Apocalypse: My Talent Is Infinite

Chapter 81: Human Dao Lord

"What? That human?" Princess Zina shot to her feet, disbelief written all over her face.

"Yes, Your Highness," the messenger said, still kneeling. "The Zulcan took him into the Death Arena, and… there's been no change since then."

Zina's golden eyes widened. "You mean to tell me that human actually grasped a Law?"

The words hung in the air, heavier than the silence that followed. Zina's mind spinning.

The image of Aron flashed in her head, that human who had barely withstood a fraction of her spiritual power.

That same man was now said to have grasped a Law? The most sought-after power in the entire universe?

Legends spoke of the Dao, a mythical state where one could bend Mana itself into existence, shaping elements and phenomena through sheer will.

It was something people spent lifetimes chasing, usually without success.

"I wouldn't dare lie to Your Highness," the man said, forehead pressed firmly to the ground.

Princess Zina couldn't sit still. Her thoughts spun in circles.

(Was he pretending? Some kind of ploy?)

She'd never thought much of Aron to begin with, he was human, after all.

She hadn't even bothered learning his name.

The only reason she'd saved him was because of his superior constitution, far beyond any other human she had ever encountered.

At the time, she assumed he must be an important figure among the humans, someone she could use to build goodwill with them.

Her plan was simple: save him, make him feel indebted, then secure an alliance that would help her fight for the throne.

Humans were often labeled as weak, relying too much on external power.

But Zina didn't see it that way. Strength was strength, no matter how it was obtained.

And besides, humans had something no one could ignore, sheer numbers.

Sending Aron to the training camp had been a calculated move.

By spending her own resources on him, she could make him owe her a debt he couldn't repay.

Even if he wasn't useful for diplomacy, his body refinement talent alone made him valuable.

Given enough time and resources, she believed he could reach the Bone Refinement Realm within a hundred years, a level comparable to Foundation Establishment.

With that kind of progress, Aron could have become a strong pillar for her cause.

But now… this changed everything.

Now that he had grasped a Dao? His worth had skyrocketed beyond anything she imagined.

Zina began pacing, her heartbeat thundering in her ears.

If i could comprehend the Dao myself, i wouldn't need allies or backing at all. The throne would be mine.

Because in the end, all power struggles came down to one thing, strength.

Her lips curled into a determined smile.

"He's mine. After all… I saved his life."

She spun on her heel. "Prepare the horses. Ready the army. We leave at once!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!"

---

A man sat cross-legged atop a calm pond, his upper body bare, his muscles defined yet smooth.

Countless scars, sword marks and burn lines, decorated his skin like war medals.

His breathing was slow and steady.

A faint film of Mana shimmered beneath him, allowing him to sit perfectly still atop the water's surface.

Every ripple of the pond moved in sync with the energy he controlled.

A soldier hurried into the courtyard, stopping at the edge of the water before dropping to one knee.

"Crown Prince," the man said between breaths, "Princess Zina has brought in a human who, according to reports, hasn't even begun cultivation, but has somehow grasped a Law..."

Before the man could finish, a gust of wind brushed past him.

The Crown Prince, who had been meditating moments ago, was suddenly standing right before him.

His eyes were half-lidded, his expression cold and unreadable.

"Assemble my army," he said quietly. "We set out in five minutes."

The messenger's body tensed, as he swallowed hard, bowing even lower. "Y-Yes, Your Highness!"

He didn't dare speak another word. As he hurriedly left.

---

"Glory to the King of Titans!"

"Glory to him!"

Two voices thundered in unison as the massive throne hall's doors creaked open with a heavy Craaak...!

A young man, no more than eighteen, strode in, wearing a crown adorned with a small ruby pulsing like a living heart.

With every beat, the gem glowed faintly, casting an eerie light across his face.

His golden robes shimmered with luxury, and the two guards flanking him exuded enough killing intent to make grown men tremble.

The moment he entered, everyone seated along both sides of the hall stood up.

One by one, they bowed as he passed, the weight of his authority pressing down like a storm.

He reached a throne carved entirely from skulls, a flag bearing the symbol of waves hanging behind it.

As he sat down, the guards moved silently behind him, their gazes fixed on the assembly.

"Begin," the King ordered, his voice filled with effortless authority.

One of the ministers stepped forward immediately.

"Your Majesty, it has come to our notice that Princess Zina has come into contact with a human who has grasped a Dao Law."

The King remained motionless, expression unreadable.

The minister continued, voice growing fervent. "While others are busy chasing the human who supposedly comprehended a Dao without cultivation, they fail to ask the obvious question, how? How can someone who hasn't even begun the path of cultivation achieve what even Saints cannot?"

He looked around, eyes burning with paranoia.

"Your Majesty, we believe this is no coincidence. The humans and witches must have joined forces to undermine our empire! The Zulcans' recent aggression, clearly witch handiwork, and now Princess Zina has taken in a so called human Dao Lord? It's a plot! A trap meant to divide our empire and plunge us into chaos!"!"

He bowed deeply, voice trembling with passion. "If we do not act now, the humans will become another thorn in our side, just like the witches."

The King sat in thoughtful silence, fingers drumming against the armrest of his bone throne.

Finally, he spoke. "...So what do you propose?"

The minister bowed again. "Your Majesty, I speak for all when I say, we must either subjugate the humans… or wipe them out."

The hall fell silent, then slowly filled with murmurs of agreement. Heads nodded.

The King closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them again, his gaze glinting with cold resolve.

"Very well," he said simply. "Prepare the decree. Send word to both the witches and the humans."
