That night the two decided to spend one final evening in the cave that Violet once called home. At Luna's insistence Violet transformed back into her humanoid form as was made to test out some of the outfits that she now had on hand. Grumbling at having to wear clothes Violet nevertheless did as Luna suggested and tried out a few outfits until one was found that she actually quite liked.

It was a purple dress that looked to be woven from scales that matched Violet's own scales. It was sleeveless and had a low back to give plenty of space for her wings to fit through and a clever hole in the back for her tail to also fit through. It went to just below her knees and was flowy enough that Violet didn't complain about feeling restricted when she moved.

"I still don't understand why I need to wear clothes in this form! I don't have to wear anything when I'm in my dragon form!" She complained to her companion.

With a flushed face Luna was unable to look into Violet's enchanting eyes. "It's distracting when you aren't wearing anything when you look like this." She softly said.

"Why is it distracting?" Violet asked.

With a deepening flush Luna struggled to come up with an answer before letting out a sigh in resignation. "Because you are really attractive!" As soon as she blurted that out she froze and quickly looked away her ears burning in embarrassment.

Violet for her part was partially confused as to why Luna became so embarrassed by that fact but was still quite pleased that her friend thought so! "Aww you really think so?"

All that Luna managed to squeak out was a quiet "Yes." Before studiously turning back to the fire and the meal that she was cooking.

With a tail that was wagging back and forth in happiness Violet walked over and sat down next to Luna and leaned into her side. Luna stiffened at that contact but quickly relaxed and accepted the contact. After all this is something that they would regularly do so why should she get embarrassed just because she was now in a humanoid form. At least that's what she told herself as she tried to calm her racing heart.

Eventually though diner was severed and Violet finally understood why Luna was so excited over the acquisition of the herbs and spices. The meats that she had previously thought were amazing now tasted bland and boring in comparison to the treat her tastebuds experienced now. And despite her reduced size she still managed to eat double what Luna could. Thankfully Luna had anticipated that she would be hungry and had made plenty of extras.

Eventually with the meal done and night well and truly upon them the two retreated under the furs and blankets. To Luna's great surprise she was swiftly embraced by Violet who was delighted that she could now properly hug her companion as she had been hugged in the past. Luna wanted to say something but feeling the genuine affection and satisfaction that Violet felt she was unable to voice any complaints. And so like that the two eventually fell asleep whilst wrapped up together.

The morning arrived and after a quick breakfast and wash Violet stored her dress and changed back into her draconic form. "Alright so let's go exploring!" Laughing at her companions enthusiasm and glad that she apparently had gotten over her somewhat morose mood from last night Luna hopped up onto her back and together the two set off to the east.

They flew for a number of hours with very little to distract them bar the occasional overly large bird beast that tried to challenge them only to receive either a void bolt or a ice bolt to the face. Past those moments of entertainment they quickly grew somewhat bored. But they still continued without rest until they once again came into view of the large cliffs that denoted the change in environment.

Soaring over the cliffs they landed and made their way into the tree line to find a spot to camp for the night. It was a simple affair and they ran into no foes during that evening and come morning they were once again ready to head off. Now they just had to decide whether they wanted to fly or walk. "I say we should walk, at least for a while. We still haven't properly got used to our new strength and we should find out the average strength of the beasts in this area before we delve deeper." Luna argued.

"But I wanna fly some more." Violet pouted to her, obviously still riding the high that came from being able to fly so freely.

Letting out a sigh Luna proposed a middle ground to the petulant dragon. "Okay how about this. We walk for a while and if we don't find any good foes to fight then we can fly some more?"

Reluctantly Violet agreed to that and so the duo headed off into the woods.

It didn't take them too long to find their first opponent, or to be more accurate it would be their opponent that found them.

As they were walking under a particularly large tree a shadow suddenly detached itself from the branches above them and lunged towards Violet. She reacted quickly diving to the side, but she still received a cut to her side as the shadow came into view. The creature was mostly feline in shape but stood almost the same size as Violet. Its tail ended in a razor sharp point as it swished back and forth behind it. It's black fur rippled atop powerful muscles as it tensed before it once more leapt, only this time it didn't aim for Violet but Luna.

However the spearwoman was ready at this point and countered its attack with a rapid series of strikes with her ice encased spear. The beast somehow managed to avoid all but one of her strikes and that one was only a glancing blow. Luna found that she had to leap backwards to avoid the rapid claw strike that was aimed at her head. As the beast landed back on all 4 legs a spear of void was launched forwards aiming to impale it yet the creature once again dodged out of the way showcasing its incredible agility.

Luna dove back in when she saw the beast dodge hoping to catch it off guard but had to quickly change her thrust into a block as the whip like tail suddenly flew in her direction and impacted her hasty guard to send her stumbling backwards.

The beast then vanished from where it stood only to appear to Violet's side and lash out with its claws. Not one to be such up on twice she blocked it with a shield and whipped her own tail out to counter attack.

SMACK!

Her tail connected and sent the beast sprawling through the air only to be impacted with a spear of ice into its hind leg midair bringing it to a sudden stop accompanied by its yowl of pain. It tried to stand quickly once it landed but it was clearly dazed and injured from the successful strikes, our two companions did not let that opportunity go to waste.

Luna dashed forward and unleashed another multi strike aiming for its front legs this time to truly halt its mobility whilst Violet appeared by its side with a burst of magic and lashed out with her void encased claws towards its face.

The beasts tail lashed out to try and counter Violet's claw and was mostly successful, at least until her claws cut right through its tail severing the sharp end, but it was successful in diverting the strike which landed on the ground next to its head. Luna however managed to strike true and landed 3 successful strikes to its front led causing it to yowl once more in pain as it collapsed to the ground. But its pained cry was swiftly cut off when Violet's jaw descended and latched onto the back of its neck and bit down.

CRUNCH!

With her powerful bite the beast neck was broken and it collapsed to the ground dead.

Huffing at the shirt but brutal battle Luna looked up at Violet and spoke with a grin on her lips. "So was that a good enough fight to want to stay on the ground then?"

Snorting in amusement the dragon only nodded.
