stone tower

"What happened?" Utal charged at Dexter

Dexter put the speaker on the wall and turned to Lucy "captain the gate vanished.." Lucy walked to the side of the wall facing the city "and the dragon is no where to be seen"

"Dexter go down there and teleport as many people as you can to the other cities then come back for us" her eyes scanned the distant ground filled with people running away from the wall "you will head down and block out the slime's entering the city" she turned to Utal

Both man ran to the stone tower while Lucy scanned through the soldiers struggling to focus on the desert as people screamed behind them

"Man focus on dealing with slime's outside the wall" she took a soldiers gun and shoot at the slime's in elven forms "the soldiers inside will be overwhelmed if you waver now" her voice rang clearly as she shoot at the slime's

"Help them protect your families by killing as many as you can" the soldiers gritted their teeth, the bullets and spells peppered down at the slime's

She looked up at the dome that was still in tact, the stars had vanished the moon barely visible as the sky brightened in a bluish colour

She walked to side facing the city, the soldiers were organised with Utal there but they were slowly being pushed back the only advantage they had were their numbers that were slowly dwindling

"Tsk" she clicked her tongue she looked at one of the solders loading ammunation into a machine gun "you fetch my blade"

The soldier gave the bullets it was holding to hobgoblin next to it and ran off to the tower as the sound of shots and spells filled the air, she looked at the machine guns the filled the outer side of the wall

"Move those guns to inner wall" a few hobgoblin momentarily stared at her but they ran to the machines unbolted them, she looked to the mage's and pointed at them "you,you, you... and you move to the inner wall"

The goblin mage and the ogre mages ran to their new positions the mechines were in their positions and a soldier came out of the tower holding her sword

She threw the one she held to a random hobgoblin and took her's with a smile, she moved to the inner wall while those at the outer wall kept peppering the slime's

"Captain should we fire?" a hobgoblin manning the machine gun spoke as she walked past it, she raised her hand looking down at the battle raging on between Utal and the slime's

The mages and the gunners stood ready looking at her hand then

A pink liquid increased in size standing behind the slimes fighting Utal and the soldiers

"There you are bitch" her hand fell as she smiled at the pink blob still growing, bullets sprayed down on the blob while the mages hit it with light, lightning, ice, iron,water magic

'That not enough' she climed up on the outer wall as the pink blob kept growing "non of you should stop firing at that thing regardless of what happens" her voice rang clearly yet no one said anything except fire at the blob

She jumped off the wall a few soldiers momentarily stopped firing, the wind brushed against her skin, her once green eyes became dark as night, the sliver edges of her sword slowly turned black

'Those bastard should give me a raise' her body was parallel to the wall as she looked at the barely visible shadow of that blob[Shadow hop]

The elves eyes widen when she reappeared next to the blod her feet stood apart but firmly planted to the ground

She glared at the blob coldly as she swang her sword that had black mist at it edges[Phantom slash] her blade cut the side of the blob while the black mist cut through the slime's body

A horizontally inclined line appeared on the slime as the bullets and spells kept hitting it, it stopped growing

"You swine" three blode haired elves lunged at her, she looked the shadows past them leading to Utal [Shadow hop][...

Her figure became blurry as she moved through their shadow and reappeared next to Utal[Light slash] Utal blade glowed as he swang for the elfs chest but it parried him and jumped back when a figure reappeared behind Utal

"Tsk" she clicked her tongue as she looked at the blob closing the line on its body, the bullets and spells were lessening on the blob 'Dexter is done'

[Swift step] the elf breezed past Utal to her side and swang for her colour bone their swords spaked as she parried it

It jumped back as Utal turned and swang at it, she looked around to see that only a hand full of soldiers remained most of them were groaning on the ground with blood flowing out of their necks

The bullets and spells had stopped firing all that remained now was the clanking sound of swords clashing, she lunged the tip of her sword at the elf in front of Utal but it side stepped her attack and aimed for Utal neck

"Clank"

"Get ready Dexter is done" she spoke as he parried its sword

"Everyone move closer to me!" Utal screamed as he swang his sword again the elf blocked it with a smile but the tip of Lucy's sword appeared next to its neck, it jumped back then

"ROOOOOAAAAAR"

At the spot that once stood the pink blob now stood a dragon towering over everyone on the battle field the elves smiled as it roared then

A black cycle with familiar patterns appeared beneath Lucy feet, the others were around her even Utal, a whistling sound came from dragons mouth as it glared at them with golden eyes that had vertical slits then

"UTAL!" Her eyes widen as a familiar creature with a muscular body and a head of a rat stabbed Utal in the neck three time, she ran to Utal with watery eyes then

It vanished with Utal's body as the flames passed where it once stood, they vanished

The flames ravaged the blacktop roads, the stone and concrete building as the dragon turned at everything

It flapped its wings with that fire torch sound filling the air, it flew over the city engolfing the buildings in flames

Yet past the sound of the dragons flames and the cheers of the elves the were no screams not a single one

Lucy and the other reappeared in the eastern city,

"Thud"

With tears in her eyes she dropped to her knee, she had seem a childhood friend die in front of her, she knew Utal since their time together at school, she was there at his wedding at the birth of his child and even when he lost his wife

"Where Utal" Dexter spoke as he looked through the people bowing their heads, Lucy raised her head with tears rolling down her cheeks, she opened her mouth and tried to speak but the words could not come out

Then a little girl with puffy eyes peeked from behind Dexter holding his robe "auntie where's dad?"

While the death of Utal brought bad new to others Vice smiled, he had gained a lot from Utal death, the hot wind brushed against his skin listening to the dragons flames

The fall of one city now left four cities remaining on the continent that once thrived now a former shell of what it used to be, while the upper continents defend the world from the invasion of the humans and elves in hopes of preventing their continent from the fate that fell the bottom tier continent centuries ago
