Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven

Chapter 196: Waves Shifting

He turned around and saw two women. His wife Nimue and Ursela. Nimue was looking at him with a raised eyebrow and her arms were folded on her chest.

Before he could say anything he was disturbed by Ursela's shrieking voice. " This place is so ugly, old man did you make this?"

He looked at his beautiful master piece of a mountain range then turned to her. " Yes I did what of it!"

" It's just so unsightly." He didn't know what to say to that so he just kept quiet. Ursela created rain over the mountain range.

Nimue made a drop of green liquid and dropped it below. When it touched the ground, grass and flowers bloomed.

The entire mountain range turned green and smelled of flowers and wet grass, it had lost it former scent of stone.

He sighed, they ruined his master piece but what could he say about it. Nimue suddenly turned serious.

" The situation is grimmer than we expected." He looked at her and waited for her to continue.

" A lot of our cities have fallen and I heard the humans aren't doing much better." She said. Ursela interjected.

" At least the humans are being enslaved. They don't leave any of our own alive, not even the children." Her voice was shaking with rage.

Then they turned to him. " You killing one of their leaders will send a message that they aren't invincible.

Whether the results will be positive or not is yet to be known."

----------------------------------------------------------

As expected, the news of a projection realm orc and his entire army falling spread like forest fire.

The news reached the ears of the beasts and humans alike. The denizens of earth celebrated as one.

Regardless of which race the one who defeated the orc came from, it was all their victory.

This sparked a flame of resistance. The humans and beasts resisted and fought harder.

They fell in thousands yet continued to struggle, then a month later, 6 more projection realm orcs fell. 5 taken out by Novak and three of the ocean lords including Ursela, the last one by Linglong.

Although recently broken through and unable to use her image and essence, it didn't matter.

She was a true dragon, she had more physical strength than an orc of the same rank could ever hope for.

Using only her body, she defeated and killed an orc leader, this further boosted the morale of the beast race.

Spiritual beasts were not a large race, they existed in every world but in smaller numbers.

Normally they would not be stronger than demonic beasts, weaker even, only relying on their strong bodies and innate abilities.

However once a spiritual beast finds a compatible lineage, they become a nightmare to deal with.

Defeating a spiritual beast of the same rank and grade that has a lineage was incredibly hard.

Which is why although fewer, they were a feared race across the universe. The only reason other races dared to hunt them is because they lack unity.

They believed in the survival of the fittest, killing a young spiritual beast doesn't necessarily mean their elder would take revenge for them.

However the orcs made a mistake this time, multiple even. One they didn't think there would be so many projection realm experts on this world.

Two, they assumed the spiritual beasts of this world were the same as others. Divided and each looking out for themselves.

And they were paying for their foolish assumptions. After the death of a few projection realm orcs.

The spiritual beast's morale soared. Led by projection realm experts of their own, they fought back against the orcs finally pushing them back.

Of the 12 initial projection realm orcs, only 5 remained. Those five gathered and held a meeting.

The strongest of them sat at the head of the table. His face had a constant scowl, he was assigned the leader of this first invasion army by the Boragg.

The series of recent failures was a stain to his reputation. He couldn't report such failures to the Boragg, not without having something to give.

He got agitated and anxious to conquer this world but he knew he couldn't easily defeat a spiritual beast with a lineage that also has the same grade as him.

Not to mention, they were outnumbered now. No matter how much he wrecked his brain, he couldn't think of anything.

" Those useless fools, dying in such a lowly place, useless, all of them." He grumbled. Then looked at the others.

Although he was the assigned leader and strongest orc here, they didn't fear him. Orcs don't shy away from battle.

Had it not been for the Boragg making him the leader, they would've challenged his position every single day until they either all die or one of them defeat him.

Then that one would also be challenged everyday. Lost in his thoughts, he was suddenly awoken by a softer voice.

He looked up at the only female orc here. Although just as weak as other female orcs physically, her mental strength was insanely high.

Female orcs had physical strength lower than their male counterparts and their mental strength didn't reach the level of other races.

They could be considered jacks of all trades but master of none. Because of that, they were usually the weaker party.

However there were exceptions amongst them like this orc and the Boraggal who were born with mental strength that could rival that of an average elf.

Combined with physical strength superior to that of races like elves, they were very strong, strong enough to threaten male orcs and highly respected despite being females.

This female was smart and he trusted her. He looked at her and waited for her to speak. She cleared her throat.

" What if we bring in more armies." He sighed, he had expected a good idea from her, how disappointing.

" Hear me out." She continued. " We can't alert the Boragg or the Boraggal of this, so obviously we can't open the gates to the main world.

However as projection realm experts, we each have our own domains in the world we were assigned to, armies and slaves too.

What if we bring them here instead." It was true. Manifestation realm experts could rule an entire world and sometimes there were even two experts in one world.

However worlds were very vast, they couldn't rule them all by themselves so they give territories to their subordinates who are projecting realm orcs to manage.

He himself owned a vast domain stretching hundreds of thousands of kilometres, filled with billions of slaves, he had an army of slaves over 6 billion strong.

If he brought them here, there was a chance of victory and he could wash away the stain of his failure silently.

What none of them noticed was the small smile on her lips which disappeared a split second later.
