Superpower Small Farmer

Chapter 600: Lure and Kill

After a fleeting surge of surprise, Wang Xiaoqiang cast that thought aside. If the Corpse Demon did not reappear, then he would have to execute the plan he had in mind, although it seemed excessively cruel and malignant. But aside from this method, he really could not think of any other way.

With that thought, he closed the atlas and put it into the Sumeru, then rode the Patterned Beast, flying to the summit opposite, where the mummified Female Cultivator hung.

Relatively speaking, this peak was rather short, the area at the summit was not large, and the slope of the mountain was not steep.

Wang Xiaoqiang walked around the summit, then moved to the edge of the cliff, overlooking the series of coffins below, finally resting his gaze on the coffin he had just visited and from which he had obtained the atlas, his expression somber, as if lost in thought.

...

Over the next four days, Wang Xiaoqiang rehearsed the Sagittarius Shooting Stance from the atlas while anxiously awaiting the appearance of the Corpse Demon.

Four days passed.

The fifth day.

He waited until the afternoon when the setting sun slanted westward and the yang energy gradually faded, but the Corpse Demon still did not appear.

By then,

the last hope in Wang Xiaoqiang's heart was dashed, and he was forced to carry out the plan he had in mind.

Thus, he rode the Patterned Beast, flying towards the crank of the mountain.

When the Patterned Beast stopped at the center of the mountain crank, just like last time, Wang Xiaoqiang took out the remaining Unicorn from the Sumeru Ring. He suspended it with thirty strands of silken threads, letting it slowly descend.

The exceptionally vigorous Unicorn was not dead yet but appeared very weak at the moment. During the descent, it made intermittent, feeble cries. When its large body touched the ground, the anticipated scenario unfolded.

One by one, Corpse Demons crawled out of the graves exuding a sinister aura.

This time, it attracted no less than hundreds of Corpse Demons.

Then, amidst a series of heart-pounding roars, the Unicorn, completely defenseless, was torn to pieces by over a dozen Corpse Demons using their sharp claws; blood flowed everywhere.

While the Unicorn was being divided, Wang Xiaoqiang took out the other two Three Crows' Feet from the Sumeru Ring, changed his position, and directly threw them down at the Corpse Demons below.

The Corpse Demons were not ordinary; they could predict the danger before the Three Crows' Feet smashed down and dodged swiftly. In the process of avoiding, the abilities of these Corpse Demons immediately became evident.

Some of the Corpse Demons, with a flash, appeared five meters away, clearly using Teleportation. However, those with the ability to Teleport were incredibly rare, one in ten; and some of the Corpse Demons moved like humans walking, their steps sluggish, almost inching away.

Two of the slower Corpse Demons were directly smashed into fragments by the thousand-pound weight of the Three Crows' Feet.

After the casualties, one of the powerful Corpse Demons that had teleported away puckered its lips like a human and whistled sharply.

The whistle was piercing and loud, echoing through the crank of the mountain. Immediately, hundreds more Corpse Demons were attracted.

At that moment, another whistle sounded, calling and responding in concert, instantly causing hundreds more Corpse Demons to emerge from their graves, growling and screeching, the clamor gradually escalating, soaring up to the clouds.

Seeing the timing was right, Wang Xiaoqiang also puckered his lips and emitted a whistle.

Wang Xiaoqiang's whistle was even more piercing and sonorous than that of the Corpse Demons, causing the densely packed Corpse Demons that had swarmed out below to look up, attracted by the sound.

When the void revealed Ling Li, both a beast and a man, they let out angry roars, with some corpse demons' eyes casting a sinister red light. Like people, they pointed their fingers at the sky at the provocateur and shouted loudly, as if saying something.

Seeing this, Wang Xiaoqiang kept whistling nonstop as he rode the Patterned Beast across to the cliff opposite, right up to the coffin where the corpse demon had earlier cried.

Then, with a leap, he jumped onto that coffin, without retracting the Patterned Beast.

The Patterned Beast vibrated mightily in the void. Moved by its master's will, it faced the angry corpse demons below and let out a series of provocative roars.

However, the enraged corpse demons did not come over to attack the provocateur. Instead, from a distance, they looked at the man and beast on the cliff, howling in anger yet helplessly. These corpse demons, though grotesque in appearance, were no less intelligent than humans. Although powerful, they were not skilled at climbing, especially since the intruders included a flying beast. Despite their anger, they were unwilling to waste energy.

Seeing this, Wang Xiaoqiang felt a wave of disappointment.

Suddenly, very annoyed, he flung open the coffin lid and tossed it towards the Patterned Beast.

The Patterned Beast opened its massive mouth, caught the corner of the coffin lid, and then, moved by its master's will, flew halfway up the mountain and dropped the lid down. It then continued to howl provocatively at the corpse demons below.

The corpse demons below, shouting angrily, stirred again but still did not launch an attack. Only one of the corpse demons, breaking from the group, pointed at the young man on the coffin and roared furiously, rapidly charging toward the cliff.

It was the corpse demon that had cried in the coffin.

At this moment, the corpse demons uttered a jumble of sounds, as if trying to dissuade the one that had left the group.

Nevertheless, the corpse demon neither turned back nor stopped, charging towards the foot of the cliff with utmost speed.

Though a second level corpse demon did not have the ability of teleportation, a single leap could cover three meters, so it quickly reached below the cliff. It looked up at Wang Xiaoqiang on the coffin, its face full of rage.

Seeing this scene, Wang Xiaoqiang finally took a long breath. Seeing the corpse demon had chased to the bottom of the cliff and was for the moment unable to climb up, he took the mummified corpse out of the coffin, grabbed it by the neck, and swung it towards the corpse demon below.

The corpse demon's emotions finally collapsed. It entered a frenzied state, clasping its head with both hands and letting out a piercing scream. Then, without a moment's hesitation, its hands, steeped in Corpse Qi, grasped the cliff edges and climbed up rapidly.

...

Seeing the corpse demon climbing after him, Wang Xiaoqiang's heart leaped with excitement. He swung the mummy in his hands like a flag in the wind.

While it climbed, the corpse demon looked up, saw the youth wildly swinging the corpse, and was enraged. Reluctantly expending strength, it further infused its hands with Corpse Qi to speed up its ascent.

Soon, it reached three meters below the coffin.

Wang Xiaoqiang eyed the corpse demon and, seeing the timing was right, moved with his will. The Patterned Beast flew before him, and he jumped onto it.

Sitting firmly on the Patterned Beast, he blew another series of provocative whistles and then, as the climbing corpse demon looked up, Wang Xiaoqiang flung the mummy in his hands. Then, he steered the Patterned Beast toward the mountain summit.

The Patterned Beast, moved by its master's will, flew slowly, still occasionally turning back to the corpse demon with a provocative roar.

Seeing this, the corpse demon grew even more furious, its expression fiercer and more resolute. In desperation, it infused even more Corpse Qi into its hands and furiously climbed toward the summit.

At this moment, the other corpse demons in the mountain pass below emitted a burst of angry howls. However, within the howling, there was also confusion, emotion, and excitement.

Thus, one party provoked while the other angrily pursued. (To be continued. If you like this work, welcome to cast your recommendations and monthly votes on Qidian (qidian.com). Your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian.com to read.)
