I will be a demon in this life!

Chapter 200

Honorable Councilors, the Great Demon General Galot Ertrael is dead.

In the demon territories, near each border area in conflict, demons dressed in black robes and black gloves and wearing sinister red masks were observing the events.

The demons in red masks were the Watchers, a group of demons who served under the command of the Republican Council. They were responsible for surveillance and assassinations and were experts in stealth.

The Watchers were always sent to areas where war was raging, and they reported promptly regardless of the outcome.

Therefore, it did not take long for the Republican Council to learn of the clashes that day.

...

In an zone of human territory, near the rear guard, located in the different territories in conflict, were the imperial paladins.

The imperial paladins were warriors or swordsmen who wore silver armor with golden symbols and carried white capes on their backs.

There were two imperial paladins near each military camp. They were responsible for recording on transparent magic spheres the countless battles that took place on different battlefields along the borders.

...

When the clashes between the armies of the humans and the armies of the demons ended, the paladins headed for the location of the temporary camp of the Minister of War, Rasgar Relvin.

Night fell, and the moon was barely visible due to the night sky, which was once again flooded with clouds.

In the large white and gold military tent, in one of the sections designated for military council meetings, the commanders sat at a large wooden table on which lay a map of the conflict zones.

Commanders Lukas Laniert, Alden Milariant, Sansen Grivent, and Rich Mender watched silently as Superior Commander Olbert Venzick paced around the table, looking pensive, so none of them wanted to interrupt him, much less question him.

"Seize this opportunity? How much does the founding leader want to gain from this war? If we compare this war with other wars of the past, the benefits gained are not far behind. We have pushed back the demons, gaining a large territory that they will find difficult to recover," Olbert stopped rambling and looked firmly at Lukas Laniert.

-Commander Lukas, it is time for you to retreat. Your army has been decimated; however, the merits of the death of the Great Demonic General will be yours and your army's. For now, return to your territory and rebuild your military forces.

Commander Lukas could only nod. For him, the credit he had earned was undeserved, but at the same time, it was compensation for the reckless attitude of the False Edmund, who had been sent by the Superior Commander. Even so, Lukas could not help but feel a bitter taste in his mouth as he remembered how most of his army had died.

The commander sat down, looked at the other commanders, and ordered them to give him a comprehensive report on the results of the war in the different military camps.

The commanders followed the senior commander's orders and reported on the casualties their armies had suffered and mentioned the approximate number of demons that had been killed. They also reported on the military camps that had recently been set up and how they had organized security and surveillance to prevent any kind of ambush.

At the end of the meeting, the superior commander ordered them to let their armies rest and to be attentive to future directives that they would receive through the magical communication crystals.

••••

The Great Demon Generals and the Demon Generals communicated with each other using demonic communication crystals. They chose not to leave their own camps and only gave a report on the results and events of the day.

Although they all suspected that the Republican Council must be aware of what had happened, they ultimately decided to officially inform them, after which they sent letters to the nobles in the surrounding areas and to two Grand Generals.

After the day's results, they decided that they should strengthen the defenses at the borders, because they were not willing to serve as sacrificial pawns if another enemy like the one that pushed Galot to the limit appeared.

In one of the tallest towers of the Gothic castle. Under a clear night sky, the moon illuminated the figure of a man standing in front of a large window from which he could see the surrounding mountains, creating a view that was both fascinating and intimidating.

The handsome and imposing Lenard Trismegisto held a sphere in one of his white hands that projected the confrontation between the demon Galot Ertrael and the False Edmund, while his other hand rested on the edge of the large window.

"Founding leader. From my perspective. That demon is undoubtedly dangerous; he is a threat, I don't think it's right to use him again," said Samsart, who was communicating through a magical communication crystal.

"Samsart, it's better if they destroy each other. Besides, Sebkam can escape whenever he wants, but he doesn't because he knows that the seal that holds him back forces him to lose half his power, and he loves his power too much. As long as he is willing to make a demonic oath, we only need to find a human body that is capable of resisting his power. However, if he decides to escape, I will act in person. I believe Edmund left us a great contribution before he died. Now we have one more pawn with which we can suppress the demons." Lenard paused, a strong breeze ruffling his white hair with black streaks. "Inform Olbert Vensick to settle on the borders and await the emperor's directives. We will observe what decisions our emperor makes after this victory."

"As you command, founding leader." After those words, Samsart Detali cut off the communication.

In a sumptuous room with white walls, a wooden ceiling with beautiful hanging lamps, and cream-colored tile flooring with beautiful golden flowers in the center. On a large bed with blue blankets embroidered in gold and white sheets.

Emperor Richard Venrac lay with his head resting on the comfortable lap of the beautiful Empress Regina Stevensen.

Both wore sumptuous and comfortable nightclothes as they watched a holographic projection from a magic sphere held by the emperor in his right hand.

The emperor sighed and then said:

"One demon dragged another demon to his death. They only show me how powerful demons can be when they are cornered. This is not the best way to convince me that war is the way forward."

The Emperor stopped the projection as thousands upon thousands of feathers tore apart the human soldiers.

"You are the emperor, only you have the final say," "The Empress said to the Emperor as she looked at him warmly with her beautiful light blue eyes while her beautiful pink, wavy hair fell gracefully and elegantly over the Emperor's handsome face.

The Emperor placed the magic sphere on the nightstand and approached his Empress to enjoy a long, passionate night.
