A Journey That Changed The World.

Chapter 1618: Should We Begin

Archer settled into his seat as Edith guided Alexa to the chair beside him, then took her place on his other side. ''Let's eat,'' the older woman said with a smile. ''Then we can check out the entertainment deck.''

Nodding in agreement, he twirled a forkful of pasta, while the navy-haired woman reached for a sandwich. Their conversation flowed easily, punctuated by laughter, until a sudden, violent wave slammed into the ship, jolting them sideways. Dishes clattered, and he gripped the table to steady himself.

Seconds later, a grizzled voice crackled over the intercom. ''Hold tight, folks! The sea's kicking up a storm, but I'll steer us through her worst.''

He glanced at the two women, their faces flickering with concern, but he just shrugged and turned to the nearby window. Through the rain-smeared glass, he spotted a sleek Destroyer carving through the stormy sea, riding the crest of a massive wave before it slammed into their ship with a muffled boom, spraying foam across the pane.

The vessel tilted briefly, but Archer, unfazed, took another bite of pasta as the captain's gravelly voice crackled over the intercom, promising to navigate the rough seas. While eating, something hit his senses, causing him to let out a growl that reverberated through the dining hall.

Without waiting, he opened a portal outside and ordered the giant turtle to defend the fleet from the incoming monster. The monsters lunged out and crashed into a school of large jellyfish. Just then, Demetra, Teuila, and Kassandra jumped overboard seconds before transforming into their Primal forms.

The trio crashed into the water just after his newest beast and headed for the threat. He heard the Krakens Princess's warning. 'We may need you, husband. The enemy is powerful and will be able to beat any of us thanks to the stronger Deep One monsters.'

Archer's lips curved into a faint smirk as he called out for one of his wives. ''Mary!'

A portal materialized instantly, and Mary stepped through, cradling little Artemis in her arms. The baby's fluffy gray hair bounced with each step, her chubby cheeks dimpling with a gummy smile as her violet eyes locked onto Archer, letting out a delighted squeal. The older woman's gaze met his, her expression shifting to one of fierce determination.

''What do you need, handsome?'' she asked, her voice steady and ready for action.

''Can you help me deal with the Deep Ones?'' he requested.

The older woman eagerly nodded, turning to Alexa. ''Can you look after Artemis until I get back? I know you love them as much as I do.''

When the younger woman heard those words, a bright smile stretched across her lips as she agreed. ''Of course, I'd love to spend some time with this cute angel.''

Following that, Archer grabbed Mary's hand, teleporting them high above the water as the fleet passed under them. His wings covered the grey-haired beauty, keeping the rain from hitting her. His mana was helping the duo from falling before she looked at him with a big smile.

''Should we begin, handsome?'' she smirked.

''Let's go.''

As Mary fell back, a glow erupted from her, illuminating the dark sky. Her body shifted, elongating and coiling into a colossal, serpentine creature, scales glinting. With a thunderous splash, she plunged into the sea, unleashing a towering wave. Archer watched her massive silhouette dive into the depths, only to collide with another monster.

Archer leapt into action, his body shimmering as he transformed into his Dragon form, scales gleaming like snow. He plunged into the inky depths, mana enveloping him in a protective aura that let him breathe underwater. His sharp eyes pierced the darkness, witnessing a chaotic battle unfold.

The Blood Sharks tore through humanoid creatures, ripping them apart with savage precision, while his turtle clashed fiercely with a massive Deep Sea Whale, their blows sending shockwaves through the murky abyss. Demetra was biting through other creatures trying to get to the fleet.

Moments later, Archer's draconic eyes narrowed as a fleet of Draconian Subs materialized through the shadows and unloaded a wave of missiles that slammed into the creatures thanks to being tracked by mana. Explosions tore through the swarm of Deep Ones, reducing the grotesque creatures to gory fragments that clouded the water with crimson.

Archer surged forward, his building-sized claws seizing two writhing Deep Sea Whales. With a primal roar, he crushed their massive bodies, scales splintering under his grip, before his jagged teeth snapped one clean in half. The horde froze, their frenzied advance stuttering as blood flowed.

From the shadows, Kassandra emerged, her colossal tentacles coiling like living towers. With a single, devastating sweep, she ensnared a cluster of Deep One leaders, their warped forms crumpling under her grasp. Meanwhile, Teuila carved through the water, her jaw's tearing through anything that came close.

Chunks of flesh and severed limbs drifted in her wake, the sea churning with the chaos of her onslaught. The battlefield trembled as the trio's combined might turned the tide, the Deep One's numbers dwindling under their assault. He spotted the leader down in a crack, fighting Mary.

A massive, humanoid fish-beast hurled Mary from the depths. Archer caught her mid-tumble and teleported them both above the creature. He plummeted like a meteor, jaws wide, and clamped onto the enemy's arm. With a savage wrench, he tore the limb free, blood clouding the water as its roar shook the abyss.

He didn't relent and tore into the Deep One leader just as Mary wrapped herself around its torso, trapping it in place before she bit into its shoulder. The couple tore through the monster with ease. By the time the battle had come to an end, there were creatures all over the place.

Without thinking, he captured them all, including Deep Sea Whales and Death Squid that found new homes in the Domain. The women quickly returned to the ship to wash and relax, thanks to the hours of fighting. He was sitting on the edge of the deck, glancing into the water as Mary joined him.

''That was good,'' she said joining him. ''Thanks for calling for me, I didn't know if you remembered that I was a Primordial.''

Archer laughed at the older woman's words before shaking his head. ''How could I forget? But I knew I'd need your help, especially underwater.''

Just then, the subs appeared just below the ships, protecting them from any more rogue monster hordes. Mary grabbed his hand, a bright smile stretching across her face. ''Thank you for giving me Artemis, my love. She's a delight to be around.''

''You're welcome,'' he squeezed her hand. asking. ''I'm going to spend some time with her if you want to stay on the ship?''

''Yes, please,'' Mary said, smiling. ''I needed to get out of the palace. I was stuck in there for too long.''

Archer was about to speak, but Teuila, Aisha, and Elara appeared, bright smiles on their faces when they saw the green-eyed beauty. The blue-haired young woman was the first to speak. ''Mary! Come join us for a drink to celebrate Lara's nearby birth.''

''I'm not drinking by the way!'' Elara looked at him, reassuring. ''Just juice, I can feel the baby kicking.''

''That's good,'' Archer replied, standing up and wrapping the redhead in a tight embrace as he whispered. ''Are you okay coming along? It's not too rough on you?''

''No, I'm fine,'' she reassured with a warm smile. ''And it's not like we're going into battle. I'll be okay.''

Following that, the women left him alone after each one said their goodbyes. Archer went to find the babies who were being watched by Meredith. The blonde turned to him with a warm smile. ''Hello you, it's been some time since we've seen each other.''

''Yes, it has,'' he said, joining her on the nearby as she bounced Selina to sleep.

Meredith giggled. ''You don't have to be nervous, husband. We all understand and don't hold it against you,'' she reassured.

Archer nodded. ''Thank you Mere,'' he responded. ''How have the babies been?''

''Naughty,'' she answered. ''Artemis and Amelia have been play-fighting, causing Selina to cry because the poor thing was left out.''

''I see their growing up now,'' Archer said, a proud smile crossing his face. ''I need to go see Freya before we land on Verdantia.''

When the blonde heard this, her eyebrow arched. ''Will we be safe there? It's their land after all?''

''We'll be fine,'' he reassured, drinking some dragon ale. ''They need a ceasefire to recover from the war; they've exhausted their resources.''

''You know they'll attack once they've recovered?''

''Yes, I'm aware, but we'll be ready,'' Archer answered with confidence, lacing his voice.

Following that, Meredith tended to Selina before putting her in the nearby cot alongside her sister to rest through the evening. By the time they woke up, Olivia, Mary, and Teuila appeared to grab the babies. The women took the girls back to the rooms to feed, putting them to sleep.
