"Hey, babe. I got a message from Juliet. She says there are some documents you need to sign at the office later."
Gina's voice drifted towards Jason from where she was making some spaghetti and sauce in the kitchen, and Jason hummed from his place on the living room floor before looking over at his girlfriend. It had been two weeks now since the attack from Evon, and both Jason and Gina had gained a lot of experience training every day. Gina was still an SS Rank, but Jason knew it wouldn't take long for her to gain the necessary Hierarchy Ranking. Jason allowed his eyes to trail over Gina's body greedily. Gina was wearing a pair of extremely short shorts that showed off her toned legs, and a tank top that could barely contain her large breasts. There was some sweat running down her cleavage from the heat of the fire, and if not for the fact that Jason was in the middle of an important rune right now, he knew he would be in that kitchen bending Gina over that fucking table. Jason closed his eyes and let out a small sigh before he responded calmly.
"Tell her to give one of my subordinates to bring it to me."
Gina smiled.
"Sure thing, babe."
Gina put her phone back in her ear and gave Juliet the message, and she tried not to laugh when Juliet let out an exhausted sigh. Juliet had been trying to get Jason to come to the guild building for close to a week now, but Jason had been expertly ignoring Juliet's calls and messages, and Jason kept telling Juliet that she could give any documents he needed to sign to his subordinates to pass on to him! Juliet told Gina that there were also some meetings that Jason needed to be present for, but Gina turned that down without even needing to ask Jason. Gina knew that Jason just didn't have that kind of time to spare. Jason already told Juliet that he was only going to be a member of the Monarch guild in name alone, and from what Gina had seen, it was obvious that he intended to keep to his promise! If the Monarch guild needed Jason to go into a Gate or to save someone, then Jason would happily show up, but as far as business was concerned, Jason wasn't going to bother himself at all!
[Can Jason really not come in? Griselda is coming back soon, so it'll be nice if the workers could see both of them together for some pictures. Hey, what are you doing—!]
[Ah, is that Oni-chan! Oni-chan, where are you!? Come save me from this place! The trainer here is a slave driver! He wants to kill me!]
[Maya, give Juliet her phone back right now! Can't you see she is busy with work! Come on, we need to go back to training!]
[Ah, Janet wait! I was talking to Oni-chan! Oni-chan, save me!!]
Gina laughed when she heard Janet and Maya arguing on the other side of the phone. Jason had sent his sisters to the Monarch guild so that they would learn how to control their strength, and from what Gina had been hearing, Maya had been an absolute menace to Juliet. Anytime Juliet was having a call with either Jason or Gina, Maya would immediately come around to beg Jason to save her! There was even one time when Maya started running away with the phone, and Juliet had to give chase since the call was important! That had been the funniest day ever!
[Here you go, Miss Juliet. I'm really sorry about my sister. She usually loses her mind when it comes to Jason. I'll discipline her some more, I promise.]
Janet quickly handed the phone back to Juliet and Juliet smiled as she watched Janet drag Maya off. Juliet let out a sigh before she went back to the phone.
[Save me, Gina. This entire family is driving me crazy.]
Gina grimaced slightly when she heard the tiredness in Juliet's voice, and she leaned back through the kitchen door to see how busy Jason was. Maybe if he wasn't that busy, he could just pop in at the office for a moment. Jason was sitting on the floor and hunched over a piece of rune paper that he was working on. He was shirtless, and Gina felt her eyes trailing across the various new runes that Jason had drawn on his skin. There were some dark circular defensive runes that went across Jason's chest and down his abs, and there were smaller runes on Jason's arms that would help with attack, as well as runes on his ribs that increased his lung capacity and stamina. Jason had even drawn some movement-based runes on his feet that would help with agility, and Gina could only think about how dangerous Jason looked with all that ink on him. He looked like the leader of some biker gang that was going to take her away and have his way with her. Gina bit her bottom lip as her mind started to drift to what she and Jason had done the previous night, and a heat began to pool in her stomach as she pressed her legs together—
[Gina. Are you still there?]
"Huh?"
[A/N: What a Fucking Pervert.]
Gina's eyes suddenly snapped open in shock, and she blushed slightly as she realised that she was still on a call! Gina quickly went back to her spaghetti and apologised to Juliet. Jason didn't look like he would be moving for a while, so there was no way he could come into the office.
"Sorry, Juliet. He's really busy with training right now, so he just doesn't have any time to come into the office. Just let him off the hook this once, alright? He'll make it up to you later, I promise."
Juliet sighed before she finally threw her hands up and spoke in exasperation!
[You know he hasn't even seen the guild building in like a week now, right!? And he isn't picking up my damn calls! I know he sees those calls and voice messages! He's just ignoring me, isn't he!? I know I told him that I'd handle the official matters, but I didn't think he'd take me this seriously! Tell that boyfriend of yours that he's nothing but a thorn in my ass! And if he doesn't start picking my damn calls, I'm going to send messenger drones through your fucking window!!]
Gina chuckled when Juliet finished her rant, and she thanked Juliet for her hard work before cutting the call. Gina leaned back and passed Juliet's message to Jason with a laugh, and Jason couldn't help but chuckle at the childish message! Jason told Gina that he'd make it up to Juliet with a higher salary, and Gina could only shake her head before going back to what she had been doing. Juliet was already the highest-paid personal assistant in the world, and she earned more than ten million dollars a year. But Gina knew that this problem was about more than just money. At this rate, Gina wouldn't be surprised if Juliet suddenly showed up at their door unannounced and tried to drag Jason to the office with her.
Jason drew out a line on a piece of rune paper to link the rune foundation to the rune key and then frowned when his hand shook while drawing the link. Azrael had hammered the importance of the pathway that connects the foundation and key into Jason, but for some reason, that pathway was the only thing that still proved a problem to Jason. Jason could make keys perfectly, and even though his foundations weren't perfect yet, they were far better than any Runecaster at his level. But the link between the two of them still needed a bit of work. Jason stayed focused, and he continued working on the rune slowly for the next hour without any breaks. But Jason smiled when he felt a hand touch his shoulder before a body leaned down and pressed against his back.
