Martial Arts Master in the City

Chapter 1349: Hurry Up

Ye Xiao laughed and said, "What does it have to do with us? Didn't you hear the police are coming? Let's hurry and leave to avoid trouble."

Huo Wensong initially thought Ye Xiao and Lu Liang were acquaintances, but upon hearing Ye Xiao's words, he began to doubt. It seemed Ye Xiao and Lu Liang didn't know each other, and the Lu Liang before him might very well be someone he had offended at some point.

Since Huo Wensong was notoriously known as the most famous playboy in the Northern Territory, he certainly did many things that playboys would do, naturally leading to quite a few enemies.

Nowadays, people fear not the thief stealing but the thief thinking about stealing. Many have come to seek vengeance on Huo Wensong before, so he didn't particularly connect Ye Xiao with the opportunistic person standing before him.

Moreover, in Huo Wensong's view, Ye Xiao was essentially a weak man requiring a woman's protection, as Ye Xiao might not even be a Martial Artist.

Wang Luoxin heard Ye Xiao's words and immediately giggled, turning to glance at Huo Wensong, saying, "In the future, don't flirt with beauties all the time; you never know which rose has thorns!"

"Damn!" Huo Wensong was instantly furious upon hearing Wang Luoxin's words, especially since there were several underlings present. Wang Luoxin was clearly taunting him, but despite being ridiculed, he was helpless, as he couldn't beat Wang Luoxin, plain and simple.

After Wang Luoxin finished speaking, she directly grabbed Ye Xiao and ran, yet Ye Xiao deliberately slowed down, not using True Qi. In contrast, Wang Luoxin complained while running, "Honey, you're too slow, hurry up."

"Do you think I'm you!" Ye Xiao replied, panting heavily.

Seeing Ye Xiao, Huo Wensong became even more certain that Ye Xiao was not a Martial Artist, as a Martial Artist would never tire and run so slowly.

At that moment, Huo Wensong's focus shifted to Lu Liang because Huo Wensong realized Lu Liang had already killed two of his bodyguards. If he allowed Lu Liang to eliminate a third, Lu Liang's next target would undoubtedly be himself. Understanding the principle of mutual dependence, Huo Wensong roared and charged directly at Lu Liang.

Lu Liang knew his own abilities well. He came today with the purpose of killing Huo Wensong. However, after engaging with Huo Wensong's subordinates, he realized Huo Wensong's bodyguards weren't ordinary. Although he managed to kill those two bodyguards, Lu Liang knew why. So when Huo Wensong also charged forward, he hesitated, wondering if he should continue fighting.

Huo Wensong's strength was far below that of Lu Liang, but his sudden participation added burden to Lu Liang, shifting the initially balanced fight into a disadvantage.

At this point, the police rushed in, quite a few of them, with three leading the charge, and more evidently following.

Understanding that his mission to kill Huo Wensong had utterly failed, Lu Liang decided not to linger in battle, as losing his life meant losing everything. Aligning with Ye Xiao was about survival, especially at the moment.

With a furious roar, Lu Liang lunged at Huo Wensong, striking him with a ferocious Heart Piercing Palm, but Huo Wensong dared not confront it bodily. Lu Liang's speed was unmatched, making evasion impossible, so Huo Wensong mustered True Qi, using his arm to block.

"Ah!" As Huo Wensong's arm collided with Lu Liang, there was a crack, followed by a loud scream from Huo Wensong.

Simultaneously, one of Huo Wensong's men approached, delivering a punch to Lu Liang's back.

The blow sent Lu Liang tumbling, making him feel weightless, then crashing heavily on the ground, blood spewing from his mouth.

Ordinarily, the bodyguard should have seized this chance to kill Lu Liang, but Huo Wensong's agonizing wails forced him to prioritize checking Huo Wensong's injuries.

Due to this, Lu Liang took advantage of the situation, enduring pain as he leapt up, quickly vanishing, leaving the ordinary people and police stunned!

They had seen martial arts films before, but such scenes were only witnessed in martial arts movies.

Meanwhile, Huo Wensong continued wailing, and the police had come precisely to protect Young Master Huo, hastening to his side.

At this time, Huo Wensong's bodyguard touched the injured area, recognizing a dislocation, and said to Huo Wensong, "Young Master, brace yourself."

Upon finishing, the bodyguard applied force, producing another crack, followed by Huo Wensong's agonized scream.

"How's Young Master Huo doing now?" a policeman's leader inquired.

"Rely on you guys, and people are already dead." Huo Wensong glared at the police leader, eyes bloodshot, angrily retorted.

Anyone else would have incited the leader's fury, but who was standing before him? The illustrious Young Master Huo, none dared provoke him.

"Young Master Huo, we'll proceed to pursue them now."

Huo Wensong ignored them entirely because those individuals were Martial Artists, capturing them with the current police was implausible. So he stood, assisted by his men, and left directly.

Elsewhere, after escaping, Lu Liang, blood streaking his mouth, felt his organs had shifted, inadequately described by "a turbulent sea."

Yet upon escaping, a shadow suddenly flashed before him, prompting Lu Liang to strike, though the fist was caught by that person.

Focusing his gaze, Lu Liang saw the person wasn't anybody else but Ye Xiao himself.

Recognizing Ye Xiao, Lu Liang quickly said, "Brother Xiao, sorry. I didn't complete the task."

Ye Xiao, smiling at Lu Liang, showed no blame, instead responding humbly, "I want living brothers, not dead ones."

Lu Liang, puzzled by Ye Xiao's words, quickly understood their meaning and responded, "Brother Xiao!"

Though heavily wounded, Lu Liang was unable to speak more than two words, following which he coughed repeatedly, even coughing up blood.
