"Mmh, stop teasing me, oni-chan~"

A low whine came from the back of Gina's car, and Gina looked up at the rearview mirror to see Maya lying on the backseat and sleeping like a log. When Gina and Janet had planned to leave for LA earlier, they had accidentally woken Maya up since they were all in the same room, and Maya had cried out since she thought that Janet was trying to leave without telling her again. Jason and Mira had lied to Maya that Janet had left for college the last time Janet ran away, and Maya thought that Janet was leaving to go back to college, and she begged Janet not to go! Maya just got back home a few days ago, so why was Janet already leaving!? It took a lot of explaining and promises from the two girls before they could make Maya stop screaming and shouting, and it wasn't until they promised to take Maya along that Maya finally agreed to let them go. But they had been driving for the better part of five hours now, and Maya was so exhausted during the car trip that she ended up falling asleep in the backseat, and Gina was sure that Maya would be asleep until they got home!

Gina smiled when she watched the sleeping girl, but when she heard Maya mutter something about 'redheaded bimbos with big boobs', her smile fell into a frown. Cheeky brat.

"Gina, what's that?"

Janet suddenly spoke up with a confused tone, and Gina turned to her curiously. Janet was looking up at something outside the car, and Gina turned to it as well to see what was there! There was a figure falling from one of the large beams that held up the bridge, and he had his hands out like he was about to conduct an orchestra. Everyone driving on the bridge felt shock pass through them when they saw this, and there was only one thought going through all their minds at that moment. What the fuck was going on?

"Do not fear death, do not run from despair. Your sacrifices are not in vain. They are the seeds that shall bring this world to a New Order."

A loud voice suddenly echoed across the bridge, and at the next moment, a massive pressuer erupted over ht ebridge!

DOON!

Gina's eyes widened as she felt an insane amount of mana suddenly surge through the entire bridge, and she looked up in shock! What in the world!? This bastard was an SS Rank!

DOON!

WOOSH!

It all happened in one split second! At one moment, the figure had been falling towards the bridge, and at the next moment, a massive typhoone slammed into the bridge! The water from the river below the bridge surged upward like a tsunami and swallowed the structure! All the cars on the bridge were suddenly flung into the air like toys as the bridge began to shake uncontrollably, and since most of the cars had been moving, it was absolute carnage! The cables holding the bridge snapped from the intense waves, and the bridge turned in on itself and twisted like a piece of spaghetti! Screams and shouts could be heard coming from all the people around as they were thrown about by the intense attack, and cars plummeted to the water below as the bridge came down!

Gina had already moved the moment she felt the car starting to fly into the air, and she quickly reached out to grab Janet! All of this was happening in less than a single second, and even though Gina was moving very fast, Gina couldn't help but feel like the entire world was moving in slow motion! Janet's eyes were wide in shock as she felt her body flying out of the car, but before Janet could fly out, Gina grabbed her shirt and pulled her close before Gina immediately started reaching for Maya in the backseat! Maya had still been sleeping when she car suddenly flew off the ground, but her eyes opened in shock when she flew off her chair like a pinball! Maya was flew back and was about to break through through the rear window, and Gina let out an intense scream as she saw that Maya was moving too fast! Gina wasn't going to make it!

"CATCH HER!!!"

Woosh!

Two Phantoms immediately jumped out from the shadows around Maya, and one of them rushed to grab her in its arms while the other one lashed out with a kick that destroyed a massive truck that had been flying in their direction!

BOOM!

The truck exploded from the kick, and the Phantoms held Maya gently as they fell to the ground! Gina made sure that Maya was safe with the Phantoms before she focused on making sure Janet was okay. Two more Phantoms had already come out to help Gina with Janet, and Gina held Janet close as they fell out from the wrecked car while the Phantoms made sure none of the cars flying around came close to them! Gina activated her gift in midair, and she stopped falling as her mana allowed her to float over the falling bridge.

BOOM!!

The broken bridge finally fell to the river below, but before it could sink, Gina called on multiple [Swamp Vipers] and told them to hold the bridge up! The swamp vipers swam under the bridge, and they used their bodies as floats to make sure that the bridge didn't sink into the water! Once Gina was sure that the bridge wouldn't sink, she immediately looked down to check on Janet properly. Janet had already passed out, but Gina's eyes widened when she saw that Janet was also injured! There was a large cut across Janet's right shoulder from a piece of glass, and Gina felt a surge of pure fury passing through her when she saw this! Gina made sure that Janet was still breathing fine and that the injury wasn't bleeding too much before she finally turned around to try and see where Maya and the Phantoms had fallen!

The Phantoms had taken Maya down to the falling bridge, and once they landed on solid ground, they quickly checked Maya to make sure she didn't have any injuries. Gina felt relieved once she saw that Maya was okay, and she quickly called on another Phantom that had been following her! The Phantom appeared from behind Gina, and Gina handed Janet to the Phantom and told it to take care of her. The Phantom nodded her head and took off to meet with the other Phantoms on the bridge! Once Gina was certain that both girls were safe, she finally turned her attention towards the person who had attacked them! There was a man standing on a large frozen platform in the middle of the river, and he had his hands up in the air as he got ready to unleash another attack towards the bridge, but Gina released her mana, and an insane pressure suddenly pressed down on everything in the region!

DOON!

Yuslev looked up in shock when he felt the sudden rise in mana, and he narrowed his eyes as he noticed Gina looking down at him with a furious expression on her face! Yuslev could tell from the mana surrounding Gina that she wasn't a normal superhuman! The mana was almost as much as his own, and he knew for certain that she had to at least be a high-level S Rank if not an SS Rank!

'Where the hell did someone like this come from? I thought only superhumans from low-level guilds were going to be here?'

Yuslev felt annoyance bubble up from deep inside as he realized that he would have to put in more effort to get rid of the superhumans here, but he didn't allow that to bother him too much since he knew that he was more than strong enough to handle all of the superhumans! Yuslev immediately raised his hand, and a massive wave of water rushed up towards the floating bridge! Yuslev didn't know why the bridge hadn't sunk already, but he didn't need the bridge to sink! So long as he sent enough water towards the bridge, then everyone who survived his first attack would drown and die!
