Superpower Small Farmer

Chapter 449 Hee Saixue

"Little Qiang, I want to have a baby for you." Zheng Shuang made a request that shocked Wang Xiaoqiang.

"No, getting pregnant before marriage will earn you disapproval from others," Wang Xiaoqiang said.

"Then marry me."

"You want me to commit bigamy…" Wang Xiaoqiang was even more shocked.

"I don't care, I want to have your baby," Zheng Shuang stubbornly said.

"What about the factory?"

"Leave the factory to Asou Yoshiko to manage,"

"Can she handle it?"

"Actually, Little Qiang, Asou Yoshiko's abilities are far beyond mine. It's really a waste for her to be just an accountant."

At that moment, Wang Xiaoqiang also remembered that Asou Yoshiko came from a prestigious family in Japan and had managed her family's business before. To put it bluntly, if it were in the past, she would't even give Wang Xiaoqiang's two factories a second look. Of course, if she really managed them, there would definitely be no problem.

"Alright, I'll indulge you."

"Pfft, what do you mean indulge? A child is the fruit of love. With a baby, our love will bear fruit," Zheng Shuang, like an innocent little girl, said; women generally have a lower EQ. That's an indisputable fact.

After finishing their fun in the cornfield, Wang Xiaoqiang returned to the village.

As the film crew was stationed just outside the village by the Shibalih River, Wang Xiaoqiang swung by to have a look and found the female actors cooking.

He didn't see Hee Saixue.

Wang Xiaoqiang asked Director Zhao, who nodded toward a temporary room. Wang Xiaoqiang headed to that room and went inside to find Hee Saixue lying on the bed.

"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?" Wang Xiaoqiang asked.

Hee Saixue nodded, "I feel my heart beating fast and I'm a bit short of breath."

It was Hee Saixue's first time filming an intense scene today and she was so nervous that her heartbeat intensified, and it seemed like it wouldn't slow down.

"Don't always stay cooped up alone, go out for walks more. Also, it's time for dinner. Come eat at my place. The food at the film crew's camp is too awful anyway."

Hee Saixue lazily got up, feeling a bit dizzy and had to sit for a while before eventually standing up and leaving the film crew set with Wang Xiaoqiang.

Concerned about what the others might think, Wang Xiaoqiang said to everyone in the crew, "Anyone else wants to come eat at my house?"

"I will," blurted out a female supporting actress. Upon saying it, when everyone looked at her meaningfully, she quickly caught on, "Uh, I'll go tomorrow."

Seeing that everyone was indeed misunderstanding, Wang Xiaoqiang didn't bother to explain and directly took Hee Saixue home.

Wang Kuishan and his wife warmly welcomed Hee Saixue. Being able to interact with an actress was something Wang Kuishan and his wife would never have dared to dream of, but now it had come true.

Especially when they saw Hee Saixue's snow-white face and little hands, and heard her soft standard Mandarin, the old couple thought that this was definitely a girl from the big city – educated, cultured, and with poise, even a bit better than Little Xu Xiaoya from before.

Because of Hee Saixue's visit, Wang Xiaoqiang asked his distant cousin to cook two more dishes, resulting in a meal of six dishes and one soup... Quite a feast.

Hee Saixue was delicate and had trouble eating well on set. Having not seen appetizing food for a long time, her appetite was immediately stimulated, but even though she was very hungry, she didn't gobble down the food. Instead, she chewed slowly and swallowed gently, maintaining an air of elegance while eating.

After finishing the meal.

Wang Xiaoqiang drove Hee Saixue back to the set.

That night, with no stars or moon, the world was pitch-black, and if it weren't for Wang Xiaoqiang accompanying her, Hee Saixue wouldn't have dared to walk the night road alone. Even with his company, she still felt a bit scared, as she had never walked such a path before, and consequently, she leaned closer to Wang Xiaoqiang.

When they reached the outskirts of the village, suddenly, a dark shadow darted out from a ditch in front of them and scurried past. Hee Saixue let out a scream of fright and immediately clung to Wang Xiaoqiang's embrace.

Wang Xiaoqiang immediately tightened his hold on her.

"Little Qiang, I, I feel like I can't breathe," Hee Saixue murmured softly while allowing Wang Xiaoqiang to hold her. She sounded somewhat weak, breathing rapidly like bellows.

Wang Xiaoqiang, being a Cultivator, of course understood that Hee Saixue likely had an urgent medical condition and immediately transmitted some Spiritual Energy into her body.

Actually, Hee Saixue indeed had a disease, namely myocarditis, which refers to localized or diffuse inflammation of the myocardium caused by various reasons. Although some myocarditis can transition into congestive or restrictive cardiomyopathy at the terminal stages and is regarded by some scholars as a secondary cardiomyopathy, epidemiologically, myocarditis is still a distinguishable disease type. The causes of myocarditis are numerous, including viruses, bacteria, fungi, parasites, immune responses, and physical and chemical factors.

Myocarditis superficially appears due to physical weakness and viral infections, but in reality, psychological factors play a major role. One survey has shown that newly imprisoned criminals are prone to this disease, clearly indicating the significance of psychological factors in myocarditis.

High levels of tension, pessimism, and despair can cause cardiac dysfunction, thereby creating opportunities for viral infections.

Patients with myocarditis should rest in bed to alleviate tissue damage and accelerate recovery. Those with arrhythmias should rest in bed for 2-4 weeks and then gradually increase their activity. Patients with severe myocarditis accompanied by cardiac enlargement should rest for 6 months to a year, until clinical symptoms completely disappear and the heart size returns to normal. Immunossuppressants: The application of steroids is still disputed, but they can be used in severe myocarditis accompanied by atrioventricular block, cardiogenic shock, and heart failure. Prednisone is commonly used, 40-60mg per day, decreasing gradually as the condition improves, over a 6-week course. If necessary, hydrocortisone or dexamethasone can also be used intravenously. Cardiac glycosides, diuretics, and vasodilators may be used for heart failure. The treatment of arrhythmias is the same as for general arrhythmias.

Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that this disease is mostly due to deficiency of heart qi, inadequacy of heart yin, and lack of vitality in heart yang; thus, treatment should nourish the heart, benefit qi, and warm and invigorate heart yang. The following medicinal food therapy prescription can be chosen, or dietary therapy with black chicken Astragalus porridge—using one bottle of black chicken oral liquid, 10g of Astragalus, 50g of rice, and an appropriate amount of sugar. Decoct Astragalus in water to extract the juice; wash the rice and cook it into porridge with sufficient water. When cooked, add the black chicken oral liquid, Astragalus juice, and sugar, and boil for 1-2 minutes. One serving per day, a 7-day course. This can strengthen heart qi and is suitable for myocarditis patients with symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath, spontaneous sweating, and exacerbation upon movement.

Hee Saixue, already physically weak, came to the relatively harsh conditions of the countryside where she couldn't eat or sleep well and had to film during the day, wearing out both body and mind. Moreover, this intense scene made her anxious and added a lot of pressure, leading to myocarditis. If not for meeting Wang Xiaoqiang, it's likely she wouldn't have been able to continue filming and would have had to be hospitalized for rest. Of course, meeting Wang Xiaoqiang and receiving his infusion of Spiritual Energy was more effective than any medicine, immediately repairing her myocardium and restoring her health.

But Hee Saixue had no idea about all this. She only felt that her palpitations disappeared and her breathing stabilized when held by Wang Xiaoqiang. Her body gained strength, and she felt comfortable.

Initially somewhat resistant, she now found herself completely unwilling to leave Wang Xiaoqiang's embrace.

"You're frail, I'll carry you for a while," Wang Xiaoqiang said, then promptly hoisted Hee Saixue's delicate frame onto his shoulder without further ado.

Woo~~

Suddenly, a piercing cry echoed through the quiet night, causing Hee Saixue to shudder involuntarily. She couldn't help asking in a trembling voice, "What, what is that sound..."

"It's a cat," Wang Xiaoqiang answered.

"It sounds somewhat like a baby crying..." Hee Saixue said, unsettled.

"It's not a baby, it's a cat. It's not just crying, it's yowling during the mating season, which is why it sounds so piercing," Wang Xiaoqiang explained.

Females in heat emit shrill cries to attract mates, which is colloquially known as "cats yowling." The calls of male cats are normal vocalizations and not associated with yowling. Once a female reaches sexual maturity, she goes into heat every 14 to 21 days, lasting for 3 to 6 days, with the demand for mating occurring roughly over 2 to 3 days. When in heat, the female becomes docile, enjoys rubbing between people's legs, and sometimes arches its tail, ready to mate with a male; upon seeing a male, it calls out "meow meow" and shows special affection, or plays and chases with the male. If a female in heat is confined indoors, and it hears a male calling, she will furiously scratch at windows and doors, eager to go out, or remain quiet and display tail-raising behavior. Some females become particularly sensitive when in heat, with bright eyes, a reluctance to eat, and wandering around.

The time when females reach sexual maturity varies; some mature as early as 4 or 5 months, while others may not until 1 and a half years old. Many people think their cats are too young, only to be startled when they notice the cat's enlarged belly. Males generally mature later, although some produce sperm as early as 4 or 5 months. However, males require more factors to mate effectively, such as sufficient weight, a high enough social status within the cat community, and psychological readiness. Even if males are physiologically mature, they may not be able to mate successfully.

"What's 'cats yowling?'" Hee Saixue, having grown up in a big city and not fond of keeping small animals, didn't understand much about cats, let alone the phenomenon of cats yowling.

Wang Xiaoqiang didn't expect her to ask such a simple question; he almost wondered if she was teasing him, so he asked, "Do you really want to know..."

"I'm just really curious," Hee Saixue said.
