Limitless Path

Limitless Path Chapter Four Hundred

Val stayed with them an extra night before she, with quite a load of grumbling, left the following day. She had another half a day before she had to meet back up with the Young Scions, but she was going to have to take care of a whole bunch of admin work before that happened. Beth and Sera made sure she knew she was welcome any time before she left, even if she was fleeing the Young Scions (said only half-jokingly). After she was gone, Beth figured it was time to give their youngest member a little bit of love, getting Neph up to and through her first rebirth. Luckily for them, that really only meant a bit of work for Beth, as Neph just needed to use Beth's gate and grind, grind, grind.

Apart from that, they did have the piles upon piles of metal they had pulled out of the titan zone beyond the teleporter pad. Beth wanted to look through them all and figure out what they needed, what they wanted, and what they could afford to sell. She knew they weren't going to use all of what they had, especially considering they could, to a greater or lesser extent, re-use metal as they were practicing. Even considering they would like to keep a good bit of the precious metals for both their smithing use as well as for any enchanting someone like Val might want to do with it, they still had an enormous stock.

Beth got a tally of what everyone else had, as she wasn't able to fit everything in her necklace. Hell, they had so much, even removing the big block that was the airship would still not let her carrying all their metal. Good thing that Sera had a massive storage space, considering it came from a skill, and was able to hold immense quantities of stuff. Beth just made sure to get from the other two information on what metals they had and how much of each metal they had by weight, roughly. Once she had the list compiled, she reviewed what they had and made the determination on what they could afford to sell. She then traded around, with her and Sera and Blood trading until Beth had all their excess metal.

Once she had that, she opened the gate for Neph to get to work, and then headed out, taking the teleporter. She was making a quick, couple dozen golds jump to her favorite merchant house, though thinking about it, maybe it would be even more advantageous to bring Sera along. Her favorite greater demoness did seem to greatly enjoy the dragon girl's company, or the addition of the dragon girl to their dynamic. Well, she was pretty sure it would all work out either way.

A few teleports later, she was in her very favorite city, a city she had to dodge the planetary governor in for things not to get a bit sticky. She was well familiar with the streets at this point, ducking through them quickly to arrive at her favorite trading firm. She entered to find the lobby deserted, other than the staff, of course, one of whom she approached immediately. She was still unknown enough that the staff didn't recognize her right away, but her emerald badge got her prompt and impeccable service. She requested Selene, but she practically needn't have bothered, as the gorgeous greater demoness appeared in the lobby almost before the words were out of her mouth.

"My dear, so good to see you," Selene practically cooed. "I'm surprised you're back so soon. Did you miss me so much?"

"Of course," Beth replied boldly with a small grin. "I hope I'm not imposing?"

"Of course not. But come, let us change location," Selene said, guiding Beth down one of the hallways into the depths of the building. As soon as they were even reasonably out of sight of the lobby, the greater demoness's delicate, long-fingered hand came to rest on the small of Beth's back. Selene walked quite close, her body occasionally brushing against Beth's, their hips touching, Beth taking a few chances to make sure the contact was near-constant.

Selene took her directly to her office this time, forgoing the usual meeting room, though her office had far more space than the meeting room. If Beth needed to dump out a ton of inventory for Selene to inspect, she would still have plenty of space in the office, so much so that all the metal she had likely wouldn't make it cluttered. They were also not alone there, as Alex was finally back, Beth shifting a bit as they walked in, not sure it would be a good impression to have Alex's wife's hands all over her. The angel didn't mind one bit and, far from looking upset, she actually moved over to greet Beth with a hug and a very quick kiss.

"You rascal, stealing the first kiss of the day," Selene scolded, but she was smiling so broadly her whole face was slightly crinkled.

"You have to be quick on these things, my dear," Alex said to Selene over Beth's head, standing on her other side. Beth couldn't help but very slightly roll her eyes when she felt Alex's left hand overlap Selene's on the small of her back as the angel stood beside her. Very close beside her.

"I was going to apologize to you," Beth said to Alex, tilting her head very slightly to look up at her, "but I see that's not necessary."

"Yes," said Alex with a sigh, "I was so looking forward to meeting that beautiful dragon I've been told so much about. But I suppose we can postpone it for another time."

"Not what I meant, but I'm even less concerned now," Beth said with a deep, melodious laugh.

"You have a very pretty laugh," Selene said, pressing her body against Beth's rather tightly.

"Okay, okay, you two," Beth said, laughing brightly again. "Let's take care of business first, or I'd feel bad."

"Ah, and I thought you'd just come to see me," Selene said with a faux disappointed tone.

"I'll definitely stop by a lot, including with my gorgeous dragon wife," Beth said with a grin, giving first Selene and then Alex a kiss on the cheek.

"My, so chaste," Alex said with a laugh, getting them moving over to the large seating area in Selene's office.

"Behave," Selene scolded, but immediately countered herself by removing Alex's hand from Beth's back and kissing it warmly.

"You might be the one that needs to calm down, my dearest," Alex said in a very sensuous voice.

"You two are great," Beth said, still grinning as she looked up at them being affectionate while she sat on one of the thickly padded armchairs. "Not a pairing I'd expect to see, either."

"Well, there is a story behind it," Alex said, glancing between Beth and Selene.

"Oh?" Beth raised a brow in a perfectly practiced gesture.

"Later," said Selene in a quiet but firm voice. "Best not to discuss it now. It might sour the mood."

"I'm even more intrigued," Beth said, her second eyebrow joining the first.

"We'll tell you in good time, worry not," Selene said, taking a spot across from Beth in the seating arrangement. Beth was used to it by now, but still felt it was amusing, the way Selene put her bare legs up on the table, her dress hiding basically nothing, at that point. Alex sat between them to Beth's right, looking at Beth while leaning forward, likely subconsciously, and grabbing Selene's feet and starting to absent-mindedly massage them.

"Thank you, dear heart," Selene purred contentedly.

"She's on her feet quite a bit," Alex explained with a glowing smile, casting Selene a tender glance before looking back at Beth.

"Well, I don't want to interrupt, but I do have some stuff to offload, if you don't mind?" Beth said, chuckling at their antics.

"Of course. Please," Alex said, gesturing with one hand at the table.

"I've got a lot, but it's all metals," Beth said, pulling a bar of each kind she wanted to sell out. "It's all at least this level of mana density."

Selene merely flicked an index finger a tiny amount and one of the bars appeared in her hand. She examined for a few seconds, her eyes glowing as she frowned just slightly, turning the bar over, and then over again, running her fingers over it. When her eyes stopped glowing, she flicked a finger again and the bar reappeared in Beth's small pile. She repeated the process with a second bar, having examined the mana copper bar first but now examining the mana platinum bar. Beth always found it hard to tell what Selene was thinking when she was in 'work mode,' as the greater demoness was very good at controlling both her facial expressions and body language.

"How much of this did you say you have?" Selene asked, flicking the second bar back to the pile.

"Uh, a lot?" Beth replied, glancing between the other two. "I have a few thousand pounds in total, though only a couple hundred pounds of the rare metals all together."

"And you want to sell it all?" Alex asked, surprise coloring her voice.

"Well, this isn't everything," Beth said with a shrug. "Long story short, we discovered an old facility that had an absolute fuck-ton of bars sitting in it. What I have is just our extras; what I don't think we're gonna use in the next few years."

"Let me see it," Selene said, sitting up and gesturing at the table.

"It can handle it?" Beth asked.

"Unless you have a hundred thousand pounds or more," Selene said.

"No, not nearly that much. At least, not to sell," Beth said, waving a hand over the table and making a huge stack of metal bars appear in the center. "This is everything we've got."

"Alex," said Selene.

"Yes," Alex said with a nod, immediately diving in. The two went through all the metal Beth had brought, quickly but very carefully and skillfully inspecting each and every bar and piece of stock. It took them a mere fifteen minutes to categorize everything Beth had brought, sorting and stacking everything by purity and mana density.

"If this is only a part of it, it must have been an impressive find," Selene said, sitting back in her chair and leaning her cheek against her right hand.

"It was an old facility that the Path took over that was still operating as a foundry and factory," Beth explained. "It had tons and tons of materials there. There was a bunch of stuff a lot worse than this, just piles and piles of it. We just grabbed the best of the best of what was there, and this is just what we don't want or can't use for a long time."

"Auction or wholesale?" asked Selene.

"Do you think it will do that well in auction?" Beth asked calmly.

"Perhaps as a single lot…" Alex said, but she didn't sound very convinced.

"Wholesale," said Beth.

"And you do want to sell all of this? Not just a part?" Selene asked, glancing between the thousands of pounds of high mana density metal and Beth.

"Everything on the table," Beth affirmed.

"This is…a great deal," Selene said.

"We haven't even negotiated the price," Beth said with a small smirk.

"I understand," Selene smiled back at Beth brightly.

"You two," Alex said, shaking her head.

"Five mithrils," Selene said.

"Sure," Beth said with a shrug. She had a very rough idea of what the metals were worth, but Selene and Alex were experts. Besides, a diamond coin more or less didn't really matter that much to her at this point. Especially not when the amount they were talking about was already five mithril coins.

"Good. I like a swift deal," Selene said, grinning as she made all the metal disappear with a snap of her fingers. At the same moment, five shiny mithril coins appeared hovering just in front of Beth, who swiped them out of the air and made them disappear into her stat screen. "Now, what shall we do?"

"I can think of more than a few things," Alex said, sharing a glance with her wife before also looking at Beth.

"Ah, uh, sure, let's, uh-" Beth stammered, feeling like two hungry wolves were staring at her.

"There's no reason to be nervous, dear," Alex said, suddenly standing behind Beth and wrapping her arms around Beth's shoulders. "Just relax and enjoy our company."

"There's so much for us to enjoy," Selene said from right in front of Beth, bending forward to caress her face while Alex still whispered sweet words in her ear. "And the night hasn't even started yet."

'Sera, I'm not going to be back tonight,' Beth sent Sera through her communicator.

'Oh, I know. I knew exactly what was going to happen when you went there :),' Sera sent back with a little emoji at the end.

"Don't space out just yet," Selene purred, leaning further forward and kissing Beth gently but warmly on the lips. "You're going to enjoy both of our attention. All. Night. Long."

Alex scooped Beth up in her arms right after Selene kissed her while the greater demoness tore open a portal in space with a simple slash of one finger. Alex carried her through into their house, the same house Beth and Sera had visited some time before, while Selene followed, sealing the rent in space with a flick of her wrist. Alex didn't set Beth down but carried her into a massive and luxurious bathroom where the angel and demoness proceeded to strip her, and themselves, down to their birthday suits before taking their time to wash each other off.

The entire night was like that, with Alex and Selene paying very careful attention to Beth, which she more than returned in kind. She paid particular attention when they eventually made their way to bed, focusing on both women at the same time, though she only had a little practice with such things. She would have to get Sera to teach her some tips and tricks for focusing on two lovers at once without disappointing either, but she thought she did a fairly reasonable job for her second ever threesome.

The next morning, Beth woke up entirely wrapped in wings, angel and demonic both. Both of the incredibly powerful women she had fallen asleep with had multiple pairs, and they had wrapped them all around Beth, as well as their arms and legs. Selene's head was on Beth's left shoulder while Alex's head rested on her right breast. Beth had an arm around each of them and squeezed very tightly when she awoke, but it wasn't even enough pressure to make either of the Ascended wake. It wasn't even enough to make them stir.
