Chapter 1063: Who Else?

Xia Ling stood in the middle of the classroom, her dress swaying in the breeze. The sunlight that was cast onto her from outside made her appear a little magical and fantastical. She tipped her chin up slightly like a triumphant goddess as her beautiful voice echoed through the air. “Who else?”

Nobody said a thing nor moved.

“In that case, that’s it.” She ended off with a one-liner before taking her leave.

Everyone else in the classroom looked at each other.

“End the class for now,” Principal Sha said to Teacher Hatina[a] as he took a look at the time. “We’ll have a make-up session for this lesson another time. The few of you—” he pointed at Xiao Hua and a few others, “help Xia Ling with her luggage.”

Xiao Hua and the rest were more than happy to do it.

Hierarchy was highly regarded at Imperial’s training camp—the Best Student of the Year was allowed to instruct any other student in the same cohort to do things for them. It was almost a given for Xiao Hua and the rest to move Xia Ling’s luggage for her. What’s more, Xia Ling had only just been appointed as the class monitor and the rest of the committee had not been decided yet. If they worked harder to curry favor, they might just be able to make it into the committee. Although the committee members were not at an equivalent status to the class monitor, they were still considered to be on the higher levels of the pyramid and had the right to get other classmates of lower levels to help them out as they wished.

A few of them hurried to get it done.

“How about us?” The conduct in-charge—no, the previous conduct in-charge, Li Hua, asked.

“You people? Didn’t Xia Ling ask you to run around the field? Hurry and go now. If you can’t finish your 400 laps, or 500,” Principal Sha looked sympathetically at the poor child, “don’t come back to class. Ten-odd days of classes can pull your standard apart from your other classmates… by quite a bit.”

“This isn’t fair!” Li Bingman felt that it was completely unjustified.

Principal Sha raised his hand and signaled that there was nothing he could do. “Even I am unable to go against the rules that Imperial Entertainment has laid since its establishment. Bingman, it’s not that I don’t wish to help you, but I simply can’t.”

With that, he deliberately gave a long sigh before walking off.

He left Li Bingman and a row of students standing awkwardly in the classroom.

“Sister Bingman, now what?” Someone finally asked.

Li Bingman glared at that person. “What do you mean what now? Just run!” The sooner they were done with the laps, the sooner they could get back to class! She was going to be a megastar, and every moment mattered! She couldn’t afford to waste a day of classes!

The person who got glared at hung his head low, fuming on the inside but not daring to speak.

She was the one who had a conflict with Xia Ling, and she had the audacity to vent her anger on everyone else after losing the battle? She made it seem as if they offended her! This Li Bingman was the sister of a Diva and yet she couldn’t even pit herself against a little girl? How weak! Moreover, those who were on Xia Ling’s side not only managed to evade the run, they even stood the chance to be in the class committee!

A few of them were already thinking about whether they had followed the wrong leader as they did their laps…

Meanwhile, Xia Ling was unaware of this situation as she took Xiao Hua and the rest to the dorm. She opened the door to A301, the room that belonged to the Best Student of the Year, and mercilessly tossed all of Li Bingman’s belongings out. In an attempt to prove their loyalty to Xia Ling, the rest of them treated Li Bingman’s stuff with as little kindness as possible too—her pillows were ripped, her flowerpot shattered, and even the tea set souvenir that her sister had bought from abroad was completely damaged. The pile of stuff lay around in the hallway like trash as passersby glanced at it.

There were other students in this dorm building as well. When they heard that the Best Student of the Year did not even have a room to herself because Li Bingman occupied it, they despised Xia Ling quite a bit—if the Best Student couldn’t even keep her own room, what right did she have to take that title? She was just embarrassing the Best Students of other cohorts.

Some students in the other cohorts had taken this opportunity to mock the Best Student of their year as well.

Hence, although the other Best Students of their respective years despised Xia Ling, they did not have a good impression of Li Bingman either—as someone who broke the rules, Li Bingman was definitely not considered to be on the same team as the Best Students.

Now that they saw Li Bingman’s belongings being tossed out, they felt some thrill as well.

“Seems like the new Best Student isn’t as weak as we thought.”

“Exactly, how could she be a Best Student if she was weak? I’d long guessed that she’d retaliate.”

“Well done, Li Bingman has been on my nerves for a while now. She doesn’t even give way to the seniors in the hallway. How rude!”

News spread fast and before long, many of them were deliberately passing by the A301 room to mock Li Bingman.

At the same time, they could take a look at how the new Best Student looked like.

Xia Ling proudly got her classmates to help move her own belongings into the room. Seeing that some others were gathered at the door, she invited them in. “I’ve only just arrived and have no idea how I should decorate this place. It’d be nice if you could help me take a look and give some comments. Oh right, I brought lots of sweets. Here, have some.”

She took a huge handful of gummies from her LV travel bag and distributed them.

Those who had a good eye would know that this was an expensive brand of candy. It was organic and had no unnatural additives or preservatives. In fact, the company even allowed customers to customize their candy orders according to their needs. One would need to pre-order it in advance and wait for its shipping.

Even though the girls at the training camp came from rather well-to-do families, they’d only get a few of these candies occasionally and flaunt them online.

But look at this girl here, she had so many of them!

And she was giving them out so generously!

Did she think this was a sale?

Two of the senior girls exchanged glances as they ate the gummies.

Girl A asked, “This can’t be an imitation brand, right?”

Girl B said, “I don’t think so. My dad bought me some last year. It tastes just like this.”

They looked at Xia Ling’s dressing—it wasn’t a branded good but the quality was top-notch. A few of them even tried to have a touch of it when they helped her move her items. The dress was so soft and fluffy, it made people fuzzy on the inside. Her luggage by the side was a Rimowa, and the scarf she wore on her head casually was actually a Hermes. The other miscellaneous ornaments she placed on the tables, as well as her toiletries, were all of well-established brands as well.

A few of the girls were stunned by these items—they didn’t look fake at all!

Those who had spread rumors about how poor she was and how she had to borrow the BMW that she arrived in on the first day were simply… ignorant!

One of the girls cleared her throat and tried her best to ask casually, “Xiao Ling, your scarf is so pretty. Did you buy it yourself?”
