I will be a demon in this life!

Chapter 213

Almost three weeks later, it was noon, and the sun was at its highest point.

Rens was traveling in a public demonic vehicle to Dimond City, the city where Azelt Belfec lived.

Azelt was a great demonic general who had abandoned his title of count. He was the most powerful demon in the history of his lineage, which is why he considered it more fruitful to support the Republican Council, because it was very difficult to rise to the rank of marquis or duke without the support of a sovereign.

Rens would not have minded, however, the problem lay in the fact that Azelt was one of the sponsors and protectors of Councilman Balnud Leron. Councilman Balnud was one of the main instigators, along with Councilman Granz Zelf. They led the forces that opposed the current nobles and also put Isirid in danger by insisting that the graduation test at that time be held on Marrac Mountain.

"I will gradually eliminate his allies outside the council; I will not spare any of the traitors," thought Rens, who could already sense the power of a demon in the seventh rank (maximum level).

The demonic vehicle continued on its way, and in less than half a day it would reach Dimond City.

...

At Danteriar Academy.

Right after class, a young demon was training in the closed training grounds.

The masterful way he wielded his sword was evident, a shining blade overflowing with an increasingly stable demonic aura.

Cut!

Cut!

He moved his sword while remembering the movements performed by his seniors.

Inhale and exhale.

Moraf Aracariz had reached the fourth rank (midpoint).

The handsome demon with blue-black hair, blue horns resembling crystals on either side of his head, white skin, and dark blue eyes looked at the young female demon who approached him and handed him a bottle of rehydrating potion.

With long black hair, red eyes, similar demonic marks on either side of her cheeks, and great beauty, she was Moraf's girlfriend, Mereida Sebidarial.

"Do you think he can defeat you?" Mereida asked curiously.

The end of the academic year was approaching, and in addition to choosing the graduation method, there was the tournament.

"No, Benjac Sevec is not my target. I don't want to fall behind my seniors," Moraf replied calmly.

She nodded and moved away a little, because Moraf was going to meditate for half an hour to conclude his training routine.

...

Dimond City. Three hours had passed since nightfall.

Rens had scoured the entire city to make sure there were no powerful enemies hiding that could later escape.

Dimond City was almost as big as Damtes City. Still, for a demon with Rens' power, it was easy to cover it in less than two hours.

The city was nowhere near as big as Zazel City, but there were still some places that remained active after dark. However, Rens found himself in the dark slums.

He hadn't bothered to hide his presence, so he was just waiting patiently after making sure there were no high-ranking demons hiding.

"May I ask who you are?" asked a polite voice, coming from a demon with sharp eyes, dark green hair, and dressed in an elegant uniform in the colors of his house, green and black.

"I am a believer of Alvat," replied Rens, stating his intentions to fight.

"You plan to fight in the middle of the city? Many will die," said Azelt.

"It is my duty to destroy the traitors," said Rens, causing hundreds of earth spears to rise from the ground and attack Azelt.

Azelt extended one of his hands, and a sword emitting a reddish aura appeared.

Cut!

A swift cut that Rens would not have been able to perceive if he had not raised his rank. Even so, at that moment, Rens was only voluntarily exposing the power of a seventh-rank demon (maximum point).

Bang!

All the spears exploded next to the surrounding houses after being cut by concentrated demonic aura.

The power used by Azelt at that moment came from the sword with the reddish aura. He had not used all his power.

At that moment, the earth shook. All the slums rose.

All of Dimond City felt the tremor and were afraid. To some witnesses, it was a mountain rising, to others more precise, it was a titanic pillar of earth.

The entire slum rose almost 50 meters above the rest of the city.

Bang!

Boom!

The titanic pillar of earth shook. The demons were afraid.

Roots emerged from the pillar and rose.

...

A few hours later.

Cut!

Cut!

Countless earth golems were torn to pieces, and enormous roots threatened to impale Azelt.

Green wings resembling those of a dragon appeared on Azelt's back, and two dark green horns had also sprouted on his head, one on each side of his forehead.

"You're stalling. What are you trying to do?!" exclaimed Azelt, who realized that it would be very difficult to get close.

"I want to see your allies," replied Rens.

Cut!

Bang!

The army of golems reinforced with demonic energy, like the roots, continued to attack.

...

A few hours later.

The titanic pillar of earth was in a sorry state, looking as if it would collapse at any moment.

Above:

The green wings were now red, the sword exuding a powerful aura as it absorbed Azelt's blood in exchange for giving him power.

There were scales on Azelt's face. His power had reached the eighth rank (starting point).

"Damn them, they should have stayed in their graves," Azelt, pushed to the limit, cursed the believers of Alvat.

"There are no enemies within my range of perception; they are very careful," Rens sighed. He had planned everything to obtain clues, but it seemed to have yielded no results.

Rens reached out his hand toward Azelt, earth spears, metal spears, root spears, and golems attacked.

Cuts!

Blood!

In the blink of an eye, almost all the spears and golems were cut down. A few cut, struck, or stabbed Azelt's body, but with an upward slash, he cut through two demonic barriers and inflicted a deep, bleeding wound on Rens' body, forcing him to retreat.

"Alvat blesses us, demons will always be powerful."

Black golems protected by magical barriers rushed towards Azelt.

Cut!

Explosion!
