"Hey, what the hell is going on!? Everything is shaking!?"

"It's an Earthquake!? Are we under attack!?"

"I think it's a Lynx!"

"Lynx don't cause tremors like this! This is something else!"

Both the soldiers and the teenagers in the Zen Mechas spoke up in worried voices as they tried to maintain their footing! The only people that seemed to still be unaffected were Jason and Gina, for some reason! But Hayley didn't even bother to think about that because there was something else on her mind! Something that her instincts were screaming at her about! Although this tremor was far greater than anything Hayley had ever felt before, that didn't mean that this was something new to her. This intense, continuous tremor that almost seemed like it was never going to end was something that Hayley had encountered many times on missions to defeat the Lynx! This was a sign that something was digging a tunnel through the earth to reach the surface! But with a tremor this intense, Hayley knew that this was no Lynx!

"This is… the beast of the apocalypse. The Pharynx is coming."

James turned to Hayley in shock when she whispered this, and at the next moment, the ground exploded!

BOOOMM!!!

The entire region in front of Jason and Gina suddenly erupted with a massive geyser of magma and molten rock, and Hayley immediately shouted for all the soldiers to get on their military vehicles! The vehicles had been crafted to withstand extremely high heat, so they could wait for the cars until the lava solidifies! The soldiers all climbed on, and they raised their guns as they watched the giant hole that was still spewing magma. Gina put her hand out when the lava was about to reach her and Jason, and she created a large divide through the magma with a blade of wind! The magma split to either side of them and solidified from the intense winds, and Gina continued to release wind to make sure that all the lava around them was solid! Jason was using his [Eye of the King] to take a look at what was happening below the surface, and Jason grinned when he noticed that the Sovereign was holding onto one of the Pharynx's tentacles as the giant creature tore its way up to the surface! There were hundreds of Lynx surrounding the Pharynx, and Jason could sense that the Pharynx was still creating more! Jason already knew that the Kamikaze from his subordinates would be enough to drag this bastard out! The Pharynx had come here to harvest the planet's core, so it obviously wouldn't want to damage the core by fighting close to it! So the Pharynx was bringing the fight to the surface so that it could finish all the enemies off at once!

The rumbling continued for a few more seconds as the ground continued to spew magma in front of Jason and Gina, and it wasn't long before a massive figure suddenly burst out from the ground with a world-shattering screech!

SCREEEECCCHHHH!

The Varigan soldiers felt fear grip their hearts as they stood and stared at the massive creature in front of them. Their guns slowly lowered, and their eyes widened as they saw the sheer size of what they would be facing off against! The Pharynx eclipsed the sun with its size! Its body was a black mass of writhing tentacles and pulsing red light that formed a grotesque, disgusting image! It was as if someone had poured black ink on a genetically malformed octopus and sent it out into the world to cause carnage and destruction! The Pharynx slammed its many tentacles into the ground as it cried out to the sky again, and hundreds of Lynx suddenly began to run towards the soldiers and Zen Mechas! One of the soldiers there spoke in a small, terrified voice as he looked out on the sea of black monsters.

"We're all going to die."

"DON'T BE AFRAID! THIS IS WHAT WE'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR ALL OUR LIVES! IF WE DIE, THEN WE'LL DIE IN A BLAZE OF FUCKING FIRE!! LET'S GO!"

Someone suddenly shouted through the comms, and all the soldiers were shocked when they recognised Haruto's voice from inside the Zen Mechas! Haruto was glaring at the large Pharynx with the hatred of a thousand men, and his partner, Rei, was looking at him like he had grown two heads! Haruto turned to Rei with sharp eyes that didn't show a hint of fear, and for the first time in her life, Rei felt some actual respect and adoration for the person that she called her partner! Rei also grinned as she felt Haruto's madness infecting her, and they both faced forward before pushing their Mecha into action! The Zen Mecha took to the battlefield and began to run at the horde of Lynx, and the other Zen pilots felt their own courage being boosted by their comrades, and they charged after the Lynx as well! Jason smiled at the enthusiasm from the Zen pilots, and he quickly called on Azrael!

Azrael came out from the Alternate Dimension and slammed his staff into the ground, and more than a thousand undead creatures suddenly began to rise from the shadows! Dragons, wyverns, superhumans, giants, knights, worms! Every type of creature that Jason had ever used [Necrotic Reanimation] on was suddenly called into this world, and Azrael put his hand forward and ordered them to attack! The monsters charged towards the Lynx and caught up to the Zen Mechas before passing them so they could reach the Lynx first! The Zen pilots were all surprised to see the undead creatures, but they didn't stop their stride, and it wasn't long before the two armies clashed!

BOOM!

The Lynx were like a tornado of madness that tried their best to tear through anything and everything in their path! The Lynx fought bloody tooth and nail against the Zen Mechas as well as Jason's Legion, but the Zen Mechas had been trained for this day all their lives! This was what they had been born for! Haruto sent a command ot the Mecha through their mind link, and the Mecha grabbed a long rod from its back and transformed it into a sword before using it to split a Lynx in half! Another Lynx charged towards the Mecha from the left, and Rei pulled out a gun and used it to blast the Lynx to smithereens! Every Mecha had a single gun and a large sword, and even though Haruto and Rei hadn't been partners for a long time, they were so compatible together that they were moving across the battlefield like veterans who had known each other for years! Meanwhile, although some of the undead soldiers in Jason's Legion were only in the B or A class and they couldn't put up a good fight against the Lynx, there were still many others that were in the S and SS class, and those groups were decimating the Lynx in their numbers! A group of dragons flew over the battlefield and unleashed blasts of fire that slammed into the Lynx like battering rams before exploding!

But no matter how much they seemed to kill, it was as if the wave of Lynx was never-ending! This was exactly what had happened in the Null Zone! The Pharynx had continued to spew out Lynx like a never-ending storm, and the soldiers ended up getting overwhelmed when their Mechas ran out of energy and bullets! The thought of what would happen if the Lynx kept coming this way crept into Rei's mind, and Rei was about to shout for Haruto to think of something else, but their comms suddenly beeped, and a voice came through.

The Mecha soldiers all looked up when they saw multiple figures appearing in the sky, and they saw fifty helicopters carrying large Zen Mechas towards the battlefield!
