Garion stepped forward as the doors slid open with a soft mechanical sound.
Inside, the place looked exactly like what he imagined.
Smooth white walls, glowing floor panels, shining metal beams, and lights that brightened automatically as they walked in.
Raviel and Rendric followed behind him, their expressions shifting from confusion to disbelief.
"What… what is this place?" Raviel muttered, his eyes looking around.
Rendric frowned, squinting at the glowing floor. "Are we… still inside the same city? How can something like this even exist?"
Garion chuckled softly.
"Of course it is. You can consider it to be a special training facility designed to bring out the best out of people training here."
They slowly walked down the main hallway, their footsteps echoing softly.
To their left was a glass room filled with strange equipment. There were metal racks, benches, and heavy bars.
Raviel tilted his head. "Are those weapons? Or… training tools?"
Garion laughed, shaking his head.
"No, those are weights. They are tools used for strengthening your body. You lift them to train your muscles."
Rendric stared blankly. "Lift them? On purpose?"
Garion nodded. "Exactly. The heavier, the better."
Raviel gave a half-smile. "You're telling me people come here and pay to suffer?"
Garion grinned. "That's right. Pain brings growth."
They walked further, passing through another glass wall revealing a bright, steamy room filled with stone benches.
Rendric pointed. "And what's this one? The plank was written as 'sauna'?"
Garion nodded again. "That's for recovery. It helps the body relax after intense training. Heat loosens the muscles and makes healing faster."
Raviel crossed his arms. "Hmm. I see. So you make them sweat twice. Once during training and once afterward. Smart."
Garion smirked. "Exactly. Efficient use of effort."
They turned the corner and found another area filled with wooden partitions, a small indoor pool with mist rising, and crystal tubes on the wall releasing cold vapor.
Raviel stepped closer. "And this?"
Garion looked back. "That's the recovery zone, the ice baths. It cools down the body and balances internal energy."
Rendric looked overwhelmed. "You really built all this… from that small glowing core?"
Garion nodded casually. "Yeah. Everything's included. Locker rooms, spas, showers, even a small bar."
Raviel blinked. "A bar?"
Garion smiled faintly. "A healthy bar with protein shakes and energy food. You won't find alcohol here, Patriarch."
Raviel sighed dramatically. "A bar without wine? What a waste."
Garion chuckled. "You'll change your mind once you try my special shake, the [Demonic Protein Shake]."
Raviel raised an eyebrow. "That name doesn't sound like something safe to drink."
"It's safe," Garion said. "Mostly."
Rendric, still looking around, couldn't stop himself from muttering.
"This looks less like a sect and more like a divine temple for training."
Garion smiled. "That's the point."
"The God Gym is meant to make people feel like they've stepped into another world, a place where effort turns into power."
Raviel looked around once more, his eyes gleaming with curiosity.
"I can't deny it… This place feels incredible. It's nothing like the cultivation halls we have back in our clan."
Garion crossed his arms, satisfied. "It's not about wealth or decoration. It's about function."
"Every space here exists for a reason. It's to make the body and mana stronger together."
Raviel nodded slowly, clearly impressed. "I can see that. Everything feels… precise. Nothing wasted."
Garion smiled faintly. "Exactly. Now come on. Let's actually use it. I'll show you how this place works."
Raviel's grin widened. "You mean I get to train here?"
Garion chuckled. "Of course. It's a gym, not a museum. Let's start with something simple."
He led them across the bright training hall toward a metal rack with thick steel bars and stacked weights.
Rendric followed behind cautiously, glancing at every strange piece of equipment like it might bite him.
"What is this one called?" Raviel asked, studying the barbell.
Garion patted the steel bar. "This is for squats. It strengthens your legs, core, and overall balance."
"For cultivators like us, it helps the body handle mana circulation better."
Rendric frowned slightly. "So you just… stand up and sit down with that thing on your back?"
Garion laughed. "Pretty much, yes."
He then grabbed a few plates and began loading them onto the bar until the total weight reached around 400 kilograms.
Raviel's eyebrows rose. "That's quite a lot of weight, Garion."
Garion smiled, stepping under the bar and setting it across his shoulders. "It's not as bad as it looks."
He lowered himself down slowly, his knees bending perfectly. His breath stayed steady, his back straight.
Then, with one smooth motion, he pushed himself back up.
Rendric and Raviel both watched quietly as Garion did another rep and another, moving with controlled precision.
Inside, Garion was a little surprised.
'Huh… this doesn't feel that heavy anymore. My body feels lighter and stronger since the awakening. Maybe this is the effect of the [Graviton Physique].'
After twelve solid repetitions, he stood tall and carefully re-racked the barbell. His breathing was calm, barely strained.
Raviel blinked. "That's it? Up and down? It looks so simple."
Garion nodded. "It is simple, but it works. Every movement targets a specific muscle. The goal is control and effort, not show."
Rendric crossed his arms. "So this is what you made your disciples do day after day?"
Garion grinned. "Exactly. Over and over again. You'd be surprised how much progress comes from repetition."
Raviel gave a small laugh. "No wonder your disciples' bodies looked so… different."
Garion nodded. "That's the essence of a gym. We forge strength the hard way."
Raviel stretched his arms. "Alright then, let me try. Can't let a guest show off without joining in."
Rendric's eyes widened. "Patriarch, are you sure? You're not him. This looks… dangerous."
Raviel waved his hand dismissively. "Nonsense. It's just lifting. How hard could it be?"
Garion chuckled, then began removing a few plates.
Raviel frowned. "What are you doing?"
"Taking off some weight," Garion said.
"You might be a Third Realm cultivator, but this isn't the same kind of strength. It's physical weight, not mana weight."
Raviel scoffed. "Please, you don't need to worry. I can handle it. I'm not that fragile."
Garion paused for a moment, then shrugged. "Alright then. Your call."
He put the plates back on and stepped to the side, standing behind Raviel as a spotter, ready to help if things went wrong.
Raviel stepped under the bar, adjusting his grip confidently. "So I just bend my knees and stand back up, right?"
Garion nodded. "Keep your back straight and control your breathing. Don't rush it."
Raviel nodded as he began to start his first barbell squat.
