Ling Zhenfei's words prompted several people to stand up, and Ling Zhenfei chose the driver at the front.
The driver brought the car over, and the three of them got in.
The place Ling Zhenfei headed was naturally the airport, but not long after getting in the car, Xiao Yun called.
Ling Zhenfei answered the phone, and Xiao Yun said, "There's no direct flight from Tangcheng to Arab; you can only transfer at Capital City or Modu."
This was something Ling Zhenfei should have anticipated. Tangcheng isn't a big city, and it doesn't offer as many international flights as Capital City and Modu.
Ling Zhenfei asked, "If going to Modu, when is the earliest flight?"
Xiao Yun was checking the flight information at the time, looked and said, "The earliest flight is at 1:30 PM."
Ling Zhenfei said, "Alright, let's take that flight. You can help us book the tickets, but don't book now. Try to book at the last moment to make sure no one sees our information."
Xiao Yun said, "Don't worry, after all, this is my company's airport in Tangcheng. I can handle this."
After hanging up the phone, Ling Zhenfei felt a bit unsure because the flight was after 1 PM, and leaving now seemed a bit too early.
Ling Zhenfei thought for a moment and said, "Driver, please take us to Tangcheng Hospital."
The driver nodded and drove toward Tangcheng Hospital.
Ling Zhenfei was a bit worried, so he expanded his divine sense to the maximum, anxious about being tailed along the way.
The car hadn't gone far before Ling Zhenfei sensed several cars behaving suspiciously.
What Ling Zhenfei referred to as suspicious were cars carrying some skilled practitioners of Northern Spiritual Energy.
Similarly, these experts were using Northern Spiritual Energy to locate Ling Zhenfei and his companions.
Luckily, Ling Zhenfei possessed a Concealment Pill, making it difficult for ordinary people to trace his whereabouts.
The reason Ling Zhenfei had the driver turn toward the hospital was because he noticed several cars heading in the airport's direction.
If Ling Zhenfei kept heading towards the airport, he would eventually be on the same path as them, which would inevitably expose him.
Since there was still time, Ling Zhenfei decided to take a few detours to avoid trouble.
The car headed towards Tangcheng Hospital, a place familiar to Ling Zhenfei since he treated people there before.
But not long into the journey, Ling Zhenfei detected a problem when he noticed a car trailing them from a distance.
Startled, Ling Zhenfei asked the driver to speed up, but the car chasing them was incredibly fast, and despite the driver's best efforts, they were caught up.
It was a very sleek car, obviously high-end, with wide glass indicating its luxury.
The two cars were now side by side, and while others might not understand the situation, Ling Zhenfei did. Through the tinted glass, he could see people inside.
Among them, Ling Zhenfei clearly recognized Prince Hahn, accompanied by faces he had seen before—none were easy to deal with.
Right then, Prince Hahn was looking at Ling Zhenfei, possibly watching him as well.
Hahn held a cigarette in his mouth, then removed it, pointing at Ling Zhenfei through the glass.
That gesture made Ling Zhenfei realize Hahn was aware that Ling Zhenfei was watching him too.
Running seemed out of the question now; getting out of the situation might prove even trickier.
After examining his surroundings, Ling Zhenfei noticed a fortuitous fork in the road ahead.
By now, the other car had passed the taxi, aiming to block it from the front.
Ling Zhenfei said, "Driver, turn off the main road at the fork ahead."
The driver obediently complied and turned the car.
After the turn, their cars took separate routes, but Ling Zhenfei knew they would certainly catch up again.
Ling Zhenfei instructed, "Driver, please pull over."
The driver, unsure what Ling Zhenfei intended, nonetheless brought the car to the roadside.
Ling Zhenfei stepped out, approached the driver, and said, "Driver, you can go ahead and take them; you don't need to wait for me."
The driver was somewhat shocked, and Emelin, in the rear, was also taken aback but quickly grasped Ling Zhenfei's meaning.
Ling Zhenfei nodded at her to signal everything, and Emelin said, "Take care."
The car continued onward while Ling Zhenfei stayed on the road, waiting for the inevitable approach of the other vehicle.
Soon enough, that car came toward Ling Zhenfei and stopped not far from him.
The car door opened, and Hahn stepped out.
Two skilled practitioners dressed in black stood beside Hahn; Ling Zhenfei had seen them before and had been puzzled why they worked loyally for Hahn.
Upon seeing Ling Zhenfei, Hahn smiled, approached slightly, and said, "Mr. Ling, good to see you again. It's truly delightful."
Ling Zhenfei replied, "I'm honored as well."
Hahn maintained his charming demeanor—young, wealthy, good-looking, an enviable person indeed.
Hahn said, "Mr. Ling, I once asked you in Capital City whether you'd seen Emelin and Mustafa, and you seemed to say you hadn't."
Ling Zhenfei replied, "Indeed, I hadn't seen them then."
Hahn chuckled and said, "Aren't you inclined to tell the truth even now?"
Ling Zhenfei replied, "I hadn't seen them then, but it doesn't mean I haven't now."
Hahn said, "That's quite an explanation, but it's evident now that you side with Emelin. It seems you've been deceived by her sweet words and appearance."
Ling Zhenfei paused and asked, "What do you mean?"
Hahn stated plainly, "Simply put, you've been tricked by Emelin; otherwise, why would you be siding with her?"
Ling Zhenfei listened, puzzled, asking, "What did she deceive me about?"
Hahn replied, "She's probably deceived you about everything, including her identity or the reason for seeking treatment, even fabricating things I've said."
Ling Zhenfei was genuinely taken aback; he always thought Hahn was quite decent.
This person seemed flawless in speech, action, and demeanor.
If not for Emelin calling Hahn a shameless scoundrel, Ling Zhenfei's impression of Hahn was rather positive.
Now Hahn claimed Emelin was the deceiver, leaving Ling Zhenfei a bit bewildered.
Ling Zhenfei said, "I'm quite fond of stories; after hearing one version, I'm curious about the other. Does Prince Hahn care to tell me this tale?"
Prince Hahn nodded and said, "Certainly, if you don't mind, I'd be happy to chat, though it's unfortunate that Emelin is getting farther away."
