The location of the door in that room of Rainbow Bar is extremely hidden, so normally people wouldn't pay attention to it. As for what's inside that door, no one knows. Of course, when mentioning 'people' here, it naturally refers to ordinary folk.
However, there are still a few who accidentally caught sight of it. Inside isn't a room, but a staircase. Naturally, even those who happened to see it wouldn't mention it, given that this is Rainbow Bar, a place so notorious throughout Han City that no one dares to cause trouble.
"What did you say? Martial Artists attacking the stronghold?" said a man with a typical Yan Country accent, looking at the spectacled man before him.
The spectacled man nodded, saying, "Indeed, recently the number of Martial Artists has surged in Han City. Not sure which faction they're from, but it's curious how they know that location is our stronghold. Should we report this to Mr. Max?"
The person faced by the spectacled man was named Chu Chao, a native of the Northern Territory. Nonetheless, he was also a Soul Sect Disciple and one of Max's trusted aides, responsible for defending one of the four main strongholds of the Soul Sect in Han City.
The spectacled man was his subordinate. Though he had proposed it, Chu Chao too considered this matter. Back then, Max made him the leader of this main stronghold recognizing his abilities. If every time something happens, he runs to Max for help, what would Max think of him in the future?
"Let's wait!" Chu Chao said.
The spectacled man, Fujimiyama Jin, looked at Chu Chao with a face full of confusion and asked, "Mr. Chu, aren't you planning to report this?"
Chu Chao looked at Fujimiyama Jin, a Witch. Of course, within the Soul Sect, there's no notion of nationality; the only concept is loyalty to the Soul Sect. Yet, as someone born in Yan Country and now on Yan Country's territory, Chu Chao naturally has his own opinions.
"It's not that I don't intend to report this matter, rather this isn't a major issue," Chu Chao said to Fujimiyama Jin, "Don't treat everything as a big deal. Judging by your report, the other side doesn't seem to be overwhelmed, right?"
"Those attacking the stronghold are few. Currently, they can still manage over there," Fujimiyama Jin, despite disagreeing with Chu Chao's approach, and feeling frustrated that Chu Chao always keeps him beneath, could only answer truthfully.
Chu Chao chuckled, "In that case, it indicates one thing: these people are insignificant, at least if I intervene, they become insignificant, so there's no need to bother Mr. Max. Besides, you should know what time it is now."
Upon hearing this, Fujimiyama Jin furrowed his brow but then chose to remain silent, not wanting to say anything further. Chu Chao is his superior, carrying far more responsibility. If anything goes wrong due to Chu Chao's actions this time, the blame would fall on Chu Chao.
The Soul Sect has an unwritten rule: when expanding territory in any country, they typically appoint disciples from that country as leaders. However, core leadership still requires core personnel of the Soul Sect, like Max.
Fujimiyama Jin was quite displeased with this because he once sought to move to Beihai but was denied. Instead, he's been stuck in Yan Country, and has never been entrusted with significant responsibilities.
The reasoning is fairly straightforward. Yan Country people greatly resist Beihai people, so having Beihai people lead here wouldn't easily facilitate expansion.
Yet, rules are static; exceptions exist if someone is exceptionally capable.
Thus, Fujimiyama Jin is like a wolf at Chu Chao's side, always looking for an opportunity to replace him.
"What Mr. Chu said makes sense. Fujimiyama will heed Mr. Chu," Fujimiyama Jin said with a smile.
Chu Chao watched Fujimiyama Jin's smiling expression, feeling something insincere about it but realizing he had no evidence to confront him, so he said, "You stay here. I'll take them over to check."
"Mr. Chu, should I stay?" Fujimiyama Jin immediately responded, "Even though my cultivation isn't great, I can still lend a hand, can't I?"
To the Soul Sect Disciples, these times are opportune for making achievements. Fujimiyama Jin was indeed reluctant to stay, weary of being cooped up. If an opportunity to stretch his limbs presents itself, he's certainly desirous.
Chu Chao understood Fujimiyama Jin's little unrest, earnestly saying, "Fujimiyama, I know you're devoted to the Soul Sect, but as my deputy here, you're second in command. If I leave and you leave too, what if someone occupies here? This place is of tremendous importance, and entrusting it to others really unsettles me."
Listening to Chu Chao's words, Fujimiyama Jin was seething inside but felt helpless.
Nonetheless, neither Chu Chao nor Fujimiyama Jin anticipated that their petty contest inadvertently granted Fujimiyama Jin a chance at survival.
Although the other side can still manage, to prevent any casualties to the Soul Sect Disciples, Chu Chao swiftly departed with his subordinates, simultaneously ordering another affiliate stronghold to provide immediate support.
Executing an overwhelming strike against the enemy, albeit a mobilization of forces, minimizes casualties and renders the enemy powerless.
The seldom-used door opened and five individuals emerged, promptly locking the door behind them.
Inside Rainbow Bar, voices echoed with chaotic liveliness, completely oblivious to the few who exited that room.
Chu Chao led four others quickly preparing to leave Rainbow Bar, yet as he was about to reach the exit, he suddenly felt the presence of eyes fixed on him. Consequently, Chu Chao turned his head, peering into a corner, finding nothing but emptiness.
Chu Chao found it strange but didn't dwell on it, dismissing it as mere illusion.
They rapidly departed Rainbow Bar.
Meanwhile, as Chu Chao and his team left Rainbow Bar, a pair of smiling eyes surfaced in a corner of the bar, subsequently vanishing without a trace, so stealthy that none even noticed the owner of those eyes.
