The day passed and it was a brand new day signaling the start of the weekend, Adam woke up in his room at his dorm feeling absolutely refreshed.

"I feel good, it just because of my breakthrough."

His core has been transforming at a stable pace that his body was brimming with mana at it almost felt infinite

"I could get used to this." He said while getting of his bed and going towards the shower.

"Today is the day that we go to the royal palace."

He remembered that today was the day they would go to the royal place to meet the twin's older sister.

"I should wear something presentable."

He choose his casual clothes that made him look good even in formal settings, he wasn't the type to deal with politics or wearing highly flamboyant clothes just to make a statement.

After getting himself ready Adam left his room and went to meet up with Duke and Selena.

He found them near a fountain as they were both sitting on a bench talking and that's when they noticed his presence.

"Hey Adam, are read-" he wanted to say something but then noticed something different about Adam today, although he had a strong presence around him. But this time it grow and the mana flowing throughout his body was apparent.

"Did you breakthrough?" Selena asked, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"Yeah I just did yesterday," he said with a light chuckle while scratching the back of his head.

"Damn bro, I need to get serious too. Can't let you widen the gap between us like this." Duke said.

"Yeah, we're not backing down either." Selena said as she didn't also didn't want to get left behind.

Duke and Selena were both at the Peak of D rank, they are known as prodigies in their own right almost everyone in class S was at the Peak of C rank and could breakthrough at anytime from now.

Adam had speculated that after this weekend some might reach C rank as well, especially Grace she was the person who he was confident will reach this level soon.

"Well, you guys ready?" Adam asked shifting the topic away from himself to the task they had today.

"Yeah! I can't wait to see my older sis!" Duke said excitedly.

Selena just nodded with a smile creeping down her lips.

Adam nodded back as well as they went towards the palace in the capital.

All of them decided to walk and not rush themselves choosing to enjoy themselves while they went there.

They passed by multiple shops and decided to take a look around and buy some food while they were on the way.

They all decided on getting some milkshakes that they'll drink on the road and they were all having a lot of fun.

They eventually reached the palace as they stared at the massive golden gates that were glistening under the sunlight.

"This place is impressive as always." Said Adam.

"Well can be suffocating as well." Duke said feeling less pleased.

Selena noticed it and felt like this had to do with Cedric one way or another.

The guards saw them approach and upon noticing the twins he immediately opened the gates.

All the guards who were present formed lines and made a salute their heads looking at the sky and they all shouted in unison.

"Well come back to the palace your highnesses!"

Duke and Selena just nodded at their gesture and them a slight nod, they also noticed the young teen following from behind them they recognized his appearance since it was striking but didn't address him since he was no longer a noble.

Adam didn't offended by this and knew this would happen since he wasn't among nobility and it wasn't known that he was in a Top 4 ranked guild but that's a topic for another day.

They all walked next to each other as they approached the massive mansion and they were also guards stationed near the door guarding it with outmost dedication.

They guards made a salute and opened the doors for them to enter and upon entering the were servants who welcomed them.

"Seems like they knew we were coming." Said Duke.

"Yeah, well we did notify father beforehand that we would be coming to the palace today." Selena responded.

Adam just glanced around the whole room admiring the architecture a bit before following the twins, since he was a commoner now it was best if he stuck with the twins while they are still inside here.

The king's Aid was already waiting for them as he bowed and addressed the both of them:

"Welcome back Prince Duke and Princess Selena, the King and your siblings are waiting for you in the throne room."

He then glanced at Adam as his brows were raised as he sensed that he was already at C rank and the boundless mana that was being emitted inside his body.

They have always known that there are people who had boundless mana eclipsing other high ranked awakened and it seemed Adam was one of them.

He then snapped away from his earlier surprised look and walked with them when they were going to the throne room.

'His potential is greater than the rumors say, and to think it hasn't been a week since he awakened.' he thought to himself.

It didn't take too long for them to finally reach the throne room, they were now standing near a massive door with golden and platinum ornaments.

"Their highnesses and their guest have arrived." He said as he awaited approval.

"Enter."

A regal voice filled with immense authority responded as the large doors opened to reveal the throne room.

There weren't a lot of people in attendance just the royal family and the prime minister of the kingdom.

Lucien and Cedric were standing near the throne, one was in the left and the other in the right side respectively.

Katie however was seated just below both of them by choice, she could have seated on Cedric's side due to her accomplishments but she wasn't a fan of that.

She was a person who wanted to make a name for herself using her own strength and influence, she was a renowned figure that was respected throughout the whole kingdom and could've been heir to the throne if she wanted but decided against it.

That's what inspired Duke and Selena to be independent as well since she was their role model, they also didn't want any claim to the throne, and this was only a battle between Lucien and Cedric.

And Lucien's place as the crown prince was already made clear but anything significant could change that and that's what Cedric is betting his life on.

All of three of them came inside the throne room, the butler's presence disappeared as he was seen behind the king since he was he aide and also trusted personnel.

Duke and Selena greeted their father.

"We're back father." Both of the said.

"Welcome back my children, sit we'll talk later."

They both bowed as they sit as their seats near the king and Adam was the only one left alone.

He walked towards the throne as stood in a respectable distance, he kneeled down and bowed down towards the king.

"Greetings your Majesty, I'm filled with nothing but gratitude being infront of your presence." Adam said with a respectful tone.

The king made a slight smile and said:

"No need for the formalities since this isn't a formal setting, it's been a while since you've been to the palace and I also apologize for your recent circumstances." The King Said.

"It isn't his majesty's fault, it's a family matter. And I'm not bothered by it since I received the freedom and authority to do whatever I want." Adam said nonchalantly.

"Hahahaha." The king chuckled a bit before saying. "Ah yes I've heard about your achievements in the academy and it seems this is a huge blow to the Dragonis estate for removing such a talented awakener."

"Your overestimating me your Majesty." Adam said trying to down play his achievements.

This wasn't because he wanted to hide his true capabilities but rather in order to no cause too much trouble in the palace, he knew Cedric didn't like him due to his mother being from unknown origins.

And now that he was no longer a noble things just got worse as he could see the disgust he had on his face.

The King however just took this to him being humble and continued to praise.

"You deserve the praise Adam. You've awakened the space affinity which hasn't been seen ever since the first awakened. And also are the apex of Silford Academy." The king said with a slight amusement in his tone.

But before he could add anything onto it further Cedric interjected and said.

"Father I just think his achievements might be too exaggerated, perhaps a duel can be done so we can see his true capabilities."

Cedric said calmly but his plan was to embarrass Adam in a formal setting in the palace.

He always hated him due to what he has done year ago in the palace, he humiliated Cedric by beating him to a pulp while he was harassing Duke and Selena.
