Hunting MILFs in a Trash Eroge

Chapter 69: Elite Card

The village chief's eyes widened, his pupils dilating until they nearly swallowed the color around them.

His mouth opened and closed several times, but not a single sound managed to escape.

His entire body trembled, the wrinkles on his face deepening in disbelief.

A unique class… here, in their small village? It was unheard of!

In the decades he had spent as the chief, he had never once seen a crystal shine that color.

His gaze darted from the still-glowing crystal to Damien, then back again, his thoughts spinning wildly.

Damien, on the other hand, stood perfectly calm before the crystal. His posture was relaxed, his breathing steady, his eyes clear and cold.

It was quite ironic—he was the one who had just awakened a class, yet it was the chief beside the crystal who seemed far more shaken than he was.

While the chief's hands trembled and his face paled, Damien simply stared at the fading orange glow with quiet composure. His lips pressed into a faint, almost knowing line.

Because unlike everyone else here… he already knew.

He had known his class even before it appeared on the crystal for everyone to see.

Just seconds after that blinding orange light had erupted, a familiar chime had echoed in his mind.

[Class Awakening Successful!]

[Class: Spellblade]

[Description: A powerful class that lets you imbue your weapons and any other thing with magic.]

[Innate Class Skills Awakening…]

[Elemental Control (A-rank)]

[Ability to freely conjure, control, and manipulate any element as long as you have enough mana.]

Damien's lips curled slightly, as he read the notifications.

'So it's as I expected,' he thought. 'I awakened a powerful class… and even got an A-rank skill on top of it.'

From the description of the skill alone, he could understand how powerful and absurd it was.

With this skill, he could freely conjure and control all the elements in the world. Every single one of them.

Fire. Water. Wind. Earth. Lightning.

Those were the five elements, the building block of magic itself.

Those who awakened the Mage class—a rare class coveted by countless people—were usually attuned to one of these five elements.

But no mage, no matter how talented, had ever been known to master all of them.

It was simply impossible.

Each person's mana resonated differently—some burned with heat, others flowed like water or coursed with electricity.

A mage's affinity determined which element they could use, and it was fixed at the moment of awakening.

Even prodigies could only wield two elements at most, and that alone was considered miraculous.

If a fire mage tried to use lightning or earth skills, their mana wouldn't flow properly, and they wouldn't be able to display the full power of the skill.

That was the natural law of elemental affinity.

But Damien's new skill broke that law completely.

With Elemental Control, affinity no longer mattered.

He could conjure fire and lightning, water and earth, and mold them however he pleased—so long as he had enough mana to sustain them.

A faint hum of excitement stirred in his chest, though his outward expression remained cool. He wasn't one to lose composure easily.

Still, deep down, he couldn't deny the quiet thrill crawling beneath his calm exterior.

He finally reminded his hand from the surface of the crystal, but the orange glow lingered for a few seconds, as if unwilling to fade from existence.

The entire crowd stood frozen in stunned silence, their gazes fixed on him. Not a soul moved. Not a single word was spoken. It was as though the entire village had forgotten how to breathe.

The chief's mouth twitched slightly, his eyes trembling with disbelief as he looked from the dull crystal to Damien's calm face.

The youth's expression was steady, composed, utterly unfazed by the monumental event that had just occurred.

While everyone else was lost in awe, Damien's thoughts remained sharp.

Apart from the class, he was beyond what the world could measure.

Unlike every other person here who was bound solely by the limits of their awakened class, he wasn't.

He had something else.

The System.

It was his greatest advantage—one that existed beyond the understanding of this world.

His class abilities, no matter how powerful, were just the beginning. Through the system, he could go further, pushing his limits infinitely.

He could purchase any skill he wanted from the system shop using the Hunter Points he earned. Whether it was a sword skill, a mage skill, nothing was truly out of his reach.

Suddenly, a new notification unfolded before his eyes.

[Hidden Quest "Awaken Your Class" Completed!]

[Reward Granted: +5000 Hunter Points]

'Five thousand points,' he thought. 'Not bad at all.'

He wasn't surprised at the notification.

After being with the system for a while, he had already learnt that crossing some certain 'milestones' were sure to trigger this hidden quest rewards.

One of them was when he first purchased from the system shop, getting the inventory as a reward.

Yet, while Damien's mind was calm and collected, the same couldn't be said for those around him.

Even though his hand was no longer touching the crystal, the crowd remained absolutely still.

The villagers' eyes were wide, their mouths agape. Mothers clutched their children's hands a little tighter, elders whispered among themselves in disbelief, and the other youths stared at him with a mixture of envy and awe.

But of them all, the one who looked the most shaken — almost sick—was the village chief himself.

His entire body trembled, sweat trickling down his temples as his mind spiraled in chaos.

His lips parted, his eyes darting over Damien's face again and again as if trying to find an explanation that made sense.

'No… no, this can't be right.'

Though Damien now looked very different from how he used to, he still knew exactly who he was.

'Isn't he…' the chief muttered under his breath, his face twitching violently, '…the son of those two useless women?'

Out of everyone here, out of all the talented, and hopeful youths who had dreamed of awakening a powerful class… it was this boy?

Him?

The child from that cursed family? The one whose household was whispered about in disgust across the entire village?

He could barely keep the rage from twisting his face.

'How… how could trash like him awaken a unique class?!' he thought, clenching his jaws tightly to the point his gums ached.

He wanted to believe it was some kind of trick. Some mistake. Something that could be explained away.

However, he knew better than anyone that the crystal didn't lie. Its results were absolute.

And the orange light… that brilliance could never be faked.

The crowd's whispers finally began to rise again, soft at first, then louder as disbelief turned into astonishment.

"Did you see that? Orange light—he really awakened a unique class!"

"Impossible… he's the son of those… witches, isn't he?"

"Maybe it's a mistake… maybe the crystal—"

"No! The chief himself saw it! That light was real!"

Every word cut deeper into the chief's mind, each whisper driving another nail of humiliation into his pride.

Brad's failure, his own embarrassment, the years of trying to maintain dignity as chief — all of it now stood mocked by fate.

And the cruelest part of it all was that the one basking in glory now was from that wretched family he had always looked down on.

'Why… why him? Why will trash like this awaken a unique class while my son only awakened a common one?!'

His heart thudded painfully in his chest, every beat filled with seething resentment.

He had sacrificed so much — spent his savings, risked his reputation, even debased himself before the knight general in hopes of earning her favor.

And yet, all of that effort had brought him nothing but shame, while this boy, this nobody, was suddenly standing in a light that should've belonged to someone else.

To make things worse, the class Damien awakened was one special even among unique classes.

He wanted to shout. To tear the crystal apart and demand an explanation. But all he could do was stand there, trembling in silence, his face pale and ugly beneath the shadow of his failure.

While he was still wallowing bitterly in his thoughts, the woman beside him suddenly moved towards Damien.

Her eyes narrowed at him, and a strange glint flickered in her gaze.

'I didn't expect… to witness a unique class awakening in this small village.' she thought, her assessment of Damien immediately rising up a notch.

She pulled out a golden card from her pocket, passing it to Damien with a cold expression.

"Have this kid, we'll be expecting you… at Evergreen Spire academy." she said.

Damien's eyes widened at her words, and he looked down at the card in her hands, trying hard not to take a glimpse at her wide hips of thick thighs.

It was extremely difficult, but he managed it, using the annoyance he felt to fuel his desire to grow stronger.

Besides, he easily recognised the card that was being stretched to him.

It was none other than the elite card of evergreen spire academy!

That meant she was handing him a straight ticket into the top rankings of the academy.

Elite students were different from normal students in the academy, and were treated with honor and prestige.

Apart from that, a basic requirement to be an elite student in the academy was to at least awaken a rare class.

The ranks were mostly filled with children of nobles and powerful figures within the kingdom.

However, what mainly intrigued Damien about the elite ranks was the fact that… the main character in the eroge was also a part of them!
