The place was filled with tension; fear whirled around the arena. Dust loomed around, and thuds echoed across the arena as kids were punched to the walls and punches were squashing the students' cheeks.
The professor received the words from Akirion and quickly turned his body, running to go and fetch the sword. He got tripped by the clear ground and landed on his two hands, but he didn't stop running. He stood up and continued, his mind and heart set on fetching the sword fast before many lives got destroyed.
His footsteps thudded along the tunnels as he ran with all his speed. His chest was burning, but he couldn't give himself a second to think about it; the top priority quest was to save the students through the hero Akirion.
Meanwhile, students continued flying in the air like fireworks. Blood stained the pure grounds as a lot of students spat blood. They couldn't even get a chance to defend themselves since the monster was so fast that they couldn't see it until they saw someone flying after a punch noise echoed.
Astonishment was lurking around the grounds, many kids standing with their vibrating legs, while some of them collapsed as fear and shivers lowered down their spines.
Akirion stepped in, his eyes narrowed, rage blazing in his eyes. He took a deep breath while he widely opened his eyes.
"Hey, you guys! Stand up and make your magic powers a bit useful. Don't stand there like a leafless tree, and hurry up already." A ray of hope flashed in everyone's faces; their surprised faces glowed with mischief as they received motivating words from Akirion, the school's hero.
Their eyes widened, and fear faded in their faces as their mouths opened in excitement.
Akirion's voice was like magic; everyone who was vibrating in fear got back to their tracks.
They got ready to fight; the remaining students posed in a martial art posing style as they faced the monster. Their hands started glowing with many different types of magic. Some used fire, water, wind, earth, and nature.
The monster stopped its attack and faced the kids, who were standing in a C shape, ready to make their magic powers useful.
"Good, that's something you are supposed to be doing, not shaking before you get in a fight with it! So, buckle up, face it, it's always ready for you, aim at it, and don't give it a chance to breathe." Akirion said while walking behind the other students, with his hands behind his back as he looked forward for a fight.
'Ohh God, I'm feeling super good; I feel like I'm a teacher! And we are supposed to finish this thing; we are not supposed to be scared of it, right, Akirion, the school's hero? I don't even like the title.' Akirion silently said, his eyes glaring at the monster that was turning its back, looking at the students who were ready to fire their trusted shots.
For a second, the monster got some chills that lowered down its body. Fear approached its rock-looking skin as it faced a lot of students ready to fire at it.
Akirion closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Suddenly, his voice boomed as he said, "FIRE!"
'The school's hero is in command, huh? Okay, that's good for you, Akirion. I guess I'll have to follow your orders.' Lucas silently said, his eyes flashing with rage as he shot a lot of fireballs at the monster.
The students got shot exactly at the monster, and a massive explosion occurred! Different types of magic powers hit the monster, and a huge cloud of smoke eloped from the ground.
Suddenly, a rock was seen, and a monster was nowhere to be seen. Gasps flooded the ground as they got surprised. They thought maybe the monster turned into a rock since it got shot by a lot of attacks and different types of magic.
Suddenly, the rock dissolved, leaving the monster standing, its bluish eyes pointed at Akirion, who was on the right side of the C shape that was made by his schoolmates.
"Crap, it's looking at me!" Akirion said with his voice low, glaring back at the monster with a corner of his eyes.
It flashily went for Akirion as it realized that he can be the strongest, and after his words, everyone gained energy just from nowhere. So it thought of attacking Akirion first and then finishing up with the others.
The monster remained silent; its two blue eyes flashed as it charged towards Akirion. Akirion disappeared from where he was standing and found his way away.
It reached the spot and hit the air as it missed Akirion, who appeared behind it.
Gasps scattered, the students surprised by his sudden move.
It started to look around, unknowing that Akirion was right behind it.
"Looking for me?" Akirion asked a question that was filled with mockery and honesty.
It quickly turned its head and met with a fireball that blasted its face. It got turned on while the anger blazed before its eyes.
It made the same attack and missed Akirion. It was more like they were playing hide-and-seek since Akirion kept disappearing in front of its face. It received a lot of fireballs from Akirion until he got shot down in his stomach and made an impactful landing.
"Damn, this thing has a real harsh punch, ouch!" Akirion screamed in pain as it swam across his stomach, his hands clutching his stomach while coughing. Gasp whirled over the stage; Lucas's eyes widened as he looked at Akirion, who was screaming in pain.
'Ohh really, the hero is down. What can a sidekick do in a dire situation like this? I guess there is nothing I can do, just watch him scream in pain maybe, because there's nothing I can do.' Lucas said, hope fading in his mind.
The monster grinned, its yellowish-white teeth sparkled in the whirling darkness as it looked at Akirion, who had his legs bent, his eyes widened, and pain crawling around his body.
"Do you need a hand?" A familiar voice boomed on top of the lying-down Akirion.
