Strongest Necromancer System

Chapter 557: Are Those Rabbits Screaming?

Everywhere Jason turned, it was like a thousand snow rabbits were lurking around the area, and Jason was suddenly very glad that he didn't choose to attack those snow rabbits. If they had started screaming, then they would have turned this world into an enormous alarm system that would definitely attract the Beast of the Apocalypse. Jason moved as quickly as he could, and the world around him blurred past in a trail of blue and white! Whenever it looked like Jason was about to run into a horde of rabbits, he would either stay in the shadows of a large rock to allow them to pass or he would just activate [Camouflage] and allow himself to blend into the snow. But since Camouflage was only an A-Rank skill, Jason could only use it whenever he was far away from the rabbits, since they would still be able to sense his magic signature if he was close enough. This continued for a while with Jason easily evading any contact with the rabbits, and after more than ten minutes of continuous running, Jason asked the system how far away he was from the Dimensional Tear.

[The user should reach the Dimensional Tear in ten minutes at his current pace.]

'That long?'

Jason frowned when he read what the system sent back, but he realised that he shouldn't be too surprised. Jason was moving very quickly, but the distance he needed to cover wasn't small, so he just had to make sure he didn't make any mistakes that would draw attention to him. Jason quickly crouched and began to run again, but unknown to him, more than five hundred miles away from where he was, a dimensional tear opened in the air, and a large group of Machina soldiers began to march out into the world of Hanir. The Machina were moving in well-organized groups with the generals taking charge in each of the different groups, and from behind the Machina army, various air carriers appeared in the Hanir sky, and they let out deep, rumbling hums as they quickly began to scan across the horizon for Jason's mana signature! The air carriers didn't fly too high in the sky since they knew that they were in the territory of a beast that they didn't want to run into at all, and as they searched for Jason's mana signature, they also kept an eye out for any other dense mana signature that might belong to the Beast of the Apocalypse.

But the Machina didn't see anything dangerous around them, and the Generals all began to separate into different parts of the world along with their own army subordinates. Moving in a single group would be far too obvious, so the Machina decided that they would separate and look for Jason individually across the world, and if any of the generals find him, then they would send a signal to the others for support. The Machina had already underestimated Jason one too many times. This time, they were going to make sure they overwhelmed both him and his Legion in one move!

One of the army groups belonged to Freya, and she narrowed her eyes towards the north as she motioned for her men to follow her. The Machina had been outfitted with special technological suits that had internal heating and complete insulation from the weather, so they were not really affected by the intense cold of this world, but that doesn't mean that they were completely immune, since some of the lower-ranked soldiers felt shivers going down their spines from the chill!

[General, I think we have something. There's a large mana signature somewhere towards the north. It's not enough to be anything stronger than an SS-Rank, but we think it is worth checking it out.]

Someone spoke to Freya from the air carrier above, and Freya acknowledged the tip before she activated the rocket boosters on her back, along with all her men, and they began to fly toward the north quickly! Freya got another message from the other generals saying that they would circle around and meet Freya ahead, and Freya told them that she understood before she refocused on the path ahead. Freya knew that she had a lot to prove to the other Generals in this mission, and even the men who were following her were only doing it because she was ranked higher than them. Freya had not yet earned their true respect as their general, and if she wanted it, then she had to make sure she completed this mission properly! There was a strange fog just ahead, and Freya asked the air carrier to scan the fog for any traces of mana.

[There are mana traces, but nothing dense. It's just a regular fog, ma'am. Probably a result of an old snowstorm.]

"Alright, head in."

Freya ordered them to dive into the fog, and she easily rocketed in with the other members of her group! The other army generals were moving a lot quicker than Freya and her group! One of the army groups belonged to the General known as Yuva, and his group all activated ice gliding devices on their feet before they released a blast of fire from their thrusters to push them forward! The entire group blurred into motion as they quickly began to head in the direction pointed out to them by the air carriers, and they were moving so fast that they just managed to avoid some of the snow rabbits that were lurking in the area! The group was heading towards Jason from the left, and another group was heading towards him from the right, and at the pace they were going, it wouldn't even take five minutes before they reached him!

With Freya, she and her army burst out from the other side of the fog easily, and they all stopped as they arrived in a large town that had been frozen over with blue ice. There were centaurs and buildings all around them, and it was almost like the entire town was just a giant statue preserved for eternity.

"What sort of monster can do something like this?"

One of Freya's men spoke up in complete shock, and Freya told the man to shut it. His bullshit tone was going to put worry into the hearts of the others! The man immediately kept quiet, and Freya glared at him for a few more seconds before she finally focused back on the town, and she blinked when she saw something move in front of her.

"Are those rabbits?"

Another one of the soldiers behind Freya spoke up in confusion, and Freya realised that they were indeed rabbits! Freya hadn't noticed them before since their white fur blended in so well with the frozen town, but now that she looked carefully, she could see that there were dozens, no hundreds, of the rabbits! They were all just standing around and looking up at the Machina army with pale blue eyes, and Freya decided that they weren't important enough to bother with.

"Let's keep going. We have a lot of ground to—"

SCREEEEECCCHHHHHH!!!!!

Freya immediately recoiled as a piercing screech echoed through the town! Freya looked down at the rabbits below her, and she was shocked when she saw that one of the rabbits had opened its mouth and was letting out a cry like a fucking siren! More and more of the rabbits began to let out their own screeches as well, and most of the army put their hands up to their ears in shock as they wondered what was going on!

SCREEEEECCCHHH!!!

SCREECCHHHHH!!

SCCCEREEEECCCHHHH!!

SCREEECCCHHHH!!!

All of a sudden, the loud, piercing screams began to travel towards them from all over the world! Freya's sensitive ears could pick up high-pitched sounds from miles away, and it was easy for her to hear the screeches coming from all over the world! It was almost like the rabbits here had agitated the rabbits in various other places, and they were all suddenly screeching at the same time!
