"And a group of half-hearted Supremes want to capture the five of us. It's nothing more than wishful thinking!"
The Ghost Supreme Callum's laughter echoed through the night sky, indulgent and arrogant, carrying undisguised contempt.
"Seeking death!" Malrik roared, killing intent erupting violently.
"Brother, there's no need to waste words on them," Arza said coldly from the side, brows knitted with impatience.
"The Blood Marquis is already unruly. There's no point persuading him to surrender."
"That's right," Enzo Vernal said in his sharp, eerie voice. Just hearing it made one instinctively uncomfortable, unable to tell whether the speaker was male or female.
"Arza and Malrik, the two of you stop the Ghost Supreme Callum together."
His eyes narrowed.
"I'll lead the others to deal with the ferocious beast Uga and the remaining two. As long as we defeat those three first, even if the Blood Marquis and Callum are heaven-defying, they won't be able to turn the tide."
"Mm." Malrik nodded.
He lifted his gaze, staring straight at the Blood Marquis.
"Blood Marquis, since you insist on dragging your people into hell, then we'll simply grant your wish."
His voice dropped.
"Everyone—take action!"
No more hesitation.
In an instant, more than twenty Supreme-level experts exploded outward like dazzling fireworks. Streams of light tore through the sky, instantly surrounding the five defenders at the core.
The night trembled.
"Blood Marquis," Enzo Vernal said coldly, locking his gaze onto Asher, "I've long heard that you possess extraordinary talent, able to fight across realms as easily as eating and drinking. Today, I've come to ask for your guidance."
"Shut up, you dog," the Blood Marquis replied lazily.
"Your voice makes my skin crawl."
"Huh?" Enzo Vernal's face twisted, expression stiffening like a blooming chrysanthemum frozen mid-flower.
"Junior, you are courting death!"
As his words fell, a three-foot-long sword appeared in his hand. Sword intent surged violently, pressure crashing down like a collapsing mountain range.
"Since you know my name," Asher said calmly, "then you should know how the title 'Blood Marquis' was earned."
He brushed dust from his white robes.
As the wind swept past, countless dense blood-red inscriptions hidden within the fabric revealed themselves, flashing violently in Enzo Vernal's pupils.
"Haha…" Enzo Vernal sneered, no longer speaking.
"Tonight," Asher continued softly, "I'll add another Supreme's name to these robes."
Killing intent erupted.
A blood-colored sword condensed in the Blood Marquis's hand. He slowly raised it, pointing the blade directly at Enzo Vernal's brow.
Whoosh—
A shadow flashed.
Ghost Supreme Callum appeared in front of Asher.
"Old thing," Callum said calmly, staring at Enzo Vernal, "your opponent is me."
He tilted his head slightly, giving Asher a meaningful glance.
The Blood Marquis instantly understood.
The best arrangement was clear.
He would face Malrik and Arza alone.
Callum would take Enzo Vernal.
Although Callum's realm was higher, his techniques required time to unfold. One against two would be disadvantageous for him. Enzo Vernal was the correct choice.
"I'll spare you for now," Asher said mockingly, then vanished, reappearing directly before Malrik and Arza.
He smiled faintly.
"Are you siblings coming one by one," he asked leisurely, "or together?"
The arrogance was blatant.
Malrik and Arza exchanged a glance, then nodded simultaneously.
Together.
They weren't fools.
The Blood Marquis had only just entered the late stage of Upper Supreme, yet his combat power rivaled that of a peak Upper Supreme. Facing him alone would be courting death.
"Hmph. Move!"
Malrik gave the order.
The battlefield split instantly.
Three killing zones formed in the night sky.
Ghost Supreme Callum versus Enzo Vernal.
Blood Marquis versus Malrik and Arza.
And on the third front—
Erevan, Master of Shadow Moon Tower, and Seris of the Illusion Dream Sect, both late-stage Intermediate Supremes, led the charge against Uga and Talker Latham.
"Leave these two to me," Latham said calmly, stepping forward and blocking Erevan and Seris.
"The rest are yours."
He smiled faintly.
"You two—let me be your opponent tonight."
They were all natives of Noble Sun City. No introductions were needed.
Erevan and Seris exchanged a glance, then nodded.
Latham was stronger than either of them individually. Facing him required cooperation.
"Talker Latham," Erevan said coldly, eyes sharp, "Myriad Treasure Pavilion shouldn't interfere in this matter."
"The same words," Latham replied indifferently, "are returned to you both."
"Then there's nothing more to say," Erevan declared.
Boom!
Ice-attribute spiritual energy exploded outward, freezing the air instantly.
Seris, dressed in a flowing purple gauze dress, her figure graceful yet lethal, stepped forward as well. Her aura surged like an illusory dream realm descending.
"Talker Latham," she said softly, "you may be strong—but you won't stop the two of us."
Without further words, the two attacked simultaneously.
"Bring it on!"
Latham laughed loudly. Wind-attribute spiritual energy surged violently, forming roaring currents as the three collided head-on.
Elsewhere, Uga had already chosen her opponents.
Four Supremes surrounded her, including Carlos Vernal and Drake Supreme.
"You ferocious beast," Carlos Vernal snarled, fists clenched, "I'll repay you for the humiliation of being captured!"
Drake Supreme laughed lewdly, eyes roaming over Uga's figure.
"With the four of us, capturing you is guaranteed," he said greedily.
"I only hope the guardian is kind enough to hand you over to me first. I've never tasted such a beautiful beast."
Uga's eyes turned icy.
"Haha," she said coldly, "come then. I'll cut off your life tonight—and make sure you never stand again."
"Haha! Such a temper. I like it!"
Drake Supreme laughed loudly, then waved his hand.
The four attacked simultaneously.
Meanwhile, Mira of the Crazy Blade Mercenary Group was already deep in combat.
Her situation was the most relaxed.
Though outnumbered, her opponents were merely Inferior Supremes. As a late-stage Intermediate Supreme, she cut through them like wheat, her blade leaving streaks of cold light in the air.
In an instant—
The entire battlefield erupted.
Light clashed with light.
spiritual energy collided with spiritual energy.
The night sky burned brighter than day.
Noble Sun City shook violently as if struck by a massive earthquake. Buildings crumbled further, formations shattered and reformed, and space itself fractured repeatedly—splitting apart like fragile tofu before stitching itself back together under the pressure of the heavens.
