Hearing Aaron's words, the eyes of Bloodiene, Nomikana, Marina, and Moonlight narrowed. They gave him another deep look, none of them had expected the boy before them to be a respected Tier 3 Alchemist.
Bloodiene considered the deal. No matter how she looked at it, it was a good bargain.
Still, she asked, "Sir Aaron, may I ask your relationship with those three?"
She gestured toward Elisa, Viola, and Emile.
Aaron smiled. "Loyalty oath."
The pupils of the four leaders shrank again. They exchanged glances, realizing the depth of trust and power Aaron commanded.
Finally, Moonlight broke the silence. "Enough talk. Let's take the oath and begin the learning process."
Aaron coughed lightly. "Before we begin, I'd like to add one more condition."
The four turned to him in unison.
"I hope you'll sell the potion at a low price to ordinary people, those without background or influence."
The leaders paused, then nodded in agreement. Lowering the price wouldn't hurt them, and it raised their respect for Aaron even more.
Marina stepped forward. "Let me handle the ritual."
She summoned Mage Hand and swiftly formed a magic circle, a star with a circle at its center.
Each person stood at one of the triangle points. Marina poured in her mana, and with a flash of light, Loa appeared once again.
Loa looked around and muttered, "Why am I being summoned so frequently?"
Then her eyes landed on a familiar face, Aaron.
She was stunned. She remembered this Great Wizard had already received three loyalty oaths.
She bowed respectfully. "Respected Great Wizard."
Turning around, she was further stunned to see Maria, Nomikana, Bloodiene, and Moonlight, all Grand Wizards.
Realizing her mistake, she quickly corrected herself. "Respected Grand Wizard Maria."
Before she could continue, Moonlight interrupted. "Enough with the greetings. Marina, ask her for the contract."
Maria nodded and said, "Miss Loa, please give us a contract paper."
These papers were crafted exclusively by fairies, rare and binding.
Loa produced a shimmering contract scroll. "Please state the terms and conditions."
Marina took a deep breath. "Sir Aaron will teach us the Basic Mana Recovery Potion and one additional potion of Tier 3 or below.
In return, we will provide:
- Great Wizard-level meditation methods and below,
- Spells of Great Wizard rank and below,
- Potion recipes of Great Wizard rank and below,
- and six sets of herbs related to those potions."
Loa completed the contract after confirming everyone's names. She raised her hand and declared, "From today onward, the contract is activated. If any party fails to fulfill their terms within a week, they will be punished accordingly."
Then, she fluttered over to Aaron, her tone respectful. "Respected Great Wizard Aaron."
Aaron looked at her, confused. "Yes? Do you need something, Miss Loa?"
Loa nodded. "I wish to form a contract with you."
Aaron was stunned. So were the others.
Fairies had never initiated contracts with humans before.
Such a bond was more than symbolic, it created a gate through which Loa could be summoned freely.
Even Loa herself was puzzled. She was simply following orders from above.
Aaron asked cautiously, "What happens if I form a contract with you?"
Loa thought for a moment. "I'll be able to stay in the human world longer. You can summon me at will, and I can assist with support spells."
Aaron relaxed. "Alright then."
He paused. "How do I form the contract?"
Loa replied, "I need a drop of your blood, Great Wizard Aaron."
Without hesitation, Aaron took out a bone knife from his space ring and made a small cut on his hand.
Loa flew to his fingers and gently licked the blood.
A blood-red and black magic circle enveloped them both.
When it vanished, Loa opened her eyes and smiled. "It's done."
She flew up and perched on Aaron's shoulder, as if it were the most natural place in the world.
Meanwhile, Nomikana, Bloodiene, Marina, and Moonlight stood frozen, their expressions filled with shock and awe.
Aaron glanced at Loa perched on his shoulder and said with a gentle smile, "Loa, you can call me by my name directly."
Loa returned the smile. "Okay."
Aaron turned to the others. "Alright, ladies, let's go. I'll begin teaching you how to make the Basic Mana Recovery Potion."
He paused and looked at Viola. "Viola, come with me. I might need your help."
Viola nodded and stepped forward, her expression calm but curious.
Nomikana, Bloodiene, Marina, and Moonlight followed behind, each of them with various emotions flashing in the depth of their eyes.
Inside the basement, the experimental setup was already prepared.
Aaron paused in thought, then said, "Viola, fetch a bucket of water. And call Elisa, she hasn't learned this yet. She should join the class."
Viola nodded and swiftly left the room.
Aaron turned to the others. "I've used up my stock of Basic Mana Potion herbs. Please provide a fresh set."
Without hesitation, Nomikana stepped forward
and placed a complete set of herbs on the table.
Moments later, Elisa followed behind Viola,
her heart pounding. She never imagined she'd be learning alchemy alongside Grand Wizards.
Aaron looked around the room and asked, "Can anyone explain the current method for making the Basic Mana Recovery Potion?"
Nomikana took the lead. "The Alchemist Association's method has only a 1% success rate. So I tried optimizing it first by doubling the ingredients. But the results were the same, and the process took longer."
"Then I began reducing ingredients one by one. Eventually, I discovered that the Magic Dust from Blue Butterflies was the key. Reducing it to 6 grams raised my success rate to 80%. The best result I achieved was a high-grade potion."
Aaron nodded. "Not bad. But now that we've signed the contract, I'll teach you how to make the perfect-grade potion."
"Feel free to take notes."
Elisa quickly pulled out her notebook and feather pen,
ready to record every word.
Aaron began explaining, not just the ingredients, but the precise temperatures, the preparation of Blue Berries, and the exact reduction of Magic Dust to 3 grams.
The Grand Wizards listened in awe. His knowledge was far beyond anything they had learned or read.
A few minutes later, Aaron carefully controlled the apparatus, guiding them step by step.
When the final potion was formed, pure and without a single impurity, they were stunned.
While Elisa continued taking notes, the others eagerly began setting up their own apparatus, ready to replicate the process they had just witnessed.
