I will be a demon in this life!

Chapter 168

In the luxurious study.

Mart watched Teraz Sevec.

Teraz watched his son with a serene gaze but with a trace of warmth.

Mart knew that this demon never stopped loving his rebellious son.

Teraz got up from his chair, walked around the desk, approached his son, and placed one of his hands on Mart's shoulder.

"I congratulate you on what you have achieved," Teraz said in a gentle tone.

"I'm sorry I caused you so much trouble, Father," Mart replied as he looked into his father's orange eyes.

"You look more and more like your mother. You are very handsome," Teraz said as he pointed to two comfortable and elegant armchairs.

The two walked over and sat down.

"Tell me, what happened?" Teraz asked.

Mart felt that if he made a mistake, Teraz's inquisitive gaze could end up exposing him. He wasn't afraid for his life, but he didn't want to confront someone who could easily become an ally.

"I told my grandfather. I had a revelation from the god Alvat; then I met a believer, and since then I've been trying to change in my own way," Mart replied in a calm, soft tone.

Teraz remained silent for several seconds, Mart clasped his hands together, trying to appear slightly expectant.

"And those women demons. Who are they?" Teraz asked, changing the subject.

"They are and will be my life partners," Mart replied, trying to sound confident when talking about the subject.

Teraz smiled warmly and then said:

"If that's the case, you should introduce them to your father. Later on, you can go meet Miss Luna."

Mart nodded and continued talking about the Academy and his latest experiences over the past few months. An hour later, Mart left the study room.

...

Mart lay down on the comfortable bed in his room, staring at the white ceiling.

"I feel somewhat guilty for pretending in front of that demon; I even thought I sensed that he realized something. It wouldn't be unreasonable; a father who truly loves his son would notice if something were wrong. I hope I'm wrong," Mart thought as he covered his eyes with his left forearm.

Shortly after, Selenia entered.

She walked over and sat on the edge of the bed with white sheets and gold embroidery.

"Is everything okay?" Selenia asked.

Mart gently took her hand, pulled her toward the bed, and hugged her tightly.

"Yes, everything is fine for now. Don't use that here; it will be difficult to explain," Mart said with a smile.

"I know," Selenia said, staring into Mart's eyes.

Mart sighed, then said,

"Tonight we'll have dinner as a family."

Selenia nodded and then rested her head on Mart's chest.

He kept replaying the conversation he had had with Teraz, because it was more significant from a family perspective than the conversation he had had with Balac Sevec.

"I hope I never have a conflict that leads to enmity with the members of the marquisate," Mart murmured.

Selenia looked at him, because she knew there was no answer or adequate words at that moment, so she preferred to just remain silent beside Mart.

••••

The days passed, and Mart explored the mansion in the company of Iristel and Selenia.

He avoided Benjac Sevec, the half-brother of the real Mart, because in the past, the relationship between the two brothers had been quite bad.

As the Sevec marquisate was rich and powerful, it had no shortage of facilities, so he requested a facility for training.

Mart put on sports clothes, as did Selenia and Iristel.

As Iristel's demonic energy grew alongside Mart's, he wanted her to practice some magic.

Selenia was currently in the fourth rank (midpoint) and was very skilled with demonic spells.

The two of them could make a great duo if they practiced facing him.

Bang! Bang...

Iristel, who had learned to shoot spiral-tipped blades, did not hesitate to attack.

The spontaneous barrier protecting Mart activated, and he threw some spiral-tipped blades into the air and shot them at both of them.

Iristel tried to shoot a blade at the blade Mart fired, but she lacked the necessary precision and missed. As the blade approached, she created two demonic barriers, the first of which broke and the second cracked.

Bang!

Iristel fired another spiral-tipped blade, but using the illusory magic of the succubus lineage, she made three illusory spiral-tipped blades appear.

"Not bad," thought Mart, who, thanks to his energy sensitivity attribute, was able to distinguish which blade was real. However, in order not to detract from Iristel's merits, he fired four blades against the blades Iristel had fired.

On the other hand, Selenia had great control over demonic energy and demonic spells. Furthermore, it was from Selenia that Mart learned the importance of demonic barriers.

Selenia used concatenated demonic barriers over and over again to compensate for the difference in power between her and Mart. At the same time, she continued to create dozens and dozens of spears of concentrated demonic energy, trying to knock down the blades Mart was firing so she could counterattack.

Minutes passed until Selenia saw a blade stop and lose its force right in front of her forehead. On the other hand, Iristel saw a blade stop right in front of her demonic core.

Neither of them showed fear when the blades approached them.

"We're done for today; tomorrow we'll rest, and the day after tomorrow we'll train again. Let's go take a shower," Mart told them, and they headed to the bathrooms of the facility where they had been training.

...

"He seems to be a demonic sorcerer with overwhelming talent, because no one would deny that those two women demons are talented and were outmatched," said Balac Sevec, who had been watching the training from a room in the facility while drinking some golden liquor.

Next to Balac Sevec was Commander Fercan Sester, who remained distant from the faction that supposedly supported Benjac Sevec.

"I don't know much about magic. But even so, I can tell that the spells your grandson creates seem powerful," Fercan replied respectfully.
