It's been a week ever since the gate accident, there whole academy was in an uproar.

The news about the gate corruption have spread to numerous parts of the human continent, the whispers that Kyrexis has come back and the students that managed to survive an A ranked gate.

Class S and A were treated immediately the moment they stepped out the gate, they were sent to the infirmary to treat their mana exhaustion.

Even though Adam was fine, he was also sent to the infirmary just in case.

They instructors and guild officials tried to question them, but professor Veyra and the Vice-Headmaster stopped them saying they'll do that after they were treated.

Even though they wanted to know, they also knew that they must be injured and also mentally exhausted.

Adam was in his medical wing, they had already checked him and found that he doesn't have any injuries and his mana wasn't even depleted.

When they questioned him Adam just evaded their questions saying that it must be due to his physique, they didn't dare question him again went they felt his aura pressing down on them.

"Sigh... that's why I didn't want to come here." Adam muttered to himself.

After getting out the gate numerous system notifications went off in his head, but he dismissed them and decided to check them out later.

"Okay these will be enough, I'll need to awaken my bloodline or evolve my physique if I want to be prepared for what's going to come next."

After making the purchase both of the items were stored into his inventory.

"Adam..." That's when a familiar voice interrupted him while he was checking his status.

He turned to the direction of the voice only to see Professor Veyra entering the room.

She was wearing a black long coat, her hair was tied back neatly, and her eyes were holding a faint glimmer of worry.

She wasn't the only one to enter the room, the Vice-Headmaster Emily also entered the room.

"Your supposed to rest, but it seems your fine." Emily said.

"Even if his natural healing is far superior, he still needs to take a break." Veyra replied.

Adam's lips just curved faintly. "Well I don't have time to rest, when it seems like the world might end at any minute."

Veyra just took a deep sigh and just chuckled slightly. "You're way too calm about this."

"Nothing will change if I'm not."

Emily studied him quietly for a moment and joined in. "Well it's a good thing your up, The Headmaster requests your presence. The king will also be attending, but through a projection."

Adam raised an eyebrow and asked. "The King?"

Emily gave him a short nod. "Yes. He wants to hear what happened at the gate directly from those involved, especially from you."

Adam just frowned slightly. "Why me?"

"Well you were uninjured when you came out the gate, not to mention you reached B rank in a just a short time."

Adam just sighed, feeling a bit annoyed but just nodded.

"Well you did beat his son's knight a few months ago," Veyra said, as she stepped closer. "And you came out relatively fine after the gate corruption, and your now B rank and you mana readings are at the threshold of S rank, I'm sure his very interested in you now."

Adam just looked at her sharply. "...And that's a problem, isn't it?"

Emily gave him a knowing look. "There were a lot of people there who saw you when you came out the gate, and I'm sure all of them sensed it. Your strong Adam, this kingdom has many people who would want to use you or dispose of you. You've gained a lot of attention this time."

Adam said nothing, he just nodded before standing up.

Veyra and Emily mentioned him to follow them. "Okay now let's go, the meeting will be at the main hall."

Adam followed the from behind and thought. 'Seems like I need to be stronger than what I am right now, I can fight A ranks without a problem. But S ranks will be a problem unless i transform into a full dragon.'

Later – Academy's Great Hall

In a massive marble hall that was lined up with the banners of the kingdom's sigil, it was a golden lion that was intertwined with a sword and staff.

There was a faint blue mist that was filling the air from the active mana conducts that are being used to project the royal image.

There was a grand table, sitting on it were several academy heads, guild representatives and also knights of the royal guard.

And at the center of the table stood a shimmering golden projection of King Celestine V. Alaric himself.

Professor Veyra was the one who bowed first. "Your Majesty."

Adam followed next he tried to bow, but his dragon instincts flared with anger not wanting him to bow to another person.

He managed to suppress them because he's not strong enough yet to deal with the consequences.

"Rise," the king's voice was calm, smooth but carried authority. "I have already received your initial report, Veyra. But I now want to hear directly from the lad himself."

The King said as his projection looked directly at Adam himself.

Adam stepped forward, he was calm and confident despite that gazes that were on him from the nobles and guild representatives.

"Adam, we met before when you visited the castle with my children. However since this is a formal meeting, state your name and class."

"Adam. Class S."

Duke Dragonis was also present at the meeting, and Adam's eye flickered towards him when he said his name and class as if saying: 'Look at what you lost old man'

The King just nodded slowly. "From what I hear you were the one who destroyed the corrupted core in the dungeon yes?"

"Correct, your Majesty. The others also provided me with assistance."

"And can you confirm... that the cultists you've encountered, are the Outer God followed Kyrexis?"
