Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven

Chapter 223: Valid Threat

He closed his eyes and felt his will placed on the nuclear bombs placed amongst the cities.

He could detonate them with only a thought killing millions but he didn't. At least not to all of them.

He needed to send a message they will all understand and what better way to do that than to target the three most infamous races.

He felt pity for the spiritual beasts who will have to die but he shoved it down. It was a sacrifice he had to make.

" Boom." He whispered.

----------------------------------------------------------

In the city of Rakalam, the three projection realm rulers were chatting with each other, the topic being the foolishness of the beasts who thought they could threaten them.

Then they suddenly felt a spike in temperature.

" Huh!"

"Huh!"

"Huh?"

Three voices exclaimed simultaneously but it was too late. Blue blinded their eyes and a calamitous explosion followed.

Blue flames rose to the sky like raging dragons lighting up the night sky. They spread out like a cloud consuming everything on their path.

The Ahnunaki screamed in fear and panic but the blazing cloud of death consumed them nonetheless.

Their bodies and bones turned to dust. By the time the projection realm Ahnunaki intervened it was already too late.

The entire city had turned into a gaping hole deep enough to sink mountains. Close to ten thousand Ahnunaki died.

In the entire city, only the three rulers and 4 other projection realm Ahnunaki survived. Alalum looked at the destruction below him with cold eyes.

However the others could see his shoulders vibrating, a sign he was extremely enraged. They all knew not to anger him further in this state.

Even the other two leaders didn't want to deal with him when he was like this. However they too were furious.

They had never thought the beast king would actually do this. The disrespect made them want to skin him alive and use his hide as a rug.

" Send word back home, tell them we need a new army, a stronger army." Alalum told one of the 4 other Ahnunaki, the one that had black skin like his.

The man bowed and left. The other two also ordered members from their clans. The Ahnunaki were preparing for war.

However they weren't the only ones, the Nephilim faced the same thing. Fortunately for them their leader was able to act fast enough.

He managed to save around a thousand of his people which was around 10 percent of the city population.

Unfortunately they lost one of their projection realm experts. They had lost two projection realm members so far.

They couldn't handle the humiliation any longer. The leader swore he would personally rip the beast king to shreds.

The elves also lost their city. Unfortunately they reacted even slower than Ahnunaki. The entire city except a few projection realms died.

They even lost three projection realm and the dark elf that fought Ved had lost an arm. That's because he tried to save one of the projection realm experts.

A friend of his he had known since childhood. He had feelings for her and she died before he could confess.

Death was something people like them always expected and had accepted that it could happen at any time.

However he still never expected her to die in a such a world. His anger shook the air as the smell of burning iron filled the sky.

The three races were fuming, killing the beast king was the only thing on their minds. News of what happened spread.

When it reached the ears of others it sent a wave of fear through the entire world. Ironically humans who were originally from earth felt excited.

At first they thought they would live better under the rule of the empire but their lives got worse instead, at least for most.

For some it never changed. They still remained sex slaves of the nobles, punching bags for when those who are powerful are bored.

Servants who can get killed on a whim and nobody would even seek justice for them. Hearing the king of beast can effectively threaten these people gave them hope.

They had completely forgotten they betrayed the beasts the first time they received help.

It wasn't long before messages of a temporary truce were sent to Ved. He read them with a mocking grin.

He wasn't going to let them off so easily, they had hunted and tormented his people for far too long.

They would first need to release all the spiritual beasts they have enslaved, unharmed.

Then pay reparations for the damage they have caused. He knew that powerful empires and races would not be willing to simply give in.

However this period of time was enough for him to infiltrate more cities and plant more bombs there.

By then he would have all the leverage over them unless they were willing to risk everything.

Or perhaps place dozens of projection realm experts to constantly watch every inch of the cities.

' Damn.' now that he thought about it, they can possibly do that. He learnt the Eternal Dawn Empire alone span multiple galaxies.

It had over a hundred thousand life worlds under it rule. The number of projection realms they have is probably in the thousands of even tens of thousands.

If they were serious about it, he knew they can easily crush his little kingdom. However from the memories he got from the humans.

The empire wasn't without it issues, it faces multiple enemies from different directions. It bordered the Ahnunaki on one side.

And faced a a world crack on another meaning they were the first to deal with the void beasts from that direction.

He doubted they could afford to spare manpower for a small world such as his. So he had a little confidence.

The ones who made him anxious were the Nephilim, they were erratic and extremely arrogant.

They might just be willing to spare manpower to crush him, even at the risk of opening themselves up to an attack from the void beasts.
