The police officer said, "Do you take us for fools? So many people came to attack you, yet they're the ones beaten so badly. None of you are leaving."
The police officer pointed at He Kun and said, "You, come here, still wearing a mask and glasses, how arrogant can you be."
As he spoke, two police officers reached out to grab He Kun.
He Kun instinctively dodged backward, avoiding the officers' grasp.
"What are you doing? I wasn't fighting with them earlier; you have no right to arrest me."
The two officers were surprised when they failed to catch He Kun, and one of them got angry and said, "You didn't fight, but people are saying you did, so it's too late for explanations."
He Kun said, "You can't just believe everything others say."
The officer said to He Kun, "The victims have all identified you. What else can you say? Come with us obediently."
He Kun said, "What if I refuse?"
At this point, the officers surrounded him, saying, "Don't resist law enforcement violently, boy. You know the consequences of that."
Ling Zhenfei was taken aback, unsure of how things had turned out this way.
He still couldn't tell if these were real police officers or fake ones, and whether this was part of their conspiracy, or what their true intentions were.
He Kun was certainly also in shock, not expecting everyone to point fingers at him.
Ling Zhenfei realized those hooligans all pointed at him. That must mean this was part of their plan. But what exactly were they daring to do?
Ling Zhenfei said, "He Kun, just let them arrest you. Let's see what plans these people have next."
After Ling Zhenfei finished speaking, He Kun understood and said to the officers, "Fine, I'll go to the station with you for an investigation.
But I hope you really uphold justice and prove my innocence."
The two officers immediately restrained He Kun.
"Stop talking nonsense, we'll get to the bottom of it at the station."
At that moment, one officer spoke into a radio, "Command Center, this is 0533, please respond."
The radio crackled back, "0533, this is Command Center, go ahead."
The officer said, "We just had a mass brawl here, and we've got the situation under control, but due to the large number of people, we request backup."
"Command Center received, dispatching personnel to your location."
Hearing this, Ling Zhenfei felt a twinge of realization. Could these really be police officers? This was getting interesting.
Standing on the rooftop watching everything unfold, Ling Zhenfei still didn't know what the other party was actually up to.
First it was a group of hooligans, now it's the police, who knows what's next.
At this point, the officers made everyone squat on the ground, since there were so many people, everyone crouched in the small square. One officer with a gun looked ready to shoot at any moment.
Zhou Jian and the others were also dragged over, squatting with the hooligans.
And He Kun, who everyone pointed at, naturally had it the worst. He was placed right in the center, making escape nearly impossible.
One specific officer was tasked with watching He Kun, in case he tried anything.
Suddenly, a hooligan said to the officer, "Officer, this kid has a weapon, he hit us several times."
Of course, he was talking about He Kun, and Ling Zhenfei realized the kid's objective was to get searched.
The purpose of the body search was simple—to confiscate everything on him, including any magical treasures he might have.
But fortunately, the person inside was He Kun. Two officers searched him very thoroughly.
Even the necklace He Kun wore around his neck was taken off.
Bear in mind, the jewelry many cultivators wear is often not just ordinary; it could have storage spaces or other functions.
Knowing Ling Zhenfei was watching from the side, He Kun did not object. His glasses were also taken off.
The officer took everything from He Kun and asked, "What's your name?"
He Kun replied, "My name is Ling Zhenfei."
The officer looked at He Kun twice, clearly a bit skeptical.
"Are you sure your name is Ling Zhenfei?"
He Kun chuckled and said, "Officer, you must be joking, I do know my own name."
The officer said no more and just had them all sit still.
It wasn't long before more officers arrived, and a very large vehicle pulled up at the entrance, ready to take them all.
Zhou Jian and the hooligans boarded the big vehicle, but He Kun was taken to another one.
Afterward, the vehicles drove off into the distance, with Ling Zhenfei hurriedly following.
It turned out this place wasn't the final destination, which explains why all the Northern Spiritual Energy had vanished.
The people had originally been in the building opposite the small square, likely just observing to see if Ling Zhenfei would show up.
Once Ling Zhenfei appeared, they knew the plan was in motion and left ahead of time.
But Ling Zhenfei still couldn't figure out how these people were connected to the police.
Ling Zhenfei randomly found a car on the roadside and followed He Kun's police car.
Since He Kun's phone had been confiscated, he had no idea what He Kun might be saying to the police officers now.
The police cars moved together, with He Kun's car at the end, and Ling Zhenfei followed from behind.
Initially, that police car was headed in the same direction as the others, but after a while, it abruptly changed course, taking a different road.
Ling Zhenfei was startled, knowing this was indeed part of their plot. Would He Kun be alright in there?
Ling Zhenfei projected his soul to the farthest edge, entering the police car ahead.
The police officer was chatting with He Kun.
But the conversation was trivial, just simple questions for He Kun. Knowing He Kun was safe, Ling Zhenfei was reassured.
That police car left the convoy, only driving for a minute before suddenly entering a construction site.
This was an abandoned site with not a soul in sight.
He Kun also sensed something wasn't right and asked the officers, "Why drive here?"
The two officers didn't say anything; by now, the vehicle had already come to a stop.
Ling Zhenfei, unable to drive his car inside, waited from a distance.
When Ling Zhenfei reached the construction site, the two officers had already stepped out of the police car.
"Ling Zhenfei, you can come out now."
Though he knew it was all a scheme, He Kun still got out. If you're going to act, you act thoroughly. Feigning surprise, He Kun said, "What are you doing?"
