Chapter 507

In this case, Luca decided he would give Kara a hard situation.

When Kara heard his words, her brows knitted even tighter.

Disgust flickered openly across her face.

She had no interest in Luca.

None.

And it was absolutely impossible for her to become his woman.

Silence stretched for a few breaths.

Then Kara took a long, steady breath.

Luca saw this and smiled inwardly, pride swelling in his chest.

She's giving in.

He had expected resistance—tears, anger, maybe a sharp refusal. But after he revealed his leverage, she went quiet.

Too quiet.

So that's all there is to you, Luca thought, a hint of disappointment rising. Just another woman who knows when to bow her head.

In his mind, Kara was already relegated to a concubine—kept for novelty, discarded when the interest faded.

"Have you thought it through?" Luca asked lazily.

Kara raised her head.

Her eyes were cold.

"Your Highness the Holy Son," she said slowly, each word heavy, "I've told you many times. Don't call me by my name."

"We're not familiar."

"And I don't like you."

Her words struck like blades.

"You want the Sage Token?" she continued, voice sharp.

"Fine."

She slammed a jade token onto the table.

The sound rang crisply through the hall.

"I'll give you the Sage Token."

Then she turned around and walked away without looking back.

Luca froze.

For a brief moment, his mind went blank.

This reaction was far beyond his expectations.

But then—

He laughed.

He casually picked up the Sage Token, storing it away as he rose to his feet. His gaze lingered on Kara's departing figure—black dress outlining her voluptuous, proud silhouette.

"Yes… this is better," Luca murmured inwardly.

"If you were that easy, I'd have already lost interest."

The fire that had dimmed flared again.

"Kara," Luca said softly, his voice carrying across the hall, "one Sage Token may not be enough."

"I'll summon the other Demon Sect representatives shortly. We'll discuss the ownership of the last Sage Token in your possession."

His tone hardened.

"Your Black Demon Sect is the weakest among the sects."

"You're not qualified to hold it."

"Prepare to go home."

The words were sent directly through mental transmission.

Kara stopped midway up the stairs.

Her shoulders stiffened.

She turned her head slowly, eyes blazing with fury.

"Luca," she said coldly, "don't go too far."

"Too far?" Luca laughed lightly.

"You're not qualified to judge my decisions."

With that, he turned and strode out of the inn.

Before leaving, his gaze flicked upward.

On the third floor, the Third Elder of the Black Demon Sect stood silently.

Their eyes met.

The bronze mirror in the Third Elder's hand shimmered faintly.

He nodded.

Kara watched the exchange, her heart sinking.

She clenched her teeth and walked quickly to the third floor.

"Who was that just now?" the Third Elder asked, smiling—a twisted, knowing smile.

"Go ahead," Kara sneered. "Laugh if you want."

"You have a bronze mirror too. Don't tell me you don't know who he was."

She turned and pushed open her door.

"…."

The Third Elder didn't reply.

He only smiled more brightly.

Then he turned and began walking downstairs.

"Third Elder," Kara called coldly, "where are you going?"

"The Holy Son has summoned me," he replied without turning back.

"I must obey."

He stopped and glanced over his shoulder, eyes filled with mockery.

"Does the Sect Master intend to stop me?"

Kara said nothing.

She snorted coldly and slammed her door shut.

On the first floor, Ethan narrowed his eyes, watching the scene unfold.

"A fine show," he muttered, rising slowly from his seat.

He had overheard everything.

The Holy Son of the Heavenly Demon Sect hadn't come merely for Kara.

His true aim was obvious.

The master and disciple.

He wanted to drag them both under his wing—no, into his grasp.

Ethan clicked his tongue softly.

"He wants to eat the master–disciple rice bowl."

Kara was indeed a rare beauty—arguably even more striking than Lyralei.

But the two were completely different.

Kara, was an arrogant little rich woman—proud, sharp, and difficult to tame.

Ethan's thoughts shifted quickly.

"There are quite a few Sage Tokens among these Blackspire Mountain demons."

"I need to get one."

Blackspire Mountain and Skyreach Territory were mortal enemies.

Azure Origin Dao Sect sat right on the border.

If the elite of Blackspire Mountain entered the secret realm together—

And fell there—

It would be a devastating blow.

Unfortunately, Blue-Wave City was not the place to act.

Too many eyes.

Too many restraints.

"The Training Trial Secret Realm…" Ethan's lips curved faintly.

"That's the perfect place to kill and steal."

He turned and walked upstairs.

"Tonight," he thought calmly, "I'll meet the Black Demon Sect's sect master first."

Outside the inn, in a narrow alley.

The Third Elder hurried forward.

At the alley's end, Luca stood with his hands behind his back.

"Elian of the Black Demon Sect greets the Holy Son," the Third Elder said, cupping his hands respectfully.

"No need for formalities," Luca replied.

"I summoned you for a task."

Elian's eyes lit up slightly. "Please instruct me."

"Keep an eye on Kara and her disciple," Luca said casually.

"Find a way to give this to them."

He tossed over a small purple bottle.

Elian caught it instinctively.

"What is this?" he asked.

"Something you shouldn't ask about," Luca replied calmly.

"Just do as I say."

Elian hesitated, then nodded. "I'll try. But Kara is always cautious…"

"Do your best," Luca said.

"When it's done, I'll give you a Sage Token and personally take you into the Training Trial Secret Realm."

Elian's eyes shone with uncontrollable excitement.

"I will not disappoint you!"

He paused, then asked carefully, "But… there's something I don't understand."

"Speak."

"With your strength, Holy Son, how could Kara possibly resist you?"

"If you forced it… how would they dare refuse?"

Luca smiled.

A dark, chilling smile.

"Compared to forcing them," he said softly, "I prefer watching them sink slowly."

"Desperation tastes better when it ferments."

He glanced sideways at Elian.

"Don't you think so?"

Elian nodded quickly. "I understand."

Luca tilted his head slightly, eyes narrowing with amusement.

"Still," he added, "I'm curious."

"I targeted your sect master openly."

"You didn't refuse. You cooperated."

He smiled faintly.
