Chapter 452

"It is even more difficult for physical cultivation to transform the power within the body into divine power."

Kale's voice was low, almost hoarse.

"Because physical cultivators must first refine their essence and blood into Original Power, then further temper it into divine power."

"That man is only at the Intermediate Supreme realm. He has endured just two Supreme Tribulations… yet he has already condensed divine power."

Kale let out a long breath, as if exhaling the weight crushing his chest.

"That alone is enough to prove how terrifying his talent and comprehension are."

"In the history of the mainland, there have been people who managed to condense divine power after only two baptisms of the Great Dao."

"But every single one of them was a peerless existence that astonished an entire era."

Silence followed.

Kale's understanding of Ethan deepened into something close to fear.

"Damn it…"

Aemon's body trembled violently, veins bulging across his neck.

"How can a tiny place like Skyreach Territory hide such a monstrous genius?!"

He clenched his fists so tightly that blood seeped from his palms.

Not only could he not suppress that man—he could not even compare to him.

Talent. Strength.

He lost on every front.

"Not good!"

Kale's expression suddenly changed.

Aemon's heart skipped a beat.

"What's wrong?"

"What he left in your body isn't just sword intent," Kale said grimly.

"There's also a mental mark."

Aemon's pupils shrank violently.

"A tracking mark."

Kale's voice grew cold.

"We can't stay here."

"We can't wait for John."

"What if Elder John escapes and can't find us?" Aemon asked, forcing down panic.

Kale shook his head.

"That man has already condensed divine power. His true combat strength may rival an Ultimate Supreme."

"Elder John can't escape him."

The conclusion was brutal and absolute.

"Damn it!"

Aemon roared, his chest heaving.

"When we return to Infinite Beast Gate, we must find a way to go to Azure Origin Dao Sect and kill that bastard!"

"That's natural," Kale replied coldly.

"If he isn't eliminated, he'll become a catastrophic threat to our Infinite Beast Sect."

"We still have a chance while he hasn't truly reached the Ultimate Supreme realm."

"But if he survives more Supreme Tribulations…"

Kale paused, his eyes dark.

"His divine power will become complete. His combat strength may rival a Perfect Supreme."

"By then… who beneath the Emperor Realm could stand against him?"

The implication was suffocating.

Kale could already foresee it—if Ethan lived, Infinite Beast Sect would face annihilation sooner or later.

"Let's go."

Aemon endured the tearing pain in his arm and forced himself to stand.

But—

"It's too late to leave now"

A cold voice echoed across the land.

Both of them looked up simultaneously.

A torrent of fire pierced the sky like a falling meteor, tearing through clouds and space alike.

"Retreat!"

Kale shouted.

He shoved Aemon backward, his hands forming seals at blinding speed.

"The Great Sky-Tail Scorpion appears!"

Space cracked open.

A massive shadow descended.

A gigantic long-tailed scorpion emerged, its body dark and ferocious, its tail nearly ten meters long.

When it swung, violent winds screamed across the land.

Purple-black poisonous mist billowed outward.

Wherever it touched, vegetation withered instantly, turning brittle and black.

"Block that attack!"

Kale roared.

Green wood-attribute spiritual energy erupted from his body like a flood.

Thick, ancient tree roots burst from the ground, intertwining and condensing into a massive wooden shield.

At the same time, the Great Sky-Tail Scorpion raised its tail, releasing terrifying energy.

Poisonous mist condensed, forming a second defensive barrier.

Boom—!

The stream of flames slammed into the poisonous barrier.

Zila—Zila—!

The poison evaporated instantly under the overwhelming spiritual flames.

Wood attribute.

Poison attribute.

Both were completely suppressed.

In just a few breaths, the scorpion's defense shattered.

The fireball smashed into the wooden shield like a meteor.

For a brief moment, the shield resisted—

Then it was pierced clean through.

Bang!

The remaining force surged toward Kale.

Kale roared and pushed forward with both palms, burning his remaining strength.

Green light flared violently as he was forced backward dozens of feet, carving deep ravines into the earth.

Sand and stone exploded everywhere.

Huff—!

Kale gasped, his face deathly pale.

He had nearly exhausted himself.

As the flames dispersed, his pupils suddenly contracted.

Inside the fireball—

Was a person.

John.

His body was charred black, flesh torn and burned, with only his eyes and teeth still reflecting light.

Kale's heart plunged into the abyss.

That attack…

Ethan had used John as a projectile.

Wrapped him in spiritual flames and hurled him like a weapon.

Just such a casual strike had nearly broken him.

There was no possibility of battle.

John's chest rose weakly.

"Mr… Kale…"

"Young… Master…"

"Run…"

His voice trembled, barely audible.

"He might be… the Ultimate… Supreme…"

Aemon's face drained of all color.

"I'll… stop him…"

John forced himself upright, blood pouring from his mouth.

"You must… live…"

"This is my last strength."

With the last flicker of life, he shoved Aemon and Kale away.

His broken body surged toward Ethan, eyes blazing with resolve.

"Explode—!"

John roared, arms spread wide.

Nothing happened.

He froze.

His consciousness sank inward.

His spiritual energy was sealed completely.

"Trying to self-destruct?"

Ethan's calm voice echoed.

"Too naive."

John's eyes widened.

The final breath left his body.

He fell from the sky like a kite with its string cut.

"Elder John!"

Aemon screamed, eyes bloodshot as he rushed forward towards the falling corpse.

"Burst."

Ethan spoke softly.

Bang—!

John's body detonated midair, turning into a cloud of blood mist.

The violent shockwave blasted Aemon away, sending him flying as blood sprayed from his mouth.

Seeing this, Kale leapt forward, his expression twisted.

"Great Sky-Tail Scorpion!"

"Stop that guy!"

He shouted, desperation bleeding into his voice.

The Great Sky-Tail Scorpion screeched, its massive tail swinging as it charged forward.

Its enormous body surged through the air, blocking out the sky and the sun.
