Superpower Small Farmer

Chapter 447: The Crew Enters the Village

The saleswomen turned pale upon hearing the words, their secure jobs suddenly on the line. Reluctantly, they began to apologize to Wang Xiaoqiang. The saleswoman who had shot Wang Xiaoqiang a warning look spoke first, "Sir, I'm truly sorry for our indiscretion just now. I apologize to you and hope you can be magnanimous, and not stoop to our level..."

Wang Xiaoqiang replied, "I must admit, I'm not the most broad-minded person. And, I think you should be thanking my brother. If he hadn't shown up today, things would have ended quite differently, and I could have made sure none of you could get by in Shenzhen..."

From the perspective of the saleswomen, Wang Xiaoqiang's threat seemed overstated. They thought contemptuously to themselves, "Pah, if your boss weren't your brother, you'd already have been kicked out by security. And here you are, playing coy after getting lucky."

At that moment, Wang Dali spoke up, "That's right. Don't doubt his words. If I hadn't shown up today, it would've been tough for you to continue working in Shenzhen. To put it bluntly, if this company weren't mine and belonged to someone else, they probably would have suffered greatly because of your rudeness."

The women didn't believe Wang Xiaoqiang's words, but they did believe Wang Dali's. After all, Wang Dali had risen from a mere laborer to a real estate magnate in both Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and he had effortlessly defeated his fiercest competitor and the biggest underworld boss in Guangzhou, ensuring that no one dared to cross him afterward.

Manager Ma, having heard Wang Dali's words, eyed Wang Xiaoqiang with a look of awe. Wang Dali was known for his pride and never praised anyone, which implied that Wang Xiaoqiang must be even more formidable than Dali himself.

The alarmed women soon scurried away in dejection.

Manager Ma immediately made a phone call and sent a few more people to cover the area.

Wang Dali then had Manager Ma prepare a villa for Wang Xiaoqiang, insisting on the best one.

Wang Xiaoqiang certainly didn't refuse. After all, as brothers, one shouldn't quibble over details.

When Wang Dali saw Little Bao, he was overjoyed and lifted him up high in play. Turning to Wang Xiaoqiang, he said, "Little Qiang, I also have a son now, named Tianpeng. He's in Guangzhou. Why don't you guys visit Guangzhou? Let Little Bao meet Tianpeng."

Of course, Wang Xiaoqiang couldn't refuse.

So the family of three embarked on their trip to Guangzhou, with Wang Dali setting aside his work to show them around.

In Guangzhou, Wang Xiaoqiang met Wang Dali's wife from Guangzhou, a woman named Li Ailian, whose appearance could be described as above average, not quite as pretty as Liu Juyi, but with a decent demeanor. Li Ailian had long heard about Wang Xiaoqiang from her husband, Dali. She hadn't expected someone to achieve such success in business and wield such power and influence, so she was somewhat restrained in front of Wang Xiaoqiang. Although she was his sister-in-law, she behaved as if she were a junior. Tianpeng, however, had no such reservations; upon meeting, he and Little Bao started playing together. However, after a while, they got into a fight over a toy. Tianpeng was no match for Little Bao, who was bigger and stronger by a year, though Little Bao did not really hit him.

The two branches of the Wang Family were finally reunited. The families spent several days enjoying Guangzhou, visiting its scenic spots.

First, they went to Zhenhai Tower, which Wang Xiaoqiang had read about in his primary school textbooks. He had never imagined that, after all these years, he would actually get to see the real Zhenhai Tower.

Zhenhai Tower, also known as Wanghai Tower, is located atop Yuexiu Mountain's Little Coiling Dragon Hill. The tower, originally known as "Wangjiang Tower" due to the wide Zhujiang River, was renamed to "Wanghai Tower" to reflect its majestic view. As the tower spans five layers, the Northern City Wall was extended to Yuexiu Mountain, and a five-story building was constructed on it to enhance the grandeur. Zhenhai Tower has been destroyed and rebuilt five times; the current structure is made of reinforced concrete, converted from a wooden frame during the 1928 renovation. In 1929, it became the Guangzhou Municipal Museum. In 1950, it was renamed Guangzhou Museum, presenting cultural relics and historical materials, detailing the city's development over more than two millennia.

After touring Zhenhai Tower, of course, they went to see the South Sea Shrine, an important site that served as a significant landmark for ancient maritime trade. Built in the 14th year of the Sui Kaihuang era (594 AD), it has a history of 1414 years. It is the most complete and largest remaining ancient sea temple in China, bearing witness to the maritime Silk Road that originated in Guangzhou since the Western Han Dynasty. The shrine covers an area of 30,000 square meters, stretches deeply into five courtyards, and on its center axis from south to north, it features an archway, the main gate, the ceremonial gate, a pavilion, the main hall, and the rear hall. On either side, there are corridors and bathing pavilions on the small southwestern hillock. Most of the existing buildings are from the Qing Dynasty.

Considering the children, a visit to Chimelong Paradise was inevitable.

Chimelong Paradise is a shining new jewel in the world-class tourism kingdom of the Chimelong Group. Located in the heart of the first batch of China's 5A-level tourist attractions, Chimelong Tourist Resort, it combines amusement rides, stunt theaters, parade performances, ecological leisure, specialty dining, theme shops, and comprehensive services in one mega-sized, world-top amusement park, using international advanced technologies and management.

There is also the Chimelong Water Park, a favorite among children like Little Bao who were reluctant to leave.

Chimelong Water Park is the largest, most advanced, and safest water park in the world, with the most water amusement attractions. It has received several major awards from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, marking the international leadership of Chimelong Water Park and the first time a Chinese theme park has won such top-end international awards.

They also visited the Guangzhou Zoo.

Located on the eastern section of Xianlie Central Road, Guangzhou Zoo was established in 1958. It spans over 433,000 square meters and houses several hundreds of animal species from both China and abroad, making it one of the three largest zoos in the country. It is one of the well-known zoos in the nation, with lush trees, abundant flowers, vibrant greenery, and an orderly arrangement of animal enclosures nestled among red blooms and green leaves, reflecting the characteristics of southern gardens. It attracts nearly 4 million visitors annually.

And they went to Xiangmi Lake Safari Park.

Guangzhou Xiangmi Lake Safari Park features a large-scale wildlife group released into the wild and self-drive tours. It serves as a conservation, research, breeding, tourism, and educational center. It's hailed as China's most internationally-acclaimed national zoo and Asia's largest wildlife theme park. The park boasts a vast expanse of South China's subtropical rainforest ecosystem; it houses 13 Australian koalas, 10 Chinese giant pandas, Honduran anteaters, and over 460 other rare animal species amounting to over 20,000 creatures; it pioneered the self-drive tours to view animals; and it offers the world's most impressive White Tiger performance among its five major animal shows. In 2007, it was rated as the first national-level 5A tourist attraction in Guangzhou.

After spending a few days enjoying himself in Guangzhou, Wang Xiaoqiang received a call from Boss Zhao saying that the script was ready and that Wang Xiaoqiang should return to the Northeast film crew to discuss the start of filming.

Wang Dali happened to overhear this and couldn't help but ask in surprise, "Little Qiang, are you going to invest in a movie?"

Wang Xiaoqiang smiled and said yes, but he didn't go into details with Wang Dali. After all, Wang Dali didn't understand these things.

Before heading to the Northeast, Wang Xiaoqiang settled Xia Guifang and her son in Shenzhen, moving them into a villa at Xiangmi Lake.

He also arranged for Little Bao to attend kindergarten.

Once everything was in order, Wang Xiaoqiang took a flight to the Northeast.

Upon arriving in the Northeast, Boss Zhao discussed with Wang Xiaoqiang potential filming locations for the TV drama, saying that the first part of the show would be shot in Wang Xiaoqiang's hometown, Sanmiao Village.

Wang Xiaoqiang had no objections.

Life is all about authenticity, and since the TV drama was autobiographical in nature, it was only natural to film in Wang Xiaoqiang's hometown, which would allow Wang Xiaoqiang to better immerse himself in the role.

Once they had reached an agreement, the film crew, led by Wang Xiaoqiang, arrived in Sanmiao Village from the Northeast.

Sanmiao Village, an ordinary little village, was suddenly abuzz with excitement.

It wasn't just because of Boss Zhao's fame – he was a household name across the country, and there wasn't an old or young villager who didn't recognize him. Even the village idiot laughed with joy when he saw Boss Zhao on TV.

Of course, there was also a group of actors, among them many beautiful women, including the lead actress and supporting actresses. The common folk didn't understand roles like lead or supporting actresses, they just knew they loved a spectacle. The idle men in the village drooled over the sight of the beautiful female actors.

Of course, the most excited person in the village had to be Xia Sanwa, because when Director Zhao was looking for extras in the village, he took a shine to Xia Sanwa. He felt that Xia Sanwa was extremely comical and could play a character in the show, a role originally based on Wang Xiaoqiang's father-in-law. As it happened, Xia Sanwa was indeed Wang Xiaoqiang's own "Marquis", which offered him a sense of relatedness.

The reason Zhao took notice of him was that Xia Sanwa, upon hearing that the film crew was coming to Sanmiao Village to shoot, and that it was Wang Xiaoqiang who had brought them, wanted to join in on the fun. So, he put on a suit, tied a necktie, and donned leather shoes.

He was dressed quite formally, but the problem was that it was the tail end of summer and the weather was still quite hot. Xia Sanwa's attire immediately drew everyone's attention, especially since his country demeanor clashed humorously with the sophisticated suit, amusing everyone in the crew. Thus, inevitably, he caught the eye of Director Zhao.

As a result, Xia Sanwa was fortuitously chosen.

Xia Sanwa never had big dreams in life; his only wish was to appear on TV. When he heard that he could act, he was so thrilled he could not contain himself. He managed to find a bronze gong and ran through the village, striking it while shouting, "I, Xia Sanwa, am going to act! I, Xia Sanwa, am going to act!"

He was like Fan Jin who had passed the imperial exam, excited to the point of temporary madness.

Xia Guifang's mother, upon seeing this, was scared witless and immediately went to find Wang Xiaoqiang.

After hearing what had happened, Wang Xiaoqiang hurriedly found Xia Sanwa. By the time he reached him, Xia Sanwa had indeed gone mad, his hair disheveled, hands flailing, continually shouting, "I, Xia Sanwa, am going to act! I, Xia Sanwa, am going to act..."

A crowd of children surrounded Xia Sanwa, howling with laughter.

Xia Guifang's mother burst into tears and cursed, "Damn this film crew, they're a curse, driving people mad."

Wang Xiaoqiang immediately stepped forward; a stream of Water Element Spiritual Qi flowed into Xia Sanwa's brain. In no time, Xia Sanwa regained his senses and calmed down.

If not for Wang Xiaoqiang, Xia Sanwa might have truly gone insane. (To be continued. If you like this work, please come to Qidian (qidian.com) to vote and support it. Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian.com to continue reading.)
