But the soldiers and scientists didn't know that Jason was already working on getting rid of the Pharynx. Jason didn't have any reason for wanting to do this except for the fact that he knew it wouldn't take him much effort, and it would be a good experience for his subordinates. And besides, the fact that the Pharynx wasted Jason's time for no reason pissed Jason off.

Jason's subordinates were already making their way down the tunnel the Lynx had used to come to the surface, and in a few minutes, they would reach the main nest. Jason spoke to Hector calmly.

"Is there anything I need to know about the Pharynx? Some sort of weapon or an ability that might be troublesome?"

Hector blinked in surprise.

[Uhm, not really. It is just exceptionally powerful. But why are you asking this?]

"I sent my subordinates to kill it, so I'm just checking for what they should expect."

SCREECH!

The car immediately screeched to a halt in the middle of the wilderness, and both James and Hayley turned to look at Jason in shock! Hector's eyes were wide in disbelief, and Jason gave James an irritated frown for how suddenly he stopped! The bastard was lucky that Gina didn't wake up! Jason asked them what they were looking at him like that for, and Hector finally spoke!

[Are you saying that you're about to make contact with the Pharynx!?]

Jason turned to the side, and he used [Eye of the King] to watch as the Sovereign used the shadows to travel down a long tunnel that had been dug right into the centre of the planet! This tunnel was the same one that the Lynx had used to reach the surface, but now Jason's subordinates were using it to reach the Pharynx! Once the Sovereign broke through the tunnel and out into an open space, he was immediately hit with a wave of intense heat and pressure as he arrived at the core of the world! The core was a glowing red ball that spun around slowly like a miniature sun, and it was so large that it made the Sovereign look like an ant in comparison! The Sovereign immediately looked towards a strange black creature that had attached itself to the side of the red ball!

The creature looked like an octopus with hundreds of arms and a large body! Its skin was pitch black, and it was large enough to make the Sovereign look like a fucking rat in front of it! This was the Pharynx, a creature known across the Primordial Domain as the Core Eater! The Pharynx's body was pulsing in a slow, steady rhythm like a heartbeat, and every time it pulsed, it would glow with a red light as it absorbed more power from the core! The core grew dimmer every time the Pharynx absorbed power, and Jason could tell that it was only a matter of time before the core was completely consumed!

The Sovereign sent out a pulse of mana to inspect the power level of the Pharynx, and Jason sensed that the Pharynx was a bit stronger than the Sovereign. That meant it was somewhere in the high-level SSS-Rank or the low-level TITAN ranks, just like Jason! The Sovereign wouldn't be able to defeat a beast like this on its own, so it was a good thing that he wasn't on his own. From behind the Sovereign, Jaraht, the general, and Raya, the adamantine queen appeared, and the Queen let out a deep screech towards the Pharynx that echoed through the region! The moment the Pharynx noticed that there were foreign entities intruding on its territory, it turned towards them and opened a large mouth with multiple jagged teeth before letting out a high-pitched screech that made the entire core rumble! A dark mass began to emerge from the Pharynx's mouth, and Jason hummed as the Pharynx literally vomited hundreds of Lynx that flew towards Jason's subordinates! Well, this was disgusting.

Jason spoke to Hector calmly.

"Have you ever tried to get rid of the Pharynx before? And if so, then what should I be looking out for? And you, can you keep driving? We're literally in the middle of nowhere?"

Jason turned to James in irritation as he said that last part, and James apologised quickly as he started the car and drove off again! All the military vehicles and Zen mechas had also stopped when the main car stopped, but once James began moving again, the other cars followed after them. But no one could really blame James for being shocked, because both James and Hayley couldn't even comprehend what they were currently witnessing! Did Jason really just say he was going to kill the Pharynx!? That beast had been a thorn in their side for close to a century, and they had to fight tooth and nail to even try to survive against it! And Jason was talking about killing it like it was just another day to him! Hector was also in shock from what Jason said, and he had hundreds of different questions for Jason, but Hector managed to get himself back quicker than the others, and he answered Jason's question quickly.

[It was a long time ago, long before we formed the settlements and the United Human Alliance. Humanity formed a team of elite soldiers and sent them down one of the tunnels leading to the centre of the Earth. We were hoping to kill the Pharynx or to drag it out to the surface so we could kill it up here, but the Pharynx was just far too powerful for our technology. The Pharynx released more than two thousand Lynx, and we were forced to fight for our lives. The battle was so fierce that even till today, the area where the mission was carried out is still off-limits to civilization, and it was quarantined to keep people out and to keep the last remaining Lynx inside. That region is known today as the Null Zone. It is because of the terrible failure of that mission that we haven't tried to deal with the Pharynx all this time. We know that the Pharynx is capable of far greater destruction if we push it too far.]

Jason hummed at this bit of information, and he turned his attention towards where the Sovereign and Jaraht were decimating the Lynx that were trying to attack them! The Lynx were nowhere as strong as the Pharynx, and the most powerful one was probably somewhere in the high S-Rank, so dealing with them was like child's play to Jason's Legion! Raya was flying around the Lynx and making her way towards the Pharynx to carry out the main plan and bring it to the surface. But Jason could understand why it would be so difficult for the humans here to deal with monsters like these! Having to fight against hundreds of S-Rank monsters would be like the humans on Earth having to fight against hundreds of S-Rank dragons! They would be massacred no matter how advanced their technology was! The car finally came to a stop at the Giverna Valley, and Jason felt Gina stirring on his lap! Jason looked down at her with an amused grin as she opened tired eyes, and Gina pouted up at him with a small blush on her face! Gina couldn't believe she fell asleep so easily! Gina sat up and rubbed her eyes as Jason opened the door to step out, and he helped Gina out as well before he finally spoke up while looking back where they had come from!

"Well, I should say you're in luck. I'm irritated by the mere existence of something so vile, and I've decided I want to kill it. If you have any soldiers that can handle the Lynx and Pharynx, then you can prepare them for battle. You have me on your side this time, so this won't be like the battle at the Null Zone; you can be assured of that."
